Luz set the trunk in her new room.
"Alright, time to see if my weapons got damaged." Luz said.
Shutting the door to her new room, Luz opened the trunk and saw all of her weapons inside. All of them sectioned and ready to pull out or put away quickly. Though she could use almost anything to fight, these were her personal favorites. The first weapon was a metal bat covered in four layers of barbed wire and welded on razor blades, dried blood covered some of it as Luz used it as her main weapon to kill criminals. The second weapon was a pair of black brass knuckles. They appeared a bit worn out but still sturdy enough to use repeatedly. The third weapon Luz had a sheathed combat knife, military grade and colored black to blend in with the night. Best weapon of choice for more precise attacks instead of brute force bludgeoning. And last but not least, the fourth weapon was a 16 millimeter revolver that Luz personally customized for her needs. If it was official, it would be made illegal in almost every country in the world with how much power it packed. It was a full foot long with a ten inch vertical double barrel and two inch long dual chambers, which themselves were layers as an outer chamber and inner chamber, each time the trigger was pulled, the outer chamber rotated clockwise, while the inner chamber rotated counter clockwise. Each chamber can hold up to six bullets, allowing a total of twelve bullets to be held at one time, and the gun was designed to fire two bullets at once the moment you pulled the trigger.
'Eat your heart out, Devil May Cry 4.' Luz thought with a smirk, thanking the game for its inspiration for her modifications.
Luz went back to digging through her trunk and pulled out a few assault rifles before she found her jacket.
"I really need to learn to stitch. This has three bullet holes in this."
Her vigilante suit was simple but useful. A blue denim jacket, a Kevlar vest that was self made, capable of handling anything below a close range buckshot blast, a white shirt with blood stains, a pair of blue jeans, red sneakers, tinted glasses, a red scarf mask and a Rebel flag baseball cap.
"Okay, I can put that in the closet, now where is my wrist grappler?"
Luz rummage through the trunk and found it. A metal bracelet that fits on her wrist. It shoots out a grappling hook that she uses to traverse through towns. Aiming it at her high ceiling, Luz fired a line and quickly pulled it back before it could punch a hole in the roof.
"Still working, and little slack." Luz said as she looked it over, "That will be useful when I learn the city."
There was a knock on the door.
"Mija, are you settling in okay?"
Pulling off her grappling bracelet, Luz put it back in her trunk and shut it.
"I'm settling in just fine, mom." Luz said through the door before going to open it.
"I thought that you should go explore the city before the truck with the rest of our stuff arrives."
"Though that sounds good but I could get lost." Luz said of her mother.
"You and I both know you have ways of NOT getting lose." Camilia said to her young adult daughter. "You do parkour as a hobby."
"No, I do it for work." Luz countered.
Luz walked past before Camila grabbed her arm.
"Give me the gun."
Luz huffed and put the revolver into Camila's hand.
"Wasn't even loaded." Luz said.
"You still don't have a permit for it and I don't want you making a band impression in our new home." Camilia said to Luz.
"I don't have a permit for any of my guns, most of them I... confiscated from criminals." Luz said.
Luz walked outside and gasped when she saw Lilith standing next to a brand new Ducati, high end, tens of thousands more than her old one.
"Camila told me that you had to sell your last motorcycle, so I figured I would get you a welcoming gift." Lilith said, "I don't believe we've been properly introduced, I am Lilith Clawthorne, the smartest scientist on the west coast, retired."
"Wow Luz said, gazing in awe at the motorcycle. "You actually got this for me?"
"I figured you would need it to get around. Believe me, public transportation is unreliable here." Lilith said as she handed Luz the keys to the motorcycle. "Please don't think as this as a bribe to get you to like me, I understand it will take time for you to accept I am a part of your life now."
"I love it, thank you." Luz said, taking the keys.
Luz got on and started it. Lilith quickly put a helmet on Luz's head.
"Safety first."
Luz took off on and drove into town. Lilith watched Luz drive down the driveway before making a blue circle with her fingers. A thing of roses appeared in her hands.
"Time to find Camila."
The witch/scientist headed into the mansion to search for the woman that won her heart, eager to surprise her with the roses and fully welcome her into her home.
