Hey everyone. Hope you're all enjoying your summer as well as you can. I know I am. So here's the next chapter. Thanks to my co-authors Brightburn1985 and ThomasMarieAmell2.0.

Disclaimer: I don't own The Flash

It was another day at the office. Finally, at long last, Julian and Barry would be able to have separate offices. The two were friends now, and were able to work together easily enough, but it didn't stop the fact the two of them wanted their own space.

Since Barry had seniority, Barry would keep the original and Julian would move out, but they'd agreed the lab was for both of them.

"Hey Barry," Joe greeted him, but he seemed distracted by something.

"Something on your mind Joe?" Barry raised an eyebrow in suspicion. "Is it Cecile? Something going on between you two?"

Recently, Joe had struck up a relationship with the DA, Cecile Horton. The team was happy for Joe, but they didn't hear about how his relationship was going and they respected his privacy so they didn't bother to ask.

"No, Cecile and I are doing fine." Joe shook his head. "A couple guys just came in and asked about Off. Dibny. Do you remember him? Ralph Dibny?"

"Do I remember him? The guy was a jerk. Why would anybody be looking for him?" Barry huffed in irritation.

"Your guess is as good as mine." Joe shrugged. "But I told them that last I heard, Dibny was working as a PI. And they left."

"You think Dibny is in trouble?" Barry asked.

"Well now I'm thinking about that." Joe said in worry. "You wouldn't mind heading over there just to check? I know you and Dibny don't see eye to eye-"

"That's a mild way of putting it," Barry crossed his arms.

"But just make sure he's okay. I got the address he's working from. Just go and make sure he's okay. If he is, no harm, no foul." Joe asked him.

Barry sighed. "Fine. I'll do it for you." Barry grabbed the sheet with the address and exited the building discreetly.

Coming up to the address, Barry didn't know what shocked him more, the fact that Dibny was being held by his feet on top of a building, or that Dibny seemed to slowly be melting from the roof onto the pavement. It seemed Dibny was freaking out about that too. It must be a new development.

The rest of Dibny's body dropped from the roof and joined the upper body on the ground, but it didn't return back to normal. It looked like his body had been stretched like taffy, like the boy from 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'.

"Flash?! You got to help me! Fix me up! Something!" Dibny frantically shouted once he'd taken notice of the hero's presence.

Barry damned his good nature, but he couldn't in good conscience leave Dibny helpless like this, scared and unsure about his newfound powers.

But if he'd looked up at the people on the roof, who were peering over the ledge to see what was happening, Barry would see their smirks. The man was everything the boss had told them.

"What is happening to me!" Dibny shouted in distress.

"Look, you need to calm down. Panicking about this isn't going to make things better." Barry said, still in his Flash uniform.

"You are going to fix what happened to me, if it is the last thing you do." Dibny threatened him. It would have been a lot more intimidating if not for the fact his arms and legs were useless piles of spaghetti.

The entire team was here trying to help. Well, Caitlin and Julian were trying to figure out what was going on, the rest were observing while Barry was taking Dibny's verbal abuse.

"Okay, as we already know, Ralph Dibny seems to have the ability to stretch himself, but his internal structure seems to be intact. They seem to have stretched alongside him." Julian informed them.

"His cells are so interesting. It's as if he were a living silly putty." Caitlin spoke up.

"I'm a silly putty?" Dibny asked in despair.

"Don't worry, we'll be able to figure out how to turn you back, if you don't figure it out for yourself first." Caitlin said.

"Oh, where you're concerned, I'm not worried in the slightest." Dibny shamelessly flirted with her.

"Don't talk to her like that." Barry grumbled.

"Don't get jealous. You have no reason to, Barry." Caitlin realized her mistake the moment it left her mouth.

"Barry? Are you talking about Barry Allen?" Dibny said in shock.

"No…?" Cisco tried to say.

"Allen is the Flash?"

Everybody just waited to see what Barry would do. Barry just sighed and removed his cowl, revealing his face.

