My Doppelganger
Prolouge
A/N: This is NOT based off of Cardcaptor Sakura (although they mention the Doppelganger Theory in one episode). Also, there are supposed to be two dots over the 'a' in 'doppelganger' (I can't get it to work with .txt format, though).
In the eight years following the L3-X18999 Rebellion, there were few confrontations. There was the occasional scuffle over the laws or principles of the ESUN, but all new nations have their problems.
Trowa Barton (presumed to be 'Triton Bloom') stayed in the circus troupe he had hidden in during the war with his surrogate sister, Catherine Bloom.
Quatre Raberba Winner gave up his position as head of Winner Enterprises in AC 199 to his twenty-nine older sisters. It was too stressful. He decided to go through college, and graduated in AC 204.
Chang Wufei worked as a Preventer. There is nothing more to be said. [[A/N: Although 'Fei is my favorite character, the life he leads after Endless Waltz is very boring.]]
Duo Maxwell continued to work as a salvage dealer with Hilde Schibeiker [[A/N: Sorry, I can never spell her last name correctly]]. As you may have guessed, he retained his infamous (if not more-than-slightly annoying) habits. For vacations, he always visited whichever ex-pilot happened to be the busiest at the time.
Heero Yuy also went to college after seeing the large amount of jobs that (though he was technically qualified) would not hire him without a degree. He graduated in AC 201. Not in the mood to pick and choose, he made the mistake of submitting his resume to an unemployment agency. They rapidly signed a ten-year contract for him with a high school on Earth, which employed him as a History teacher. This thoroughly pissed him off, as he considered normal teenagers to be "Maxwell's clones", but there wasn't anything he could do but wait until the contract expired.
However, this mismatched job would turn out to be the most dangerous thing he had ever done.
