Stripping out of her civilian clothes, Luz quickly put on Mr. Hardcore's clothes, mask, and hat before she grabbed the criminal phone that was still plugged into her computer.
"Let's see what shady dealings are going on." Luz said before putting in the sunglasses.
There was a new text, saying to get to the warehouse.
"Perfect."
Grabbing all her weapons, Luz rushed to her window and opened it to use her grappling bracelet to swing off to town.
"Alright, it should be about a mile from the beach." Luz said.
Continuing through the trees, wanting to avoid Abomination and Toxin since she didn't know where to get Nth metal, Luz reached the beach in about 15 minutes.
"Alright, I should be there in a couple of- wait, this place has a pier? I am so going there later."
Piers adjacent to beaches all had one thing in common, they were basically carnivals on top of a long bridge. And Luz used to LOVE going to piers or carnivals.
"Almost... almost brings back memories." Luz shook her head, "Focus, people's lives are at stake."
Landed in a tree, Luz looked around for the warehouse the criminal meeting was taking place.
'The message said 1 miles from the beach.' She thought.
It didn't take long for her to find it. She grappled to the roof and looked at the old building.
"A little damaged but soundproof. No one would believe that people meet here."
Luz looked around for a skylight and approached it, looking down into the building to see the inside was a lot better than the outside. The perfect cover too. Soon, there were people going inside. Luz smirked under her mask.
"Where's the fuse box?" Luz said, "That will help immensely."
With old warehouses like this one, the fuse box is normally on the inside in the back room. If Luz can find a way from the roof to the back room, she can take out these thugs before they have a chance to pull out flashlights. She walked to the edge of the roof and pointed her grappler down. She got the line in the roof and repelled down.
"Alright, now there should be a storage room through this door."
Dropping to the back door, Luz kneeled before it and gazed at it from several angles before she punched through the door and unlocked it from the other side. Picking locks is overrated when you're strong enough to cave a skull in, which can transfer to smashing through doors. Luz walked in an immediately cut the wires to the fuse box, sending the whole warehouse into darkness.
"What happened?!"
"Did a fuse go out?!"
"Someone get the damn light on!"
Luz could hear all of the thugs screamed in confusion of the lights and being left WIDE open for her to deal with them. Luz pulled out her bat and smirked. She ran into the pitch black room and started to attack. She hit one with her bat, aiming at the neck, getting an easy kill as a razor hit's their jugular. Luz grabbed the body and tossed it at another thug, knocking them down and giving her the opportunity to get one of her brass knuckles out and proceeded to beat him to death.
'2 down, more to go!' Luz thought as she speeds off to the next thug.
The screams and the sound of bodies dropping antlered everyone else as they tried to find out who was doing this. A gun fired, illuminating the room for a brief second. showing the Vigilante himself, as well as killing two more thugs. Soon there was only one left. Luz threw her knife and it hit his leg.
"GAH!" He screamed as he fell to the ground, clutching his leg.
"Now that we're alone, we can have a nice long talk." Luz said as her voice was disguised, walking to the last living thug.
She grabbed him by the shirt collar and picked him off the ground.
"So, what do you know about someone named, the Commander?" Luz asked, "And before you try to deny anything, I know how to kill someone eight different ways... with my thumb. Want to know what I can do with my hole hand?"
The thug gulped in fear, slightly gazing around to see the ones that were bludgeoned to death! He could assume what will happen if he doesn't cooperate! A slap to the face, which felt like a brick, hit him and made him refocus on Luz.
"Oooh." He groaned.
"Hey, eyes on Mr. Hardcore." Luz said as she pointed to herself. "Now, about the Commander."
"He... he contacts us, no one's really seen him."
"Hmm, maybe if I dropped you off the roof, it will crack your head open and I can look for the answers in your brain!"
"NO! NO! Please! PLEASE!" He said as he waved his left hand in front of him
"Then keep talking." Luz said to him.
"He has a base just out of town! That's all I know I swear!" He said.
"Good."
Reaching into his pockets, Luz pulled out his phone and saw there was a passcode looks. One glare at the man was enough for him to reveal it before Luz slammed him in the ground, leaving him unconscious.
"39104." Luz said as she put the code in and unlocked his phone.
"A brand new clue, perfect. Night's still young, I might be able to get this done tonight."
"Would that be a personal record for you?" A voice asked Luz.
