Title: Leap

Disclaimer: I own nothing

Chris looked outside of the small port window of the tiny airplane and cringed. He looked across from his seat and ran right into one of Paul's cheesy grins. 'Jackass,' he thought. Then he frowned. Why the hell was he doing this? Again.

Why. Was. He. Doing. This?

It seemed simple enough really. Stupid Paul. Why did he always want to do this crazy adrenaline extreme crap. First it was bungee jumping off a bridge. Then it was drag racing. And now, for Chrissake he expected him to jump out of an airplane. His heart rate sped up as he suddenly realized that yes indeed that was the current state of affairs. His palms were feeling sweaty despite the fact that their instructor had opened the side door. He felt his face in a grimace as he sat there almost numb.

He looked up at Paul and sneered. The idiot was still smiling, that stupid smug smile, like he knew something you didn't. Asshole. 1,500 feet. Didn't sound like very much. Chris snorted, 'yeah on paper.'

"Well, this looks like it's it," Paul yelled over with a superior smirk.

Chris snorted under his breath, realizing how dumb Paul seemed to look in his jumpsuit and goggles. Bastard. He managed to smile back however, "Yeah...I can see the target now," he yelled back over.

"Okay guys," their instructor Claire yelled over the wind. "Start lining up and remember, don't hesitate or you'll blow our clearance."

Chris took a deep breath as he lined up behind Paul. It was now or never as cliche as that sounded.

Paul shot Chris a sideways glance as he drove their rental car down the freeway. He couldn't help the smirk, "Now don't tell me you didn't have fun Christopher?"

Chris looked up from the passenger side seat, "Fun? Fun," he repeated, "You call a near death experience, fun," he said incredulously.

Paul waggled his brows a bit, "Well, yeah," he responded. "Well you would," Chris said snorting. "What's next Paul? Deep sea diving in shark infested waters?"

"Well I was thinking, maybe we could..." Then he laughed hardily as he caught Chris' expression. "Hey, relax Chris, I was kidding, besides, I've never forced you into doing anything." He said it and even he didn't quite believe it.

"Yeah, well, you questioning my manhood, wasn't exactly my favorite activity of the day," Chris said pointedly.

"Alright fine," Paul conceded. "No more. Alright"

Chris looked at Paul's profile suspiciously as he narrowed his eyes to slits, "Sounds like a deal."
