Ok, all Harry potter stuff belongs to J.K. Rowling. Don't sue, I have no

Remus strolled along the ice covered path, humming to himself, breath steaming around his face. He was staying over the Christmas break, wanting to avoid letting his parents find a reason not to let him come back. He liked it here. Remus smiled to himself. He had friends here. He tapped the willow, and entered the hidden tunnel. It was very dark. "Lumos!" he muttered under his breath. He entered the room with glowing wand in hand. It was comfortable enough. He took off his clothes and waited.
Sirius woke just in time to see Remus slip off. Where was he going? It was 3 am! Sirius slipped out of bed and put on a shirt. He would find out. Sirius followed the snowy path straight too the whomping willow. It ended just within the reach of the branches. How did he get through? Then he saw the stick, set down in the snow, pointing at a specific knot. It's worth a try, he thought. He picked up the stick, and poked. The Willow froze. Amazing! Then he saw it. A tunnel. Was that where Remus went? He hurried down through the drifts.
Remus threw back his head and howled as the change gripped him. He did not hear the footsteps coming through the tunnel. But the wolf inside him did.
Sirius didn't have time to react as the huge wolf hit him square in the chest.

Remus awoke the next morning, the slight taste of blood in his mouth. Blood? He opened his eyes. Sirius lay sprawled in a puddle of blood. His breathing was so shallow it was almost non-existent. Remus howled and scrambled over to him. There was a bite mark on his shoulder, and a huge gash on his leg. Both were bleeding sluggishly. Remus grabbed his shirt from the corner, and wrapped up the wounds. There was no way he could carry Sirius out of here, and there was no way he could get someone to come back here. He had to wake Sirius up. He shook him gently, and in despair began to talk to himself. "Come on Sirius, you can't do this too me! Why did you follow me?" tears slid down his cheeks. "Come on! You have to wake up!"
Sirius saw the world through a haze of red. Could not feel, could not see, and could not move. The he heard the voice. The voice led him back. He groaned, and then lay still again. Remus continued to talk to the unconscious boy. " Sirius! You must wake up! You can't do this too me! I love you! You can't die!" He emphasized his words with a rough shake. "Wake up!" Sirius stirred. "Remus?" Remus would have wept for joy that his friend, his love, was awake. "Sirius, I'm here. We need to get you out of here. Come on, I'll help you stand." Sirius groaned, and with help from Remus, managed to stand up. It took them the better part of an hour to make it across the stretch of snow between them and the school. When they entered the front door, the two of them collapsed. "Come on Sirius, wake up! We are almost there; we have to get to the infirmary!" Sirius let out a low sound, and levered himself against a wall. Remus beamed, and put his arm under his friends. "Come on, we are almost there." Madam Pomfrey's shriek could have woken the dead. The two of them were a bloody mess. Madam Pomfrey levitated them to two beds, and went to work. They were both already unconscious. Sirius was the first too wake. He looked around blindly. "Where the hell am I?" He muttered, and then winced when he moved his leg. Oh. He was in the infirmary. Why was he in the infirmary? Then the events of the night before ran back into his mind. He lay still.
