Stay
a single candle glow in the center of her room, enveloping the dark room in shadows. she watched the flame danced and form patterns against the walls. sometimes the shadows will dance a rhythm long forgotten by time, sometimes they just stood still until the wind will coax them to dance again.
she stood there amongst the shadows, her eyes never leaving the candle. her cinnamon eyes remained focused and unblinking as she continue to watch the shadows dancing around in her room. a sudden gust of wind opened her windows blowing the flame from the candle out.
she blinked as she realized that the room is covered in darkness once more. and as if waking from a beautiful dream, she found herself in a nightmare once again. tears fell like waterfall from her cinnamon eyes. eyes that used to hold joy and laughter in their depths now hold only pain and sadness.
her shoulders shook with sobs as she lay on her bed. she lifted her tear stained eyes as she heard the song coming from the radio of her neighbor that drift from her open windows.

her cinnamon eyes filled with tears yet again. the song is forcing her to remember all together the memory she is trying to forget.
