Adam walked through the arena aimlessly. He just got back from talking to Emily, his girlfriend, well, ex-girlfriend. She admitted that she had been cheating on him for the past month with Jason. He couldn't believe it. He had always felt like she was the one he would spend the rest of his life. They had been together for the past two years, and he loved her with all of his heart. He arrived at his locker room where he looked in his bag at the little velvet box that contained the engagement ring that he was going to give her that night. He felt a surge of anger and stood up, throwing the box across the room before breaking down and crying on the locker room floor.
He wasn't sure how long he had been sitting on the floor crying, but he was soon told that there would be a meeting with all of the superstars to introduce a new wrestler into the WWE. He got up and wiped his eyes and walked into the meeting room, where he saw Jason, and quickly walked to the opposite side of the room without making eye contact with him.
Soon, Mr. McMahon walked to the front of the room and began his introduction of the new wrestler.
"As you all know, you've been called here to meet the newest member of the WWE family, and without further ado, I'd like to introduce Jenn."
Everyone clapped for her, except Adam, who had not looked up since the meeting started. Once he found out that it was a female wrestler, he couldn't wait to get out of there. After what Emily did to him, he wouldn't let himself trust another female. He tuned out everything that was said, until he heard Vince say "you may all leave now." He got up and headed towards the door, then heard Vince call him over. He turned around and slowly walked towards Vince and Jenn.
"Adam, as you know, this is Jenn, our newest wrestler, and I have decided to out her in a storyline with you" Vince said to him.
'Great, just my luck.' Adam thought glumly. "Yeah, whatever. What kind of storyline is it going to be?" He replied.
"Well, we're not quite sure yet, but until we figure it out, I would like the two of you to spend some time together and get to know each other better." Vince answered.
"That's fine with me. When aren't you busy?" Jenn asked Adam.
"I guess now is fine" Adam replied. The two left the room and made there way to his locker room. Adam really didn't want to get to know Jenn better, and he didn't want a storyline with her, but he couldn't argue with Vince, because he was his boss.
"I just remembered, I actually am busy at the moment. Can we talk later?" Adam asked, hoping to get out of spending any time with her. He just wanted to be alone.
"Umm, sure, I guess. Here's my cell number. Call me when you aren't busy." She replied, writing her number down on a small piece of paper and handing it to him. She turned around and walked away. Once she was out of sight, Adam threw the paper away and walked into his locker room.
