Rain
Gray... gloomy... I stare out the window of my office, just staring. Rain. It reminds me of when I was young. It was raining that day, just like it was now. I notice my reflection in the glass. A lavender haired man stares back at me. It's been so long. In fact, it seems just like yesterday...
"Gohan!! Please!!! I want to help!!" I pleaded with my sensei. Although I wasn't SSJ yet, I still wanted to help stop the androids.
"Heh... alright... but don't get yourself killed!! I don't want to have to break the news to your mother." Gohan chuckled, as he was already SSJ.
"Yes!!" I hissed to myself as I powered up. Suddenly, I felt a stinging sensation on my neck. I fell to the ground, my world slowly going black. I don't know how long I was out, but when I woke up, I was lying in the dirt. Satin City, the city in which I was going to protect, lay in smothering ruins. "No..." I whispered. "NO!!!" I heard my echo. This was bad, really bad. I flew towards the now smothering city.
When I got there, the sky was gray and gloomy. Rain poured across the rubbles as the smothering ground blinked red. "GOHAN!!" I called out, looking around for him. No answer. That's when I saw it. It was a body, well built with the left arm missing. I landed not far from the body, slowly walking towards it. Then, I realized who it was. With tears streaming down my face, I kneeled down to the body with the orange and blue gi. "G... Gohan??" the face was half in a puddle of water as I turned the body to its side. Seeing the blank, lifeless face, I lost it. "GOHAN!!!" I screamed, grabbing my head in confusion. Not being able to take the pain and sorrow of loosing my best friend and sensei, I balled my hands into fists and tightened them till my nails were pressed into the palms of my hands and drawing blood.
Then it happened.
Something inside of me clicked. My hair turned gold and stood up with the extreme power. My eyes turned teal and a golden ki field surrounded me. I finally went SSJ, but I didn't care. Now everyone who I loved, with the exception of my mother, was gone!! I hit the ground with my fists; hard. I couldn't contain myself. I'm only 12 and now I'm the only person who can save the world from the androids!! Why, kami. Why did this have to happen!?!
A memory. It was all just a memory. But one that sent chills down my spine. I came to the future to make sure the Son Goku didn't die. I came back again to help defeat Cell. And know I'm back again. I have a beautiful wife and two darling daughters. I train some still, and I go fight in the World Tournament, but I am also CEO of Capsule Corps. There are times where my past comes to haunt me as it did today, but I can't keep running from them. Maybe, someday, I'll return to my time. A time where hell and earth were one in the same.
