Video Idiot-ing
"Whatcha doin'?"
Misty peered boldly over Ash's shoulder, the semi-visible Game Boy screen reflecting sunlight directly into her eyes. She shifted to the other side and smiled, awaiting his reply.
"Unh."
"Hmm? I didn't quite catch that."
"Game Boy.Pokemon." Was his simple, fragmented reply. "And would you mind moving? You're in my light." He continued, attempting to find a new location.
Misty cautiously scooted herself, attempting to peer over his shoulder again.
"Why does the game stick out of the top like that that?" Misty questioned, pointing at the large silver game pack a good half-inch higher than the screen.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!" Ash roared, foaming at the mouth. "I really, really hate that Lugia! Stay in the Pokeball you stupid thing.errrrg!"
By now Ash was flipping off the screen and swearing profusely.
Misty thought it unhealthy to repeat the question at this time.
Later in the day - after misty had finally crammed a few chill pills down Ash's throat (hindered buy the endless phrases coming up) - Misty was now getting very annoyed with the constant game boy playing.
"'Ya know," Misty said with a fragment of sarcasm "If you keep playing that your goanna turn into a game boy"
"I already have" said Ash surprisingly seriously.
"What d-you mean?"
Ash slipped a piece of paper behind his back. Misty read Congratulations you have become an official Gameboy. Underneath were Ash's name and an "official" signature.
"You have got to be kidding me" said Misty skeptically.
"Nope" said Ash proudly "I really want to become a Gamboy Advance though."
Sometime after the "gameboy" joke, the chill pills were finally taking effect. Ash was now yelling only once every two minuets and in-between Misty could watch a bit.
"Hey what's the big idea beating up my Starmie like that. I ought to."
It was now Misty's turn for a chill pill, as she was the one attempting to increase her vocabulary. Ash attempted to fend her off but it was very difficult to do so one handed, and he could not turn off that gameboy of course. But after Ash won the cascade badge Misty cooled off.
Ash had already gone through one pair of batteries by now and Misty had been hard at it, putting up the tent and a light in the top for the "Gameboy". Misty was ready for bed and Ash followed, snail paced, behind.
"It's very difficult, to beat Blue and put on your pajamas at the same time" Ash said after he was ready for bed.
"I hope you don't expect to sleep while playing that, do you?" said Misty nearly serious.
"Of course not." was Ash's reply as he trekked the path to MT. Silver. "I just want to beat the game before I go to bed."
"You will not. I want to sleep tonight, I'm turning off the light in five minutes."
"Ok" said Ash without thinking
The five minuets were nearly up and Ash was almost to mount silver, oblivious to every thing else.
"The lights go of in five.. four.. three. two. one." click.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Now I need a pokemon with flash!"
"Whatcha doin'?"
