Haudt Hill
During the reign of King Arthur, a history-changing battle took place between the British and the Saxon Barbarians. This is the tale of the Haudt Battle and what took place upon it's back.
The sun rose to parted clouds, as the Arthurian troops marched up Haudt Hill. The rays of sunlight chased away all darkness as a wolf chases it's prey. It was a cold dawn, that autumn month, and heat was rising from man and beast alike as they made their way towards the top of that ancient hill. The hearts of thousands of men were beating in unison in excitement and anticipation of the coming battle. As the troops crested the archaic hill, they halted and waited for the orders to charge upon the enemy. The knights occupied themselves by trying to control their horses that nervously shivered and tried to move out of rank.
At the head of the company, King Arthur sat on his glistening white stallion, holding his enchanted sword, Excalibur. The Saxon's crested the opposite side of Haudh Hill as King Arthur sent out a messenger of peace to offer one last chance for reconciliation between the two armies. The messenger walked along the dewy grass, unaware of his impending doom. As the messenger bowed to the Saxon king, the barbarian unshielded his sword and decapitated the messenger of peace. Once the head lay beside the body, the Saxon king summand a servant to retrieve the head and place it upon his son's spear. King Arthur was not surprised by this repulsive act and told his men, "Now is the time to be prepared. We cannot let these vicious men take over our magnificent country." As Arthur spoke these words, the glittering sliver light of the morning showed itself upon the Arthurian Army, while deathly dark clouds found their place above the Saxon Army.
King Arthur urged his steed forward a few paces until he sat beside a beautiful tree, splendid in it's autumn colors. Arthur thought to himself, 'Soon this tree shall be bloodstained, thanks to war. I hope this is the last battle Britain must face before we have peace.' After a further glance at the breathtaking tree, King Arthur turned back to his men and called out, "ASSAULT!" Arthur's men dashed forward, under the flag of the Pendragon, to fight for their beloved home. Thus began the final major battle between the British and the Saxons.
I hope u enjoyed my short tale of the Haudh Battle. Although this story seems fairly serious, haudh actually means hill in another language. So really the kills name is "Hill Hill". Anyways, I thought you, as the reader, might find that amusing. Thank you for reading my story and please review for this is my first fanfiction.
