The New Squirrel

except for Sam, he's all mine!
Plot: Sandy's brother, Sam, has come to Bikini Bottom. He's charming,
witty, and seems to like everything that Spongebob, Patrick, Squidward,
and Mr. Krabs like. Will Sam steal all Sandy's friends away?
Spongebob sighed as he looked around his front yard. "What a
beautiful day!" he declared as he took his surroundings in. The sun
was shining, the water temperature was just right, everything was
perfect.
"Spongebob!" someone called. Spongebob looked over to see Patrick
running towards him. "Spongebob! Spongebob, there are something
really weird over at Sandy's house! It's scary!". Spongebob sighed.
"Come now, Patrick, I'm sure it's nothing to be afraid of," Spongebob
said calmly. "We'll just have to go over and see." "Patrick scared!!"
Patrick whined. He danced around looking worried. Spongebob gave
him an annoyed look and marched off toward Sandy's house.
"Sandy! Sandy, are you there?" Spongebob called. Spongebob went
over to the door and opened it. "No Spongebob! It's evil! EVIL!!"
Patrick cried hysterically. "What's evil?" Sandy asked as she greeted
them at her front door. "Oh, there you are Sandy. Patrick said you had
someone over at your house. For some reason, he's scared of them."
Spongebob said.
"Well, my brother's here today, but he's not evil, well, at least not to
people he likes!" Sandy said with a smile. "I want ya'll to meet him! I'm
sure you'll like him! Hold on just a second there!" Sandy told them as
she ran back inside the treedome. She came out accompanied by
someone in a water suit just like hers. "This here's my brother, Sam!
Sam, this is Spongebob and Patrick, my two best friends in the whole
sea!"
The other squirrel smiled. "Hi there. Nice to meet you." Spongebob
noticed that the other squirrel didn't seem to have the same accent that
Sandy had, and it surprised him when he'd spoken.
"Hmm, what's wrong with your voice? You don't sound at all like
Sandy!" Spongebob asked. He had assumed that all squirrels talked
like Sandy.
"Well, I guess my southern accent must've rubbed off," Sam
laughed. "I moved to New York City a few years ago."
"What's a… Nuuu Yoorrk?" Patrick asked.
"Well, it's a great big city up north, with skyscrapers and people
everywhere! Some people like to call it a 'concrete jungle', because there
are barely any trees or anything, just hard, gray, concrete buildings.
Well, except for this huge park in the middle of the city, called Central
Park…" Sam continued, caught up in the excitement of telling
Spongebob and Patrick about his new home. If fact, he was so caught
up, he didn't even notice Sandy's look of annoyance.
Always the one to grab all the attention, aren't we, Sam, she thought.
He was always the one with the best stories, the center of attention.
And now, even her two best friends were held by his spell. She took a
deep breath and tried to calm herself down. After all, she thought, it is
pretty exciting to hear about new places. She just hoped that Sam
wouldn't steal her friends away like he'd done so many other times.
She watched as Sam lead Spongebob and Patrick over to her picnic
table to tell them more about New York and the surface world. It's
gonna be a long week, she thought nervously.