"No! Why'd you have to be the Flash? I liked the Flash. Now I have to hate the Flash." Ralph shouted.

"This is your fault Mrs. Frosty. You couldn't just keep your mouth shut?" Barry growled.

"I'm sorry. Okay this is on me Fleet Feet, I take full blame on this one." Caitlin apologized.

"That! Why couldn't you have referred to me by that? It wouldn't have been so blatantly obvious."

"It slipped out because in that moment, you were acting more as Barry rather than the Flash. If nothing else, we could always try to zap his memory." Caitlin suggested.

"Hey! No! Nobody is going to be messing with my head. I've got important stuff in here." Ralph objected.

"Oh? Like what? How to ruin your life? How to be a complete jerk?"

"I was a good cop. I was a good person, and you messed everything up."

"You messed it up yourself. You were the one who did that, not me, you. You only have yourself to blame."

"Okay, I think you need to leave," Caitlin tried to push Barry out of the room.

"What? Why? He's the one-" Barry asked, taken aback.

"No matter what he's done, he's the one lying on a hospital bed with limbs as noodles. Until we manage to figure out a solution, I'm going to have to ask you to get out since it seems you two can't get along."

"Fine!" Barry huffed indignantly and strolled off.

"So once we figure this out, I'm free tonight if you want to get out of here." Ralph suggested to Caitlin.

Caitlin's eyes widened and instantly raised her hand with the ring. "I'm engaged."

"He can join as well if he's interested."

"I doubt that, and I doubt you would be either." Caitlin said.

"Do I know this guy?" Ralph raised an eyebrow.

"Yes you do," Caitlin gazed longingly out the window to where Barry was changing out of his suit.

Ralph followed her gaze and groaned once again. "It's Allen? Geez. The guy makes it harder and harder not to give him any respect. I mean, any guy who's able to get a piece of your hot ass deserves respect. But seriously, Allen? Is it just because he's the Flash?"

"It is so much more than just him being the Flash. He's-" Caitlin tried to say.

"That's really interesting 35, 24, 35." Ralph interrupted her.

"Did you just give my…?" Caitlin asked, enraged. She suddenly saw the jerk Barry was talking about. If Barry were here, he would have beaten his ass to the ground, and by the looks on everyone else, they all agreed. But Barry wasn't here.

Caitlin layered her hand with a thick coating of ice and bashed his head in. Ralph's head absorbed the blow, but the whiplash caused his face to peel off.

Joe rushed to a trashcan and hurled into it. "3 years of this stuff and I finally hurled." Joe took deep breaths from the disgust he felt at the look of Ralph's face.

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Caitlin shouted.

Barry returned after hearing all the commotion. "What's going on?"

Barry winced when seeing Dibny's face that had been slightly peeled off.

Ralph gingerly grabbed his face and screamed in horror.

"Oh don't be dramatic. That didn't hurt. Your elasticity absorbed the impact." Caitlin grumbled and rolled her eyes.

"You did that?" Barry asked in shock, seeing as how Caitlin sent him away for arguing with Ralph, but now it seems Caitlin had actually punched him.

"This guy tried to get fresh with me." Caitlin informed him. "And he gave me my 'measurements'."

Barry's eyes widened in realization at what she'd implied and anger overtook him and he sent a fast punch to Dibny's head.

Ralph quickly recovered. His face couldn't be more messed up than it already was. "Now Allen-"

He didn't get the chance to finish as Barry sent another punch that everybody swore broke the sound barrier. Barry had achieved a supersonic punch with nothing but the swing of his arm. They pitied the next person who even thought about laying a hand on Caitlin.

The force of that punch was enough that Dibny's neck was stretched out, taking his head with him to the ground.

Barry ignored that and hurried to Caitlin to embrace her and place a kiss on her lips. "I'm sorry you had to deal with that. I love you so much, and I am never going to let any guy talk to you like that."

