Buffy ran.
She ran not because she loved Riley or any reason that Xander brought up.
Nope. Not even close.
Hell, she wasn't even running for Riley. Not really.
Sure, she was running after him, but not for him. Know what I mean? 'Course not. No one ever does.

For those of you who have never heard of me, I'm Whistler. A good demon sent by The Powers That Be to even the score between good and evil.
And what was I suppose to do? Help Angel. Help him avert the apocalypse.
Some vampires and other lowlifes think that that was Acathla. That I failed and thank TPTB that Buffy was there and blah, blah, blah.
Nope. Wrong again.
The true apocalypse isn't even on the radar -yet. That's why poor Angel is getting hounded by Wolfram & Hart, and all that. And we aren't even going to get into Darla and Drusilla. Talk about some screwed up plans. Anyway.
But the most interesting thing in all of this is that Buffy wasn't even suppose to be still around.
Trust me, the Watchers aren't the only ones who don't believe what she's done. No one ever saw her coming.
Hell, she was suppose to die and stay dead after the Master killed her. Our boy Angel was suppose to kill the master, not Buffy.
TPTB have this whole thing for dramatic irony. The person who the Master thought was going to be his right hand come the apocalypse, being the one that kills him?
Yep, right up TPTB's alley.
Anyway, tell me if I'm jumping around too much, that damn curse and all that.

But sadly, he went off to Belize before she could scream at him. So, what did she do? Act just like she did after Angel.
That poor girl. If the whole plan of TPTB don't work out she's going to have some hang-ups about sex and men and all that. Course she already does have some hang-ups. but beside the point.
Angel's falling in love with Buffy screwed everything up. No one saw Buffy coming but no one, NO ONE, saw Angel and Buffy coming. That wasn't even a thought, an option, anything.
'Course, love's blind and all that. I tried to warn him. but after Buffy killed the Master I knew that nothing was going to go according to plan.
