The lights flickered own,the cage lifted from the stone ring.The wind blew into the night,cars sped into the parking lot.It was the night of the Fighting Tournament Omega where people from Final Fantasy 7,8,and 9 gathered to settle their many disputes.Only few contestants were selected,as many were not voted for during the SemiFinal's.People sat down in the outdoor stadium while they waited for the fighters to arrive.
After a long half an hour,they showed up.Cloud Strife,Tifa Lockheart,Vincent Valentine and Sephiroth all sat down in the west dugout.Squall Leonhart,Zell Dincht,Irvine Keannes,and Seifer Almasy sat down in the west dugout.Zidane Tribal,Steiner,Vivi,and Kuja sat in the south,the crowd cheered,Some had the faces of their favorite fighter's on their bare chests.
The announcer spoke:"Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the Fighting Tournament Omega!Tonight your favorite fighters from Final Fantasy 7,8,and 9 while fight to the death.First,Cloud versus Squall!!!!!"
The crowd cheered,whilst other's booed.Cloud and Squall stood up,and stepped into the stone circle.Cloud with the Buster Sword,Squall with the revolver.They looked into each other's eyes with hatred and challenge.The anouncer screamed "FIGHT!",and they were off.
Cloud swung his sword at Squall's head,missing by an inch.Squall slashed with his gunblade striking Cloud's mighty sword.,denting the side.Cloud ran to the side,then rose his sword into the air,he jumped up and swung his sword down at Squall,who blocked it with his gunblade.The sound of the sword's echoed into the sky,The battle got intense,the two fighters swung their swords with such intensity that sparks flew.Squall jumped back,and Cloud took the free shot to summon Knights of the Round.The ground shook and disappeared under Squall's feet,he flew into the air as a blue spiral cloud surrounded him,the first knight appeared and struck Squall with such force he was knocked unconcious,it continued 12 more times,ending with the ghost of King Arthur slamming Squall into the ground with his axe.Zell gasped,Squall was bloody and battered,he barely stood up,and casted Aura upon himself.He then dashed forward and struck Cloud with eight deafening blows so strong it could of broken the ground in two.Cloud fell on his knees.He took a minute to even look up and see the beam coming from Squall's gunblade.
He screamed "Blasting Zone",then brought the beam back down,knocking Cloud with such force he broke the wall behind the dugout.Many people gasped,then Cloud stood up.He looked at his hand,then at Squall,and said Ultima.Only loud enough for Squall and his team to hear.Then he threw his arm out infront of him,and focused all of his MP into this single strike,then unleashed the big green beam of energy,making Squall scream bloody murder.When the beam dissappeared,Squall was on the floor unconcious.Or so it seemed,he quickly stood up and summoned Diablos,who threw the big ball of dark energy engulfing Cloud.Squall smirked,he knew he had win the minute the ball as gone and Cloud was nowhere to be found.
Then it hit him,Cloud jumped down from the stands behind Squall and emitted an Omnislash ending in Squall knocked back on the stone ring.Blood was stained all over his clothes and face,many gasped,some cheered.All knew Cloud had won,the battle was over.