"I can handle myself, but it's nice to see I don't have anything to worry about." Caitlin smiled at him and embraced him in another kiss.

"Here. Take this." Caitlin handed Ralph a flask with some blue liquid inside. "This solution should cause your cells to revert back into their default setting, i.e. your original body."

"I'm not just going to drink something when I have no idea what it is." Ralph said, looking at the solution with suspicion.

"It's 17% alcohol." Caitlin told him.

"Honey, you should have led with that." Ralph said eagerly. Caitlin put a straw in the flask so Ralph could drink it.

Once it was all gone, the effects were beginning to take place. His limbs retracted back into his body and his face was rearranged back to how it was. He was looking like a normal dishevelled man.

"Oh, I'm back. I can move my arms again. I can walk." Ralph stood up excitedly. "So how are you going to get me to not have that happen again?"

"How long have you had your powers?" Barry asked.

"Today's the first day I knew about them. Always hoped I would get powers some day though."

"Well, I'm guessing that your powers were dormant until today. The stress and fear you experienced today from being dangled from a building must have activated your powers." Caitlin theorized. "Now you just need to practise with your powers. The more you do it, the more control you'll have so you don't need to constantly be drinking this formula we've concocted. But for the meantime, Julian and I can make some more."

"Right. So who's going to be helping me with that?" Ralph asked.

"That sounds like your problem. We're already helping you by giving you a failsafe, now you need to put in the work yourself to control your own powers." Barry responded.

"Oh come on. You're just going to leave me out in the cold like this? I have no idea what I'm doing here. I thought you helped people." Ralph shouted.

Caitlin coughed to grab Barry's attention. "Barry, can we talk? In private?"

Barry nodded and the two went to the hallway to have their conversation. "Are you asking me to train Ralph, because if you are, the answer is no."

"As much as it pains me, really it does, but we can't throw him out." Caitlin said.

"Why are you defending this guy? He made inappropriate comments about you. And you think those people were dangling him from a roof for good intentions?"

"Because both of us know what he's going through. To be forced with powers that we have no idea about. We've each had teachers to help us along the way. He's asking us for help, and we're just supposed to turn him away?"

Barry shook his head. "I hate that guy Caitlin. And this is me. You know me. That guy is not worth it."

"What did he do to make you hate him so much?" Caitlin asked.

"When I first started on the force, he seemed okay. A little arrogant, but nothing that stood out. It was my first ever case. Home invasion. Woman stabbed to death. None of the officers could find anything. Ralph comes in and moments later finds a knife with the woman's blood on it. Fingerprints belonged to the husband, and that was it. Case closed.

"But when I studied the wound on the woman, the marks didn't match with the knife Dibny found. It was a different knife that killed her. So that meant Dibny planted evidence to frame the husband just so he could take the credit. He was going to send an innocent man to prison. I brought the evidence to the Captain. Dibny was kicked off the force, and the husband was released. Dibny has blamed me for how his life has turned out ever since."

"Oh Barry, I can't begin to understand how that must have felt for you." Caitlin said, noting the similarities to the case with Barry's own parents. Barry must have taken that very personally at the time. "Dibny did a bad thing, there's no denying that, and there are no excuses for what he'd done. But that was years ago. Maybe he's changed since then."

"Oh yeah, he's changed. But not for the better. He's always been a bad person, and he always will be."

"You can't actually believe that. People change. Dibny's obviously trying to make up for what he's done since then. He's become a PI. He's still trying to help people. That says a lot about his character."

"He's still a scumbag," Barry muttered.

"I'm not denying that, but he deserves the chance to prove himself to you." Caitlin said. "Help him. It's the right thing to do."

Barry sighed. "You are amazing, you know that right? You have such a big heart and are willing to give the benefit of the doubt to people. I don't deserve you."

"Well that's up for debate since I don't think I deserve you. You're just so frustrating sometimes." Caitlin rolled her eyes.

"You still love me?" Barry kissed her knuckles.

