Author: Today in World Lit. we had to write a sonnet. A sonnet is where there are 14 lines. Lines 1 and 3, 2 and 4, 5 and 7, 4 and 8, 9 and 11, 10 and 12, 13 and 14 rhyme. Also, lines 13 and 14 twist the poem around quite a bit, sort of like a surprise ending. This is what I wrote.
Arramon: I think the teacher didn't understand it.
Author: her loss. I think it was cool.
Yami: I thought it was adequate.
Author: Just so ya know, it's from Soujirou's point of view.

The Tenken
It has been many years since I began,
with many years more to go,
I have traveled along with Shishio-san,
killing because he told me so.
A member of the Ju Pon Gatana I became,
and yet in all my grace,
I still remained just the same,
and showed no emotion on my face.
My missions became a high amount,
and I felt no anger, sorrow, or love,
the number I killed I cannot count,
I should have received punishment from above.
That is all behind me now, as anyone can see,
I have vowed not to kill, and became a rurouni.
