Giles the Next Generation
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: I don't own em. Joss does.
I'm not planning a sequel, but I just might if you guys ask.
Here goes!

I called him Giles the next generation. No one seemed to notice that. Not even him. They also never realized that that was why I liked him so much. I don't even think they realized I liked them.
Sure, Wesley was good looking and all, but I don't think its fair that I was dating him simply because he reminded me of someone else. Even if I knew I would never have a chance with that other guy.
I know that many of you are probably going "EWWW!" or "Why Giles?" Truth is, I don't even know why. He's not young. In fact he could be my father. And he's definitely not rich! I mean he's a high school librarian! But he's nice and funny. And really really sweet!
"Cordelia, are you okay?" Wesley asked me, breaking my train of thought.
"I'm fine. I was just thinking," I told him.
"About what?"
"Oh, nothing. Do you wanna dance?" I asked him.
"Okay, are you sure you're feeling okay?" Wesley asked.
"Yeah! Lets dance!" I said cheerfully.
He was a great dancer. I watched a cross the gym as Giles sat by himself. He looked so happy. Why wouldn't he be. He had finally given us our perfect High School evening.
That's another thing. He's a totally giving person. Why am I doing this to myself? There's no chance in hell of us ever getting together. Wesley is as close to him as I'll ever be. I need to live with that, but what if I can't?
The end.