"Always," Caitlin answered and brought him in for a kiss.

Barry had agreed to train Ralph, at least until he got the basics down. But Barry wanted it to be known that he was against this.

They created a schedule with Ralph. He'd come to STAR on some days to help him test and experiment with his powers in the basement. Eventually, the goal is to impart Ralph full control of his powers so he doesn't lose his face every time he sneezes. And just as it was with every power, there was a lot of potential within Ralph that was waiting to be unlocked. Possibilities they would never have thought of.

Today was the first of those days. Ralph had his three instructors in front of him, Barry, Cisco, and Caitlin. Each of them has undergone some training with their own powers.

"Okay, let's just try to get you to access your powers. What were you feeling when you… dropped from that roof?" Barry asked.

"Scared for my life. I was thinking 'I don't want to die yet.' And next thing I know, half my body is on the ground while the other is still on the roof." Ralph answered.

"Alright, so you first accessed your powers through fear." Caitlin said. "Try to capture that feeling of using your powers. Due to the nature of your powers, you're always going to subconsciously be using your powers, like if someone punched you, your body would absorb the blow like rubber. What you need to do is try to actively stretch yourself."

"How am I supposed to do that?" Ralph asked.

"Dude, they're your powers. You try to feel for them. Maybe fling your arms around until they start to stretch." Cisco suggested.

Ralph shrugged and started winding up his arm as if he were about to throw a baseball. His arm extended in a pitch, but nothing happened. His arm stayed the normal length. Ralph returned to his original position and stared at his arm in disappointment. "Maybe…" Ralph grabbed one of his wrists and pulled, trying to stretch his arm himself.

"This is embarrassing, watching a grown man try to pull his own hand off," Cisco commented.

"Maybe it's because he's expecting it. If he's going to tap into the feeling he had back on the roof, he needs to be in actual danger." Caitlin said.

"That can be arranged." Barry said and slowly walked off without Ralph noticing.

After a couple more grunts of effort, Ralph finally gave up. "Guys, I'm feeling pretty solid right now. Is there something you guys can test on me or something?"

The sound of lightning behind Ralph caught his attention and he looked back to see a fist coated in electricity heading towards him. On instinct, Ralph dropped to the ground into a puddle as if his bones had suddenly disappeared.

"That's what you should be aiming for. Turning those instincts into conscious thought." Barry said.

"Except now I have no idea how to change back. Thanks a lot Allen." Ralph said sarcastically.

"At least I got you to do something. If it were up to you, you'd still be trying to pull your hand off."

"Ladies, let's break this up. You're both beautiful." Cisco clapped his hands. "Ralph, you need to concentrate. We're not always going to be in a controlled setting with your solution on hand. You need to control your powers. Try to restructure yourself."

Ralph grunted in effort. "I can barely move. I have no idea how Mr. Fantastic could handle this."

"Everything is still there Ralph. Your bones, your muscles, they're not gone. Just in a different shape than what you're used to. Focus, concentrate. Imagine what you want to do." Caitlin spoke up.

It took most of their time, and eventually they did have to resort to the solution, but Ralph did manage to wiggle his fingers when in that form so it was progress.

Barry and Caitlin decided to completely skip the customary bachelor and bachelorette party. They just wanted to get married as soon as possible to avoid any potential disasters that might occur. They just had a quiet night to themselves in their home, watching bad movies.

They were right in the middle of 'You've Got Mail' when Barry commented, "You don't think something's going to happen with the city anytime soon, do you?"

Caitlin sighed. "At this point, I'm expecting it. We haven't had anything remotely interesting happen in so long. No convoluted plans, just run of the mill metas to take care of."

"I'm just on edge all the time right now. I keep thinking something's going to happen, and it never does, which just puts me more on edge. Abra Kadabra mentioned someone was after him. Next day, he's dead, hung himself. Deacon shows up with a vendetta he admitted to me had no idea why he was doing it. We take him into custody, only he gets out immediately and winds up dead in the river with his powers drained. I just got a call the other day. Somebody broke Sharpe out of prison. It's almost as if somebody has been orchestrating these things to happen."

