Momentary Vacation
Mouse walked into her apartment, her temporary one anyway. She plopped down on the couch after closing the door and let her head fall back lazily. She was exhausted from all the fighting, then the partying. She wanted a vacation. A nice long vacation on one of the beaches of system Tehlani.
She remembered those beaches well. She used to go there all the time and just relax. The sound of the ocean seemed to soothe her and somehow make whatever she was feeling go away.
Then the thought of Daemon popped into her head. She wanted-no, needed to help Dot and the others fight the super virus that had so easily infected the guardians. The one who more than likely wanted to infect Bob and Matrix, the last remaining guardians clean.
Her hacking skills would be needed-she realized then that she was more than likely essential to beating the super virus. Her vacation would have to wait. There was work to be done, and some of it was hers.
Mouse decided to take what time she had to take a warm bath, the closest thing she would get to being in the warm Tehlani waters at the moment. She was about to get up when a vid window popped up in front of her, Dot's face along with it. "Mouse, we need you in the war room ASAP."
Mouse nodded and closed the window. Well, she'd gotten a moments peace anyway, a momentary vacation away from this place she had started to call home at times. It was good to actually call a system that again.
