Chapter 20

Sesshomaru awoke with the sun's rays painting colors of orange and red into his room. He watched Kagome moan and stretch, but not wake up, in his arms that were tightly circled around her midsection. Lord Sesshomaru let a rare smile touch his lips. Never would he have thought he would love another. Let alone a human. Though Kagome was technically not a human nor a species one could name. She was unique, she was his.

The proud Lord lay next to his intended and watched her sleep for sometime. When she started to rouse he leaned in and kissed her softly on the neck where he would soon mark her as his. "Good morning koi," Sesshomaru said while he kissed and licked her neck and shoulder. Kagome moaned beneath him and leaned her head back to present her neck to him fully. Sesshomaru growled, "mine." He craved the sweet smelling nectar that was her blood. Craved to sink his fangs into her flesh to feel her pulse. He needed to mark her as his. Now.

Just as Sesshomaru was about to lavish his intended he stiffened at the sound of a disturbance near his wing. Sesshomaru growled out loud and swiftly stood. "What is it?" Kagome asked. "Masaki is at the entrance to our wing. She is demanding to see me." Sesshomaru answered angrily. Kagome quickly got up and wrapped her body in a robe.

A small whimper and the sound of Rin running towards their room followed by the neko had him growling again. "The wench has also woken our daughter." Sesshomaru said as he opened the door to meet Rin. Sesshomaru picked up his child and handed her off to her mother. "It's alright honey, there's just a misunderstanding. Papa will handle it, why don't you get ready with me this morning?" Kagome soothed as she took Rin to the spring. Turning around she mouthed good luck to her love.

Sesshomaru dressed quickly in his daily attire and left his chambers to deal with the irritation. "What is the meaning of this?" Sesshomaru demanded when he arrived at the scene. His guards dropped to a knee and explained the situation. "My Lord please forgive us. We tried to get the princess to leave quietly but she was very persistent." One of the guards explained while he shook in his boots. Sesshomaru was about to instruct them to remove the woman when she pushed aside the guard holding her back and bowed so her cleavage was very evident. "My lord Good morning, I came to speak with you-." Masaki cooed as she batted her eyelashes at him.

Sesshomaru interrupted her with a fierce snarl that demanded silence grabbing her around the throat "Know your place, wench. You will stop such foolishness!" Sesshomaru growled and threw her to the ground.

Turning to a guard at his feet he spoke, "Find Jaken. See that he deals with the eastern princess and does not let her out of his sight," Sesshomaru ordered, then turned away. His mood now soured from the foolishness.

Returning to his room he found that Kagome and Rin were no longer in his chambers or the springs. He pushed his aura out in search and found them deep in the gardens outside. When his aura met hers they laced together in a passionate dance. He followed the powerful auras and found Rin picking flowers and piling them in the lap of her mother who sat beneath a sakura tree.

The Lord of the west scooped up Kagome and folded himself on the lush grass below the tree and deposited her in his lap. Kagome kissed his cheek and nuzzled into his neck as a greeting, making his chest rumble contentedly. He watched as his intended braided the flowers his daughter brought to her into a long chain.

The small family stayed this way until the sun rose to its highest point in the sky. A squawk and the small rustle of feet waddling informed Sesshomaru his vassal was approaching.

"Mi'Lord! MiLord!" screeched Jaken. Sesshomaru sent a warning glare once the toad was in sight that had his beak snapping shut right away. Jaken fell to his face and bowed at Sesshomaru's feet and waited to be addressed. "What is it Jaken?" Sesshomaru asked boredly. Jaken swiftly stood at attention and almost tipped himself over trying to fight his staff. Sesshomaru had to fight the urge to roll his eyes.

"Mi'Lord Princess Masaki demands to speak with you! She threatens the friendship between Mi'Lord and her father to be stripped. What will you have me do?" Jaken asked all in one breath. Sesshomaru continued to pull his fingers through Kagome's hair. She turned to him after a moment. "Sess?" she asked. Bring her to this Sesshomaru's study in a moment," Sesshomaru commanded. Jaken bowed and scurried off. "Kagome take Rin for the evening meal. I will join you shortly," he said as they both stood. Kagome nodded and kissed his check then guided Rin inside.

Sesshomaru made his way to his study. When he arrived he took his time arranging himself at his desk then instructed a guard outside his door to inform Jaken he was ready.