"That's a bit of a stretch Barry. The only thing I'm seeing are metas. They don't have to be related. Maybe you're trying to find a connection that doesn't exist. Try to relax a little. The wedding is only a couple weeks away."

Barry released a breath to try to calm himself. "You're right. Absolutely right. Just gotta hope this calmness lasts for a little longer. Then we can really start to be a little more paranoid."

"I'm really hoping that was just a joke." Caitlin said.

"Evil doesn't disappear. It just evolves. Something is coming."

"He is still blind my dear. Not able to see what lays in front of his eyes."

"It appears my bait is too well hidden. Something obvious seems to be necessary in order to reel in my catch. Some added vitality to make a spark into a flame."

"I will send word immediately." The woman nodded her head. "There will be another auction soon. Amunet is seeking more tears."

"Wring them out. Be careful though. Our current Weeper is nearing their limit. We'll soon have to find another body, which can be such a hassle."

"On the contrary, our luck seems to be in spades since the recruitment of Miss Fortune."

"Must I repeat myself? I loathe having to depend on such frivolities. As an asset, she is invaluable. But we must not put stock on the unaccountable. The moment we do, everything will come crashing. Do have the mental capacity to grasp what I am saying."

"Okay Ralph, another gift for you. I've been working on this for a long time. Now it's just a prototype, so it's not final, but it should work." Cisco gave Ralph a little grey suit.

"What is this? What am I supposed to do with this?" Ralph asked.

"It's a suit that'll stretch alongside you, so you won't leave your clothes behind. And it's tiny for easy portability. Just put it on, see if it works."

Ralph sighed and went to have some privacy to change out of his clothes.

Cisco looked to Caitlin once he was gone. "Any idea where Barry is? He's not returning any of my texts."

"Case work. Break in at the museum. Nothing was stolen, but a security guard was killed, so the police are looking into it."

"Any idea who it was? Is it something we should be involved in?" Cisco asked.

"No, Barry hasn't asked, so we shouldn't interfere. You know if it were something serious, he would be here like that." Caitlin snapped her fingers to emphasize the point.

And at that moment, Barry appeared with a statue of a lion in a wagon. "I need you guys to look at something for me."

"Speak and he will appear." Cisco said in shock, but went to grab the wagon.

"What was that about?" Barry asked Caitlin.

"We were just talking about you. Why exactly did you bring that thing here?" Caitlin referred to the statue.

"Because I think that thing killed the security guard I told you about."

"What makes you think that?"

"The guy had claw marks on his chest, as if he'd been mauled by an animal. I checked the area, and that statue had blood on its claws, exactly how it would have been if it were alive. I got a sample and confirmed it to belong to the security guard. No stone left unturned and all that, so I brought it here to study."

"I'll see what I can find." Caitlin promised and warily eyed the statue as if it were about to come to life and start attacking.

After some scans, Caitlin thought she had the answer.

"This thing is covered in dark matter. We could be looking at a meta who can animate inanimate objects."

"What can they do? Is it all objects, or just things like statues?" Barry asked.

"I believe they have the potential for all objects, but they can't change their shape. Meaning if they want the objects to move, they have to have characteristics of life, like statues and models. They could try with something like a cup, but I doubt it'd sprout arms and legs."

"So it's 'Night at the Museum'." Cisco whispered in awe. "You think whoever this is would be kind enough to give me my own Amelia Earhart?"

"What? No, why would you-"

"-that relationship is… I don't have the words." Barry and Caitlin said together and shuddered at the mental picture.

Cisco shrugged. "It was just a thought. I still need a date for your wedding."

"So you think you want to convert to objectophilia?" Barry comments.

"I'm desperate. I can't show up to my two best friends' wedding, the ones I helped to make happen, and not come with a date."

