****Note: I don't own Digimon or any of its characters. The only thing I
own is the poem's words and ideas. This poem is about why Rika/Ruki was
the way she was at the beginning of the season. I hope you like it and
please review cause otherwise I won't know what you think of it.
Thanks.****
The Digimon Queen ----------------------------
There once was a beautiful little girl,
Who was the happiest little girl in the world.
The apple of her family's eye,
The girl was the highlight of her parent's lives.
But then the girl's Daddy went away,
Said his Good-bye, he wouldn't stay.
The girl's Daddy didn't come home,
And as she grew up it caused her heart to turn cold.
She couldn't understand why her Daddy was gone,
Why did he leave her all alone?
So the girl decided to win him back,
She was willing to do anything to bring him back.
Again and again she did her best,
Struggled to prove she was better then all the rest.
But still her Daddy didn't come,
It didn't matter that she was number one.
Rather then accept he didn't care,
The girl blamed her distant mother with icy stares.
The girl refused to listen, to ever be like her,
The girl's cold heart was now encased in stone.
Then came a chance to show Daddy and the world,
That she was the best happened to occur.
A World Digimon Tournament was her chance,
A chance to face and change her past.
So the girl practiced hard to be the best,
Battled day and night with little rest.
She faced her opponents with no mercy or regard,
She was going to be the Queen of the Digimon Cards.
She entered the tournament and played the game,
All of her tournament matches ended the same.
And in the end she was in the final match,
Against Ryo Akiyama, The King, the best.
The match went on and to the girl's surprise,
The boy present a challenge she couldn't deny.
Finally an opponent worthy of her time,
They battled and fought unaware of the time.
Then the boy laid down a card she couldn't beat,
And the girl sat down as she acknowledged her defeat.
As always when it counted she hadn't won,
She'd lost the game to a boy in it just for fun.
