"Did you hear? Fleur Delacour is coming to our school."
"That's impossible, she graduated last year-"
"C'est non! She is my cousin."
"Really? You look nothing alike."
"Why thank you."
Parvati Pavti was known as the school gossip, but how could this possibly be true? Hermione tried to think of all the possibilities, but nothing seemed to work. It was hell for Hermione to loose Ron like that whenever that French tart was near, and now it was going to happen again? No Way! Hermione just continued to think it was a senseless rumour and moved on.
By now, mid September, the whole school had heard of Fleur's coming and there was countless happy boys and frustrated girls.
"I will not loose my boyfriend over that unnatural veela thing!"
"How can that stupid blonde come back? She must have failed."
"I heard she has a twin sister..."
Ron and Harry entered the Great Hall to find a countless rumors and glares crossing the room. All four tables were packed tight and the night sky seemed to reflect the students' thoughts-hostile and superior. The night was full of gossip and wandering eyes as the normal dinner was held.
The teachers' table was also full of questions. Professor Snape and Professor Manko (The new DADA teacher) were constantly snickering and pointing to Professor Dumbledore. Professor McGonagall was talking to Dumbledore in a low voice as she looked around the room.
Suddenly, Professer Dumbledore stood up. "I have an announcement to make. It seems there has been constant gossip about our new Transfer student, Miss Delacour. Miss Delacour has not graduated Dumstrang. She is currently in her 5th year. Her parents have decided to move to Britain, and they have decided that Miss Delacour would be better-suited going to Hogwarts. I will say no more as to privacy for her. Pleases do not pester her when she arrives, because if she finds it necessary she will answer your questions. Miss Delacour will be arriving on October 31rst. Thank you."
Professor Dumbledore then sat down. The whole room was silent for what seemed decades.
