This story shall continue soon, I'm writing the next chapter now.
Basis: Sakura is gone, What happens to Lei?
Time: Set during Clow Cards are being captured, but no continuality needed, any mentions of no characters or something different to the series, is due to what shall happen in a later chapter, or what I feel is important to the character development.
I don't own Cardcaptors Sakura, and no copywright infringement is intended.
Nothing Without You ~ Miko59Chapter 1 – The Whirlpool on the Lake
Lei sat on the lake alone, as it shall always be, he thought. Or perhaps how it should have been. Or how it was meant to be.
It had seemed like that not so long ago. Life was so simple. He knew his purpose, he knew what he was doing with his life. He was trained for this purpose, he went off when the time came to find the Clow Cards, which he was the heir to.
But then something incredible happened, something unexpected. He found a young girl was capturing the cards, he laughed at the thought of calling her young, she was after all the same age as him!
With he came something more unexpected, than just Sakura. How that name had seemed strange before, but now it was as familiar as the water that was brushing against his feet.
The feelings that came with knowing Sakura were so strange, that it took time for Lei to work out what they were. He wished to himself that he had done something about those feelings then, and not debated what they meant. He knew what they were he was just too afraid to admit it. Too Afraid
He thought about all those good times , with Meiling always playing games with him. He wondered if he had just been a little more open, and not so cold to expressing the feelings they all felt. Was that just the way he was? No he wasn't here to make excuses. If that was why he was here, then simply he would not be here.
Those good times would never come again, she is gone now, gone forever. Sakura is gone. What had happened to her? Lei had played it through in his head , many times. But it was too difficult to re-think now., what had been was too painful.
Was it a day ago that he had been with them? They had all gone off to the park, really of course they were on the hunt for Clow Cards. She could sense them, just as he could, doesn't this mean they should have been together? Just on in a whole line of reasons why they should have been, but overall Lei's feelings would have binded them. Meiling would have never stopped them,if they really wanted to be together.
The past was too difficult to think of, the future no longer existed, and then his present had already died…
