My name is Kageshia Anotsu. The leader of the Itto-Ryu, a renegade sword school that attracts hundreds of men who either willingly or forcefully joined. Our intent is to spread the idea that the old ways of swordsmanship are over. The way those people who strap swords to thier sides and play around in a straw room waving a bokken around is an outdated idea. How can one win a battle gracefully. Battles are won by sweat, blood and fierve fighting. "Whatever works" as I once told one of my opponents who was upset at me coming to his sword school with the intent of merging it with my own. That is our philosiphy.....that is our way of life.
Then there's that girl and that immortal man...who have the intent of taking my head? For what? For avenging my grandfather so that his soul may rest in peace? I killed her parents, her mother raped butchered. Was that fair? Well tell me, was it fair when my grandfather was thrown out of his sword school just because he saved his masters life with a blade from a forgien land? Her mother...don't think I don't regret what happened to her...but if I didn't let my men do what they willed...i would have lost them. I have a dream, a cause that people won't suffer just because they have thier own way of fighting. It's a stupid thing we Japanese call "custom". They think just because gajin aren't like us that there weapons and fighting styles should be forsaken? Excuse me, but aren't muskets a gajin weapon? Didn't group tactics which we used in battle derive from the Mongols? The people in power are hypocrytes and I will liberate our land from them. From Edo all the way to Okinawa they will fall. Am I madman? No I am only human. I only wish for people to recognize themselves in learning how to fight and win, not to bathe in "tradition" and glory. Because living for personal glory is like using too many tea leaves in water when making cha. It may make things more beautiful but is the most bitter thing to swallow when you taste it's truth. Asano Rin, forgive me for being a man of looking only for the better of our nation.

I'm a big Anotsu fan. (He's my third favorite next to Manji and Magatsu) I beleive Anotsu isn't evil because he's in the same situation Rin was in: vengence for a loved one. Even though Anotsu's grandfather was a total ass Anotsu all though what he did was wrong, was motivated by the same thing Rin was. Thanks for reading.
