Chapter One: A New School¦.

Sarah Brume stepped off of her front porch. The brisk, England Morning air took her breath away as she inhaled it in. Her royal blue cloak billowed in the gust of wind that pushed against her, also making her curly brown hair fly out behind her.

"Sarah, honey, we'll be late. This is your first year at a new school, and you won't want to miss your train!" Her mother called out to her.

Her lungs turned to ice. "Yes, mama! I'm coming!" She fingered the crystal that hung around her neck on its silver chain in habit, and hurried

over to the Silver Expedition.

Yes, true, it was her first year at a new school, except this wasn't just any old school, well it was old but anyway. The truth was, that Sarah was a witch, and she had just moved to England from the USA from a small school named Pignut's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

She was sorry to move, but the awesome thing was that she would now be going to school with a famous young wizard: Harry Potter.

Sarah stepped up to the platform. According to her instruction sheet that had been magically attached to her admission letter, it said she was supposed to run through a. pillar? Ok, now this was getting weird. First, a brick wall to Diagon Alley, now a brick pillar to Platform 9 3/4 too weird..

She squeezed her cart tight as her mother and father kissed her goodbye for the last time in a while.

"Well, mama, papa, I shall see you later." She hugged her parents one last time, and charged through the pillar.

"Whoa" She muttered under her breath. All around her, kids rushed around pushing and shoving to get onto the train. An older wizard dressed in a conductors uniform pushed her cart away, as she waved goodbye to her Snow Owl, Faith.

As she pushed through the crowd, someone suddenly shoved her to the ground; she didn't see his/her face, until she sat up, holding her head. "Oh"

A boy with dark tousled hair and glasses, which green eyes, were hidden behind looked down at her, he held out a hand. "Sorry! I wasn't watching where I was going are you alright?"

I let him pull me up. "Yeah..." I looked behind him at the other two

teenagers he had been walking with. One had pale skin with fiery red hair, and the other had frizzy brown hair and two rather large front teeth.

"Are you new here? I haven't seen you before." The Frizz said.

I nodded. Smiling at her accent. "Yeah this is my first year, though I am not a first year. I'm probably in the same year you all are in. But this is my first year at Hogwarts. My family and I moved here from the United States." I explained.

"That's why we haven't seen you." The girl said, smiling. "Well. My name's Hermione, and this is Ron," She motioned to the red haired boy, who smiled and waved, "and this is Harry." She mentioned to the boy who helped me up. I tried to act cool and not surprised.

"Well, I'm Sarah."

"Cool." Harry nodded. "So would you like to sit with us on the train. We'll probably have an extra seat."

I shrugged. "Yeah. That'd be nice."
