By the way, this takes place right after Yugi beat Joey in the WB series. I have only seen the series, so if any of this is wrong, so sorry. Also, this takes place right after Yugi dealt the final blow. He hasn't taked to Joey yet or anything. Just thought I would clear that up.

I won. I can't belive I won. I will now go on to face Pegasus and win for my Grandpa and the Kaiba brothers. I feel so happy, but so sad. I did not want Joey to lose. I had no choice though. I wonder if he will take the money. I do not want it nor need it, but I am afraid Joey will refuse. What if he's mad at me? What if he doesn't take the money? He can always say that we are still friends, but how can I be sure? I am afraid. Afraid that Joey won't...won't..no. I am not going to think about it. I will offer him the money and if he refuses, he refuses. I just hope he won't refuse my friendship too.
Joey
Oh god. Serenity. I lost. I failed you. I cant belive I failed you. I tried so hard, I got so far, but it seems like it has all been a waste. You said that you were hoping to see me one last time, I was hoping for you to see me to. It was all within reach. I could have beat Yugi. I could have. I just don't understand. Even when I had the upper hand, he still came through. Even when he was about to lose, he came through. That is why I admire him. Yes I admire him. He is a strong duelist, and a good friend. But I still lost. I still failed. I wish that, that, oh, I don't know anymore. I hope there is another way.

There is just no winning in a situation like this. Either way, one of my friends lose. This time, it was Joey. I feel so bad for him, not being able to help his sister. I feel so bad for him. Yet I feel so happy for Yugi. Yugi, there are so many things to be said for Yugi. He can now go on and face Pegasus. I am sure that he will triumph. But whenever I start to be happy for Yugi, I look at Joey. There is no winning in a situation like this.

I new Yugi would win. Joey is a good duelist and all, but come on, we all know who is the best. It was a win win situation for me. Either way a friend won, even if won lost. Either way they got to help someone they loved. Besides, I'm sure Yugi will make sure Joey has the money for his sister. Yugi isn't a cold-hearted creep. He wanted Joey to win just as much as he wanted himself to win. I think. Sometimes I just can't figure Yugi out.

What an amazing duel. They both gave it their all, inspiring each other and raising the level of play. They encouraged eachother, and even as Yugi dealt the winning blow, they remained friends. Extrordinary. I think now that Yugi will go on to face Pegasus with a lot more up his sleeve. He has taught so much to Joey, but in this battle, I think that Yugi learned a thing or to as well. Joey showed much brilliance on all of his plays, as did Yugi. I think you can really tell that Joey is Yugi's student. You can see so much of what Joey learned from Yugi in his duels that for a moment I thought that Yugi was dueling himself. Extrordinary.

Well well Yugi boy, you have triumphed once more. But your next duel will be your last. Stunning display of talent really. Even when I put you up against your best friend you gave it your all. Shame your talent will be going to waste. After I harness your soul and your Millenium item, I can finally have power over life and death. She can finally come back to me.