The lord could smell the strong scent of arousal coming from the princess down the hall and had to suppress a sigh. A small knock on the door and Jaken poking his head through announced their arrival. "Ah Milord...the prin-" Jaken stammered before Sesshomaru interrupted him. "Send her in!" he commanded.

The small princess of the east entered his study smelling strongly of arousal and some kind of perfume. It vexed his sense of smell and Sesshomaru contemplated throwing her out on this offense alone.

"My Lord, I've been waiting all morning to see you." Cooed the princess as she dipped into a low bow. As she stood she was careful to let her shoulder fall forward to open her kimono and reveal her breasts.

Sesshomaru gave no reaction to the girls attempts at seducing him. Masaki sauntered toward him, allowing her sleeves to continue to fall down her arm. The front was opened considerably.

"My lord, you look stressed. Let me massage your-"

Her sentence was choked off by the clawed hand at her throat and being slammed into the wall. "Wench you will never touch my person!" The angry lord spat. "But MY lord, I only wish to give you pleasure then we can mate and I will become lady of this land and rule beside you forever." Masaski purred with eyes shining coyly. Her fingertips reaching to caress his face. His claws dug into her neck drawing blood into the open air while slamming her harder into the wall with a thud. "You think you are worthy to be this one's mate? Pathetic. You are weak. You are a whore and I will never have you. You are nothing compared to my intended. The wonton womens eyes narrowed all the fake innocence and flirting gone. "If you think you can have that human bitch then I will see to it that she is disposed of." Threatened the princess.

Sesshomaru's eyes turned scarlet red as he threw the demoness across the room and into a table smashing it to peices. His Futari no ken was drawn and pressed to the throat of the idiotic woman. "Bitch, you dare threaten what belongs to me in my presence!" Screamed an angry partially transformed Sesshomaru. "N-No I just meant I wish to fight for you! My father and the other lords would never except you mating a human!" Cried the woman who tried to reason with the angry demon. "If you kill me my father will declare war on you!" She threatened.

*With Kagome

Kagome giggled as she watched Rin play with a piece of food making it jump around. "Be careful my darling, we don't want to make a mess." The young mother said sweetly. Rin put the food in her mouth, "sorry momma." She laughed around the mouthful. Kagome suddenly felt an angry aura coming from the direction of her intended's study. "Oh no, Rin sweetie I'll be back keep eating when you finish ask Jaken to take you outside to play, okay?" "Yes mama!" The little girl yelled. Kagome got up from her seat and followed the angry aura. The servants in the halls were frozen in fear as they stared and the study. Kagome ran to the door and threw it open. Inside she saw a half transformed Sesshomaru with a sword to the throat of the eastern princess. "Please let me go!" Cried the shaking woman. "Sessho?" Kagome said as Sesshomaru's head snapped in her direction. "Is everything alright?" The young woman asked? A ghost of a wind around Sesshomaru started to die down and his eyes became only rimmed with red. He turned his attention back to the demoness who had blood trailing down into her kimono. "LEAVE! You will be gone from my shirt by the end of the day. You are banished from my lands! Guards!" Sesshomaru bellowed. Two demons appeared instantly. "Escort this trash from my home and lands, see to it she is gone by day's end." "Yes mi'lord, right away!" They exclaimed then dragged the sobbing woman out of the room.

The angry lord stood facing away from Kagome with his sword still drawn and hair still slightly lifting. "Sess?" Kagome timidly asked while walking slowly to her love. The angry dai sheathed his sword but did nothing else. "Koi?" Kagome said in question as she round him and looked in his eyes. They were closed but opened when she was in sight. They stayed rimmed titian as if they were fighting to be red or gold.

"What happened?" Kagome thought aloud, not expecting an answer.

"That kami forsaken woman threatened your life, claiming you would never be my mate." Sesshomaru spoke tightly after a moment. Kagome's eyes met his still enraged ones and spoke softly while pressing her palm to his cheek. "Then let us prove her wrong." Kagome said coyly. Sesshomaru's eyes bleed a deep Maroon color as he scooped up Kagome and flew at top speed to his quarters all while Kagome giggled the entire way.

I'm sorry I stopped writing, I along with so many others got consumed with depression and anxiety. But I'm feeling like I can do it again! So I'm back!