"Don't be so dramatic Cisco. Even if you don't bring a date, it's not like you're going to be excluded or anything."

"Okay, let's get back to the case. The metahuman broke into the museum, but nothing was reported stolen. Maybe they'll try again." Barry said.

"Well after last night's break in, the museum is moving some of its exhibits to a more secure holding." Caitlin said. "A collector has agreed to temporarily house them. He lives in a penthouse at this address."

"We'll keep an eye on him. But the museum is still more likely to be hit if the meta is going to try again."

"Someone tripped the alarm at the collector's place." Caitlin reported.

"I stand corrected. Okay, I'll head over now." Barry said, getting into his suit.

"Wait, take me with you." Ralph asked.

"Really? You want to come?" Barry asked. "You don't have a good hold on your powers right now."

"What other place is going to give me a better feeling of danger? Besides, you'll be there to watch my back."

Barry looked at the others to see what they thought.

Cisco shrugged. "He's got the suit I made him. That'll conceal his identity."

"And his powers should make it so he doesn't get hurt. Physically at least." Caitlin added.

Barry sighed. "Fine, get your suit on. We got to go."

Ralph just unbuttoned his shirt to reveal his outfit underneath. Barry looked in confusion before deciding to drop it. There was no time.

Barry grabbed onto Ralph and ran the both of them out of there. Arriving at the scene was a woman who was trying to break open a crate. Whatever she wanted must be inside.

Barry coughed loudly to get her attention. "Hey there. I don't think that belongs to you."

"That's where you're wrong. But I don't need to get into that." she said.

"Wait, you're not going to monologue? I thought that's what all bad guys do." Ralph stated.

"Flash? Help me," said the scared man hiding behind the counter.

The woman looked across the room and her eyes fell upon a suit of armour. With a look of concentration, the armour came to life and started swinging erratically.

"Ralph, go help him. Try to stop that thing." Barry said.

Ralph dove in between the armour and the man and raised his hands. "Okay look, I'm new to all this so if you would take it easy on me I would appreciate-"

The suit made another swing and would have chopped Ralph's torso in half had it not been for Ralph's body to seemingly wrap itself around the metal blade.

"Yeah, see, that's not going easy at all." Ralph complained. The suit released the sword and tried walking around Ralph to get to the man behind him, but Ralph kept intercepting him.

"Why are you doing this?" Barry asked.

"Because I asked to. And he agreed." she answered.

Barry paused. "Who are you talking about? Who's 'he'?"

The woman laughed without humour. "You've been a disappointment. The fastest mind, and only able to see two steps in front of you. We'd hoped for more."

"Who? I don't know what you're talking about,"

"So many clues, and you've never been able to pick up any of them. Such a waste."

"What are you saying? Those things that have been happening lately? They're all connected somehow?"

"Give the man a prize. We've been waiting for you, but you just never seemed to be capable of seeing what's been obvious this whole time." the woman turned to walk away.

"Wait!" Barry called out. "Come back. Tell me who these people are!"

"Well actually my time's all used up." the woman smirked and pulled out a small slip of paper. "Try to be a little less predictable next time. It's not as fun." She tossed the paper right to him.

Barry unfurled the paper and saw the entire conversation he'd just had with the woman word for word.

When Barry looked back up, the woman was gone and he heard a small scream behind him to see Ralph in a crumbled state with the suit standing above him. The sword in its hand raised over the victim's head.

Barry rushed over and phased himself into the suit and vibrated until it was disassembled into pieces, no longer able to move with the woman's meta powers.

"Oh, you let her get away," Ralph moaned on the floor as he stared out the door where the woman ran off.

"Robber's name is Mina Chayton. An anthropology professor. She's cute," Cisco commented.

"Cisco, I'm starting to think you have a type." Caitlin said.

"I've been single for a long time. Give me a break."

"Any idea what she was after?" Barry said to get them back on track.

