Luz walked to the fridge and opened it. She didn't see beer, but she did find around six bottles of Russian Vodka. She grabbed the bottle and unscrewed the top. It might have been a big bottle, meant for several people, but she didn't care. It takes about two of these for her to feel buzzed, the downside of working so hard to stay fit, alcohol really doesn't work as well.
"Bottoms up." Luz said as she brought the bottle to her lips.
"WHOA! You gonna drink that all by yourself?" Someone asked, making Luz stop.
She turned to see Eda standing in the doorway with wide eyes.
"Why not? Don't ask how but I got a BIG tolerance for alcohol so this bottle won't even get me tipsy." Luz said as she pointed to the bottle.
"It's pretty selfish of you, Kid. You should always have a drinking buddy." Eda drew a spell circle and made two mugs float over to her hands as she walked over to Luz, "Here, give me the bottle."
Rolling her eyes, Luz decided to drink with Eda and handed her the bottles of Russian Vodka.
"Fine, since you won't leave me be after laughing at my photos." Luz said as she sat at the kitchen island on a stool.
"That was just harmless humor, I know you're a tough gal from looking at you." Eda said as she poured some vodka in each mug.
"So, what kind of magic do you specialize in?"
"All of them. In the old order, I would've been called a wild witch for studying more than one but now, I'm fine." Eda said as she made a water ball before extinguishing it with fire.
"Exactly how many types of magic are there?" Luz asked as she sipped her mug.
"A lot." Eda said, "Way too much to talk about, unless of course you want to have gray hair by the end."
"DANG. Never mind then. Though I wonder if a human could learn magic or is that just in books and media?" Luz asked Eda
"Who knows, no Human has ever tried." Eda said, downing her drink in one gulp, "And that's how you drink Kid."
"Please." Luz said, downing her drink and then chugging half the bottle, "That's how you drink."
Eda gave a slight glare to Luz before she drew a spell circle, opening the fridge and pulling the other 5 bottles of Russian Vodka to the kitchen island.
"This just got real." Eda said in a low tone.
"Okay then, old woman. Show me what you got." Luz said with a smirk.
"With age comes wisdom, and I have the wisdom to drink." Eda said.
"Wisdom is overrated. What really matters is guts." Luz said before pouring Eda a fresh mug of Russian Vodka. "Let's see how much yours can take."
"It's on, Luz." Eda said.
The two started a drinking game. Whoever dropped first would lose, varying from chugs to shots to just straight from the bottle! It went on for a good 20 minutes before Lilith came into the kitchen.
"Edalyn, what the fuck are you doing!?"
"I... ugh."
Eda fell and Luz smiled.
"I won! Take that Owl Lady!"
Luz hiccupped a bit as she had a small smile on her face, drinking really did relax you and make everything goofy.
"Luz, did you have a drinking contest using FOUR bottles of Russian Vodka?!" Lilith screamed as everyone heard her.
"WHAT?!" Camila asked, that was her good stuff.
"Maybe…. but I won! I drank Eda under the table!" Luz cheered as she raised her mug, still having some vodka.
Lilith took it from her.
"No, you are done." Lilith said, "I'm bringing my sister and her family home. When we get back, I am going to have a very long conversation with you, young lady."
"What? I'm 24, I'm old enough to drink!" Luz complained as she stood up, a little wobbly.
"You still need to drink responsibility and getting into a drinking contest is NEVER responsible." Lilith said as everyone else walked in.
"Holy crap, she really drank mom under the table." Skara said with wide eyes.
"In my defense... she challenged me." Luz said.
"Room. Now." Lilith said.
Luz groaned at this as she turned to leave, stumbling a bit but staying standing.
"Fine, mom! I need to sleep it off anyway." Luz said as she hiccupped again, the booze slowly making her sleepy. "I'll also pay for the bottles of Vodka.
"We will still be talking about this, Mija!" Camila said, still upset about Luz drink four of her private bottles!
Those were meant for special occasions. Luz walked up to her room, where she picked up a knife.
"I don't see the big deal, I can still throw a knife." Luz said, throwing it at her door.
Her door had a target board on it and her aim was for a bullseye but it was in the area right outside of it. Just Millimeters from the very center.
"Damn, I think I really am drunk." Luz mumbled as her aim was just SLIGHTLY off.
Still, she was still in fighting form is she needed to be. Luz could still kick someone's ass as she laid on her bed, dozing off to sleep. A small hangover would await her, but she could deal with something small like that.
"Now... what to do?"
