"Yeah, they showed up about a year ago." Gus said.

'A year huh? Sound like a couple of rookies compared to me.' Luz thoughts, having years worth of vigilante experience under her belt.

"Really? Can you tell me more about them? I've taken an interest in vigilantes since this one guy came to my attention." Luz said as she referred to herself or in this case, "himself."

"Well, they go by Toxin and Abomination." Willow said.

"That sounds... interesting. I'm assuming those names are specialized towards something about them?" Luz asked.

"Yeah, that's the rumor that goes around." Skara said, "Now, why don't you tell us about that guy?"

"Sure, but he may not be too you're liking." Luz wanted them.

"What's so bad about him?" Willow asked with a shrug.

"We'll, judging by his name, you just may not like him. He goes by Mr. Hardcore and he works by brutalizing the criminals he encounters. I even saw one time when he saved me, he used this crazy metal bat with barded wife and razor blade welded to it." Luz said as a waiter came to their table.

"A metal bat with barbed wire and razor blades?" Skara repeated with wide eyes.

"Damn. The name fits TOO well, that is hardcore." Gus said with shock.

"I've heard of him." Amity said, "Rumor has it that criminals get chill's up their spines just by saying his name."

"I've heard he can beat a small army with nothing but his intelligence and bare hands." Boscha said.

"Yeah, those rumors were very high in my town. Some say he's a myth, an urban legend." Luz said, "He's real though, and he's the only thing that criminal's truly fear."

"But there are some rumors I hope aren't true. Like him…killing criminals. I know they broke the law but that's just going too far." Skara said with a slight shiver.

"It may be gruesome but sometimes, it has to be done. Like how the justice systems decides who gets the death penalty or not." Luz said before placing her order to the waiter.

"You know a lot about him." Willow asked.

"Of course, I know a lot about him, I was in the town he protects. He was in the news there quite a bit."

"You lived in his town?" Gus asked with great interest.

"Yep. Really cesspool until Mr. Hardcore put his foot down." Luz said.

"Have you ever seen his face?" Gus asked.

"Anyone that's seen his face is in a six foot hole."

"Okay that takes the whole secret identity too far." Willow commented.

"Some people just like their secrets. Some are a little too serious like him but that's just how it is. Though that hasn't stopped people from imagining and drawing sketches." Luz said.

"You really think highly about him, don't you?" Skara asked.

"He saved my life. It was different there. I could've gotten shot down in the middle of the street just by breathing wrong. He showed up and put an end to that."

The more Luz talked about this vigilante, the more they wondered about him. That's all they could think about during lunch, which Boscha still paid for like she and Luz bet. After a few more hours, they all went their separate ways, promising to meet again later. As Luz got back on her new motorcycle, the thought of Bonesborough's vigilantes came to mind. This Toxin and Abomination. If she runs into them, would they be friendly or would they become her enemies?

'That's a lot to think about.' Luz thought, putting on her helmet.

She looked at the sun and smiled, she knows she shouldn't go back in head first, but she misses the adrenaline rush. As she drove away, Boscha and Amity went to their penthouse.

"So, can I stop hiding my third eye?" Boscha asked.

"We're literally a minute away from our penthouse, you can wait." Amity said, looking at the sun setting, "Ready for patrol?"

"More than you know." Boscha said with a smirk.

The two got into their penthouse and Amity pressed a button. A secret wall opened, revealing two costumes. One yellow, one purple.

"Alright, suit up." Amity said.

Anyone that remembers Lightning Bolt, might remember Toxin, but you might not recognize Abomination. I haven't gotten to that point yet, but I decided to bring her and Toxin into this instead of letting them fade to obscurity. Follow, Favorite, and Review for more.