"The crate she was trying to open was filled with Native American artifacts. And she's actually got a criminal record. She's tried to steal from the museum before because she claimed they were 'desecrating and acquisitioning' her people's artifacts. She was fired from her position at CCU for that. But these reports were just this past year. She should have already had her powers then. Why not use them before?" Caitlin said.

"Maybe she was just a late bloomer like Ralph. A dormant meta gene that just became active. Although Julian actually may have another theory."

"I believe someone is taking and selling meta powers." Julian said.

"Well, that does make sense. Metahumans fetch a pretty hefty price. I mean, you don't know what the price of a speedster is. People would pay big bucks to anyone who could possibly oppose the Flash." Caitlin said.

Everyone turned their heads to Caitlin, which she just shrugged off. "Underground contacts."

"No, not metahumans. Powers." Julian tried to explain.

"You lost me," Cisco shook his head.

"Ramsey Deacon, he was a technopath, took control of the Flash's suit. Wound up dead in the river. I did a blood test, not a trace of dark matter in his system. He'd been drained of his powers. We know it's not impossible. Barry had been drained of his powers on two separate occasions. So the question is, what happened to those powers?"

"You think there's someone out there draining metas of their powers and selling them? You think that's why Chayton got her powers so late in the game? She bought them?" Cisco said in surprise.

"All I know is, Deacon was a meta, and suddenly he wasn't. There has to be an explanation, and that's what I came up with."

"Guys, there's something else," Barry pulled out the scrap of paper Chayton had thrown at him.

They all looked at it dubiously. "What are we looking at? A conversation?"

"This is my conversation with Chayton. Before she ran off."

"Well there's several mentions of other people. She's definitely in cahoots with someone, the question is who, how, and why."

"You don't get it, I didn't write this. Chayton, or whoever she's working for, did." Barry said. "She threw this at me before she got away."

"How is that possible?" Caitlin asked.

"I don't know. This paper, it's been bent. Tightly packed like you would press a book. You don't get this kind of crease if you'd done it this morning. This was written days ago. So several days ago, someone, somehow correctly wrote down the exact conversation I would have. With a person I hadn't even known about until this morning."

"That's not possible," Caitlin shook her head.

"And yet it is. Every single word of it. It even describes how I let Mina go to save Ralph and that collector from the suit of armour. I hadn't even done that yet when she threw it at me."

"Maybe whoever the guy she's working for is a seer. He can see into the future." Cisco suggested.

"I don't know. Chayton mentions several times about me needing to be smarter and unable to see things. And that last bit about being predictable. I believe this person has incredible intelligence. Able to think ten steps ahead and make incredible predictions about what is about to happen. He's a-"

"Thinker!" Cisco shouted. "The Thinker. Not a bad name at all if I do say so myself."

"So what? You think this guy is someone who's been gifted with knowledge?"

"This guy seems to have managed to figure out how to drain and transfer any meta abilities from one person to another. We haven't been able to do that, and we're regarded as the brightest minds in the world. This guy may be beyond us."

"So we're dealing with an underground crime boss. Trafficking powers he's stolen for a quick buck. An intelligent mind. Why haven't we heard of him before?" Cisco commented.

"Because before he was trying to go by unnoticed. Now he's trying to grab my attention." Barry said.

"Why?" Caitlin asked.

"Because he wants me. Or at least, he wants my powers. You said it yourself Caitlin. A speedster fetches a hefty price. He's looking to make me one of his assets."

So there we go. This is how I'm changing Devoe from canon. Instead of having some big elaborate plan, Devoe's got a simple one. He's a meta trafficker that's able to steal the powers of one meta and place them in another for a price and he's looking to take the powers of a speedster, which is why he's orchestrating all of this. I figured, what's the simplest goal? Money.

I also brought Ralph in, but only for this season. I only brought him in because he was such a big part of the season. And obviously, since Devoe doesn't have a terminal illness from his powers, he won't be possessing anyone. At least, not in the mental sense.

Hope you all enjoyed that. See you all next week where we actually start the Nazi invasion.
