Chapter 1
It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, the birds were singing, there was hardly a cloud in the sky. It was a cheerful and pleasant day. Legolas Greenleaf sat against the trunk of a tree on the forest floor, thinking. One thought in his head kept repeating itself over and over. A sorrowful thought from his past. A tear ran down his cheek as he thought about this memory. He sat thinking, and trying to forget about the horrid memory, but no matter how hard he tried to get rid of it, it wouldn't go away. The memory had stayed in his mind now, ever since the invasion of Orcs at Emen Muil. He had fallen in love once with a commoner back in his homeland in Mirkwood, so many years before he even knew about the one Ring. A love so great, but so secret, kept, but broken. There was something that this girl elf was going to tell Legolas, but, she never could. The thought went over once more in his mind. "I will tell you tomorrow, what secret I've kept from everyone." She told Legolas, and walked off away towards her cottage where her parents were waiting, not knowing what would happent the following day. That following day, an invasion of Orcs came to Mirkwood, killing the girl's parents, but taking her captive. Since that day, Legolas never saw her again. Legolas went back to thinking about the question growing in his mind, What was the secret she kept from me? It was something other than her beauty, or kindness, or even her attitude. Something greater. Where did the Orcs take her away to? He thought. He didn't know where they took her, or why, but he knew she was still alive. Somehow, he just knew it.
Author's Note: What will happen when the thought of his love grows even bigger? Will we EVER get to know his love's name? Find out in the NEXT chapter. First I need at least 3 reviews to continue the story(
