Authors' notes: I do not own the characters of Lilith Sternin (Crane), or Frasier Crane. (Although I wish I did!)
Those eyes:
An icy stare,
The deepest hazel,
With looks that tear,
Into your heat,
And into your soul,
I'll never get back,
The love she stole,
That hair:
As dark as night,
Pulled back,
In a bun so tight,
When taken out,
Cascading down,
Raven waves,
That make my heart pound,
That skin:
As white as snow,
Mistaken for cold,
When harsh winds blow,
But tender and warm,
Smooth and soft,
Cradled, safe from harm,
Those lips:
Deepest red,
I'll never forget,
The things she said,
Some of them harsh,
The sharpest wit,
Most intelligent,
And compassionate,
She was my love:
My son's mother,
My best friend,
An' now I discover,
Without her for years,
Fine on my own,
Deluding myself,
I feel so alone,
Now when I see her:
I murmur "What if?"
I hadn't lost,
My love,
My life,
My darling,
Lilith.
