Lizzie Moves Away
Miranda and Gordo were walking down the street. They were talking about
school. Then suddenly Lizzie burst out of her house crying. She ran over to
Gordo and Miranda.
"What's wrong?" asked Miranda.
"WAHH!!!!" cried Lizzie. "I'm moving to Egypt!"
Gordo and Miranda knew how sad Lizzie was. She'd have to leave all her friends and she'd have to go to an odd country.
But Gordo had a crush on Lizzie, and he never told her. But he'd have to tell her before Lizzie moved away. Gordo felt his stomach do a triple flip, "B-but you can't go Lizzie", he said holding back tears, 'I-I won't have any other friends! Miranda looked at him, very hurt, then she frowned up at Lizzie, "You CAN'T go Lizzie! she shouted. Lizzie sat down on the side walk, and wiped the bloches of mascara that had covered her face as she cried.
"I will never have friends like you guys in Egypt", she wailed uncontrollably. *** It was moving day. Lizzie still had a while to talk to Miranda and Gordo. Lizzie, Miranda, and Gordo were sitting next to the tree they liked to sit at when they were little.
"We'll still be able to e-mail you," said Miranda.
"Actually, I don't know if they'll have internet access," said Gordo. "But we can always write to each other."
"But it'll take about a year to get one letter," said Lizzie.
There was a moment of silence. Gordo kept staring at Lizzie. Lizzie's mom walked out of the house.
"Lizzie, time to go!" shouted Lizzie's mom.
"I'll miss you guys," said Lizzie. She walked to her car and she stepped inside. Gordo and Miranda watch Lizzie's car just drive away. Gordo quivered, as he knew he had just blown his last chance. Tears came running out of his eyes. He looked up at the all he could see now was the little speck of Lizzie's car, as it disappeared over the top of the hill.
