Seishirou was at his door not fifteen minutes after Subaru had finished the spell.

"May I ask," he said coolly, his eyes glinting with something that wasn't exactly anger, "what you just cast on me, Subaru-kun?"

The younger onmyouji swallowed hard--Seishirou's tone was so neutral it was frightening--and took a deep breath before speaking.

"It's... a curse, Seishirou-san. I marked you--your spirit--so that the next time we meet... the life after this one, I mean... you'll..." He had to avert his eyes, feeling blood rush to his cheeks. "You'll love me. So much it hurts. And I'll be free to accept you or destroy you as I please."

There was a moment of silence.

"Quite a curse, Subaru-kun."

Subaru couldn't really find anything to say to that.

"...although. The next life?"

"The next time we meet," he repeated.

The smile sparked wicked in Seishirou's mismatched eyes before he leaned in close, close enough to feel the heat from Subaru's startled blush.

"I think next time you cast something as strong as that, you should be much more specific with your phrasing, Subaru-kun."
