"And now you may kiss the bride."
He leaned over and lifted her veil, kissing her gently yet with some passion in it. A tumultuous up roar of applause and cheers filled the air as they separated. He looked at her and she grinned. Miyako Inuoue, now Miyako Ichijouji, threaded her arm around her new husband's arm. They walked down the aisle, eyes only on each other…
Miyako looked at her slumbering husband with a smile, wrapping the sheet around herself. Gently she pushed back a lock of sweat-drenched hair off his face as she sighed in content.
Slipping out of the bed, she walked to the balcony, leaning on the railing as she felt a cool breeze on her face. She laughed softly, recalling the events of the last few months…
Flashback
"Well, I need to get some papers, Ken, I'm sorry," Miyako said as she opened the door to her office, walking in on a very intimate looking Takeru and Hikari, who were making out. They separated and blushed, looking embarrassed.
"I- uh, can explain," Takeru stammered, his face an interesting shade of red.
"Now, didn't I set rules about romance in the office, Takeru?" Miyako said, her face so serious Ken stifled a laugh. "You both are doing that all wrong. Ken, help me show these two how to *really* kiss."
"Gladly," Ken grinned and kissed her passionately, his arms around her waist as hers entwined around his neck.
As they separated, Miyako winked at Takeru. "You see; that is how you kiss."
The blonde man laughed nervously, then looked at Ken. "Perhaps introductions are in order?"
"I know you, you would be Takeru, Yamato's younger brother, right?" Ken asked.
"Of course," he started then a flicker of recognition appeared. "Then you would be Ken Ichijouji, my brother told me about you and what happened at the dojo."
"He's quite fine, he and Sora are staying in Japan for a while. I assume he told you?"
Takeru nodded. "He did."
Miyako looked at him sternly, then at Hikari. "You know, if your brother knew of this, he would make sure Takeru would never have kids biologically and have you sent to a church to become a nun."
"As if I care," the brunette girl said airily. "But he doesn't mind, really."
"Tai, letting you have a boyfriend? I must be dreaming or going deaf." Miyako raised a hand to her forehead as she sighed melodramatically.
"Let's not go into the melodramatic mode, love," Ken laughed. "You heard her right."
"Speaking of relationships, it looks like you already have a comfortable one now," Hikari said slyly in a shrewd tone.
Miyako sighed again in a melodramatic way. "I taught you way too much on how to turn others' words around."
"Enough of the melodrama," Ken scolded. "Or else…"
"Or else what?" she asked in a non-concerned manner.
"No more kisses," he threatened.
"Anything but that!" she cried, but she grinned. Seizing a file folder, she winked at Takeru and Hikari. "Well, get back to what I was doing, but next time, try not to make out too often in my office." She seized Ken's hand and they both stifled laughs as they fled the building.
"Will you marry me?" Ken's eyes looked into her earnestly as he offered her the open box with a sparkling diamond ring inside.
"Of course, you bloody idiot!" Miyako cried and hugged him tightly.
Miyako laughed as Ken carried her into the hotel room. Ken grinned at her. "Anything else, my new wife?"
"Just let me change," she whispered seductively into his hear, playing with his hair. "Into something a little more… comfortable."
He shivered involuntarily as he lightly kissed her neck. "Go on then."
She slipped away with a sly wink toward him. Later she reappeared in a slip of midnight blue silk, her hair loose and falling on her shoulders. "I believe you were expecting me?" she purred, looking at him slyly.
He looked up from stripping off his jacket and unbuttoning his shirt. "Yes, I believe so."
In a few strides, he walked toward her and took her in his arms. As they kissed, he gently steered her to the bed and tumbled her into it. She looked into his eyes as her kisses became more passionate. Then she broke apart and gently nibbled on his earlobe. Then her hand groped for his trousers as his slowly slid the material of the lingerie down…
End Flashback
Miyako sighed in content. As she saw a slim crescent moon, she was hit by a barrage of strange memories as images flashed by her eyes.
A broken sword, a child torn from its mother, a dead rose with its petals scattered, shattered pieces of glass everywhere…
She clenched the railing tightly, as she caught her breath, shaking her head as the images disappeared. What was wrong with her? Going back into the room, she slid the glass door shut and slid into bed beside Ken. He murmured in his sleep and unconsciously took her in his arms. In his warm embrace, Miyako was lulled to sleep by the sound of his breathing and the comfort around her.
Ken looked around in his own dream. He felt cold and rubbed his arms before noticing he was wearing rather odd clothing. Before he could get a better look, he was surrounded by ice-cold winds, numbing him and scratching him raw with the sharp, bitterly cold edges of air. What is happening? He then saw himself holding onto someone's hand and felt an impulse to hold on. But try as he might, the hand was wrenched from him and he heard a scream. Shards of glass bit into his skin, drawing blood and causing his nerves to explode in pain. He then opened his eyes quickly, finding himself in the hotel room and holding Miyako in his arms. Smiling, he lightly kissed her as he then puzzled out his dream.
What did those images and the wind mean? He had bits and pieces of this particular dream before oddly enough, right before he was about to marry Miyako. Shrugging, he sighed and Miyako woke up.
"Good morning, love," she said to him, lightly kissing him on the cheek, eyes slightly sleepy but loving.
"That was quite a night," he breathed, looking up at the ceiling, his hand covering his eyes.
"Naturally," Miyako yawned, stretching. Her cell phone rang and she reached for it. "Hello?" Then she cursed loudly. "Shit! I don't want your apologies, for your information, I am on my honeymoon and I will be back within five days. Shut up. Don't go calling me that. Fine, I'll be there in two days. You're lucky I'm not right there with my pistol right now, you bastard." She then turned it off, looking absolutely furious.
"Miya, what's wrong?" Ken asked, using his pet name for her.
"Taichi wants me on an assignment," she said, gritting her teeth. "He apologized but he's disrupting our honeymoon!"
"It's alright, we can have a second one if we can," Ken said reassuringly, putting his hand on her shoulder.
She sighed and leaned on his shoulder. "I shouldn't take it out on you. I'm a vindictive bitch, aren't I?"
"You may be one at times but I'm glad you're my vindictive bitch." He then pulled her into a passionate kiss.

Taichi gritted his teeth and turned to the shadowed figure. "Alright, I called her. What do you want next?"
The figure grinned, flashing white teeth. "Little by little. Revenge is indeed a dish best eaten cold."
A/N: Okay, so I made a sequel, first chapter down!
Taichi: *twitch* you had Miyako call me a bastard…
Miyako: You deserved it. *sticks out tongue*
Me: *sigh* Muses, honestly.
Ken: Uh… please review?
