Lorelai was sitting on the couch reading a book when she got a phone call
"Hello?"
"Hi" a familiar voice said from the other end
"Chris?"
"Yeah, um look Lor, I'm just gonna flat out tell ya, I really want things to work out for us and I can leave Sherri right away for you.....I'll do anything for you" he was as serious as a dog looking for it's bone
"NO, you hurt me enough times that I don't even want to be near you anymore, so just stay the hell away from me and leave me alone!" she slammed the phone down on the couch and then started to cry. These times when she needed Luke the most
The next day she woke up to start another day of being bored. Then the phone rang again
"Please be Rory, PLEASE be Rory!" she said to herself as she answered the phone
"Hello?"
"MOM!" Rory screamed
"Rory come home I miss you so so so so so so so so so much!!!"
"Mom only 3 more days"
"I'm counting the milliseconds" Lorelai said "So how's Washington, same old?"
"Yeah I hate it the only thing I like is when I DON'T have to be around Paris, oh I gotta go I miss you!"
" I miss you more!"

Lorelai hung up the phone and sighed the she thought * okay I'm going to do it today I'm going to Luke's*
She got dressed and walked out the door she decided to walk to Luke's just to clear her head when she got to the door she was just about to turn around and leave when Miss. Patty stopped her
"Oh Lorelai, dear haven't seen you in a while, what are you having breakfast at some other guy you like's diner?
"What" she said confused
"Neva mind I'm just saying I wish you and Luke would stop that silly fight of yours, you both are in love with each other why don't you just admit it?"
"I'm not in love with Luke!"
"whatever you say dear at least come in and cool off, ya know have some coffee. I'll go with you I promise it'll be fun!"
"Fine"
They walked inside to see Luke at the counter. There was nobody else there.
"Luke darling!" miss patty said with excitement
"I'll take a coffee and a chicken salad to go"
"Coming right up"
Luke went to the back to get her food
"I thought you said you would stay with me!"
"Oh well I have to get to my class sorry darling"
Luke came back and handed her the food
"Talk to ya later" and out the door Miss patty went
"So um Luke can I have some coffee?"
"Sure" he said pouring her a cup
Lorelai's head was spinning, did he love her? Did he hate her? She had to know!
"LUKE"
"What?"
"Stop!"
"Stop what I'm not doing anything?"
"Stop acting like I'm imaginary if your mad just be mad!"
"I'm not mad Lorelai"
"I just need to know one thing"
"What is it how much my coffee will cost if I die Lorelai?" he said angry
"No" she said starting to cry "I wanna know this"
She went over and kissed him fiercely. It was like they had been waiting for this their whole life, which they have.
