The days seemed to pass in monotonous secession. Each day was a fight to get out of bed and to continue life. If you could call this life, the colors of the world had grayed and everyday sounds sang funeral dirges to her ears. It almost took more strength than she could give, to each day don the heavy robes of her responsibility and to settle them on shoulders. To lower the mask that would face the world, over her head was the greatest burden of all.
Each day her eyes would stare lifelessly at the unforgiving world, from deep within her mask, gazing uncomprehendingly as life in the world continued. She went trough the motions of life even though her mind wept inconsolably as the sorrow, pain, and grief hidden by the mask assailed her soul.
The people of Spira went on with their lives, joyful in knowing Sin was gone. They never knew that as dream faded so to did their grand maesstress' life.
