Luz grabbed Skara's arm and pulled her into her room.

"How the hell do you know about that?"

Skara flinched at how hard Luz was gripping her arm but remained calm as she gave Luz her answer.

"You aren't as subtle as you might think." Skara said, pulling out her phone, which was connected to Luz's laptop, "You think I wouldn't notice that someone in my town was hacking something?"

Luz walked over and closed her computer.

"I'll admit, I'm impressed, that is meant to be impossible to hack, even by the military and government."

"Yeah, I'm kind of a hacking expert." Skara said, "I figured, who would want to know about a gun runner's phone so badly, then I traced your location here."

"Well, if you know about me, then you know what I do to people that learn about my identity."

"You don't need to do that, I can help you."

"No, I don't need someone getting hurt by helping me."

"Then at least trust me to keep it a secret."

"Hmmm, FINE. But you tell NO ONE about my work. Only my mother knows, and Lilith is working her way up. The less people know I'm a vigilante, the better." Luz said walked to Skara, glaring in the eyes of the smaller girl. "And let me be clear, I don't care what kind of magic you know, I will HUNT you down if you tell a soul."

'Suddenly, she reminds me of Amity and Boscha but they were NEVER this intense.' She thought with a gulp.

"I swear. I won't tell a soul about this UNLESS it's your mom." Skara said as she held up her right and and putting a left hand on her chest. "Cross my bile sack and hope to be magicless."

"Good." Luz said.

Skara let out a sigh of relief. She was very hesitant about revealing that she knows about Luz, especially since she kills anyone that learns about her.

'Thank Titan.' Skara thought, thanking her species' deity.

"Now, can you tell me more about magic? I used to have a big interest in fantasy when I was younger and now, I think it's back." Luz said as she leaned against her desk.

"Well, there are multiple different types divided into nine sections. It used to be more separate back in the day, but now it's a lot less strict." Skara said, "I found that I'm like my Nini, with having a natural talent aimed towards Bard magic."

"If I was younger, I would ask you to teach me, but that feeling has been gone for a long time." Luz said, "I ran into Abomination and Toxin, would it be safe to assume at least one of them is a witch?"

"From what I've heard and seen, both may be. Abomination got her name from abomination magic, which allows a witch to create a magic clay that you can mold to do anything you want. Become a golem, use it for a cast, anything." Skara said to Luz.

"Yeah, I noticed that." Luz said, "Came face to face with that."

"Toxin may be a potionist, someone who brews remedies, potions, and elixirs, based on her costume color." Skara said.

"Color? What does that have to do with magic?" Luz asked her.

"It's how our kind organized us in magic school before I was born. Mom and Xixi said each track had a color to represent our main Magic type." Skara said as she pulled out her phone and showed Luz an old picture of each track. "Red is for bard/music, yellow is for potions, light blue is for illusions, normal blue is for healing, purple is for oracle, magenta is for abominations, green is for plants, brown is for construction/earth, and orange is for beast keeping."

"Dang, that's a big system." Luz said with a raised brow.

"Yeah, but like I said, the system has changed a lot. Anyway, her color is the same as the Track color, and Abomination's is the same color as Abominations." Skara said, "I... may or may not... have helped them without them knowing."

"And how did you do that?"

"I hacked into databases and sent them files of specific criminals anonymously."

"So, you're just some vigilante helper? Do you even know their identities?" Luz asked about Abomination and Toxin.

"No, they don't trust me enough with that information." Skara said, lying a bit because she had to keep their secrets.

Luz could tell Skara was lying but decided not to push further.

'I have no right to judge though since only my mom knew until we moved here.' Luz thought.

"So, is there anything else you wish to know about Bonesborough? Like any secret hotspots that the other humans don't know about?" Skara asked Luz, changing the subject again.

"Do witches have any weaknesses? From what I've seen, there will most likely be a witch I'll need to fight to help this town."

"Nothing comes to mind but our magic doesn't work on a special metal alloy. Nth metal, like in that comic series about a man dressed as a bat." Skara said.

"You mean that's real? That is actually real?" Luz asked her.

"Witches and demons are real, why not Nth metal?" Skara asked back.

'Where the hell could I get that?' Luz thought.

"Come on, let's go back downstairs." Skara said, "If we're up here any longer, they might start thinking we're in a relationship."

"Relationship with you? Ha! Sorry, Skara but I'm too much woman for you." Luz said as she walked past Skara and out of her room.

"What? Are you saying you think you're too good for me?!" Skara asked, offended as she turned to follow Luz.

"I didn't say anything like that. I'm just saying I'm too rough around the edges for a dainty little girl like you to handle." Luz said with a smirk.

"Too much woman for me." Skara mumbled, "Coming from the girl that cross dresses and pretends to be a man every night."

"That's just for identity purposes. Outside of that, I'm all woman. Tomboyish but a woman all the same." Luz said as they walked down the steps.

"Keep telling yourself that." Skara said with an eye roll.

"Just so you know, I keep a pistol on me at all times." Luz said.

That got Skara to stop talking.

"Don't worry, I won't use it on friends or family. I just wanted to let you know." Luz said with a smirk.

'She's more intense than Boscha and Amity combined.' Skara thought
