Memories and Rain

It was raining. That was the first thing Harry Potter realised as he awoke.

Careful not wake his companion, Harry gently untangled himself from the sleeping body beside him. He watched as the chest of his lover rose with each intake of breath, before falling, to once again rise. It was in these waking moments that Harry knew he was truly blessed. Glancing appreciatively over the contours of his lover's body, Harry stood silently, and padded over to the window.

Not bothering to open the heavy curtains, Harry pressed his head through the small break, to let it rest on the cold, glass pane. One by one, Harry watched the raindrops splatter against the glass, before rolling down to pool in the slight dip at the bottom of the window.

As the clouds above him continued massing, Harry let his mind wander. Images of love and hate intertwined, as years of fighting came sharply to focus. Betrayal and anger mixed strangely with love, as Harry let himself remember.

Harry watched as he relived the betrayal of Ron. He watched as he saw the death of Hermione. Sirius being tortured. Dumbldore's last fight. He watched as he saw himself being surrounded by Death Eaters. As Voldemort threw curse after curse at him. As he fought back, determination over-coming pain and exhaustion. He watched he saw Voldemort fall. Gone. And he saw himself finally collapse. Desire for life gone. Pain and grief consuming.

With a sharp cry, Harry pulled his head from the window and watched as the cool air dispelled the mist of condensation that had formed. His mind still reeling from what he remembered, Harry didn't hear the curtains being drawn. Nor, did he feel presence of a body behind him, until gentle arms encircled his waist, and cool lips lay kiss after kiss on the sensitive flesh behind his ear.

Mouth moving against his ear, Harry heard the simple whispered words.

"Are you alright?"

Without responding, Harry lay his head back on the shoulder behind him, and closed his eyes, revelling in the comfort he found in that warm embrace.

Slowly, without opening his eyes, Harry turned his head, seeking the lips he knew so well. Finally, he found his object of desire, and moved his lips slowly, hoping to convey the gratitude he felt.
Understanding what Harry was trying to say, Seamus Finnigan gently moved his lips against Harry's. Not probing for more, content to enjoy the feel of Harry's mouth against his.

As the kiss ended, Harry turned fully to face his lover. Green eyes glistening with freshly shed tears; Harry open his mouth to respond to Seamus' earlier question, however was cut off as Seamus pressed his finger against his lips.

"You know I love you. I always have. You are my everything. I hate knowing what you've been through. I hate the fact that I couldn't be there for you then. But, know now, that no matter what, no matter what day it is, no matter where you are, I will always be here. To hold you. To adore you. To love you. You complete me. Without you, I am nothing. You are my life."

Seamus brought his head forward to rest against Harry's forehead. Warm breaths mingling together, Harry lifted his head and firmly moved his lips against Seamus', pouring his very heart and soul into that one kiss.

As the heavy clouds continued to gather, the memories of that morning became scarce, as one love consumed the other, completing each, becoming truly one.
