Blade

Disclaimer: I do not own Ice Age, Diego, Manny, Sid, and the rest. If I did I'd be rich. I do however own Blade (Not the half-vampire one played by Wesley Snipes)

Halfway between half-peak and the southern lands:

'Damn that bastard! If I ever see his worthless hide again I'll break his other saber off!'

Blade, a saber who was at least 25 in his people's years, about Diego's size with ice blue eyes, a large scar on his right eye, and well muscled. But above all he was a rouge. He hadn't been in a pack since he was very young. He winced in pain again as the saber tooth that was lodged in his side shifted again.

"Ahh damnit!" He growled between his teeth

On his way south he had crossed the path of a very pissed of male saber. He was never very good at diplomacy so the fight began rather quickly. He held his own until four other males from the pack flipped him on his back and pinned him. Their leader bite into his gut while he was struggling and got only one saber in. But when he tried to pull out Blade threw the other sabers off of him and rolled onto his legs, unfortunately the leader didn't pull out and his saber snapped off. Blade hadn't survived this long by being stupid so he took off the second he was free and continued on his way.

Unfortunately blood loss and hunger were taking their toll on him, and slowly his body began to shut down.

"Damn snow.Damn ice.Damn sabers.Damn humans"

Blade continued muttering that same phrase for the next two hours as his body lost more and more blood. Eventually he couldn't feel his right rear leg and look back to find it was now dragging behind him, uselessly.

"Gust damn great, now I get to drag my leg! This is just the best freaking day!" He growled to nobody in particular.

An hour later he was dragging both of his rear legs.

"Just a few more step.just a few.more.steps.just.a.few.uhh...uhh.ahh." With that Blade collapsed heavily. His breath's short and staggered.

Meanwhile our sub-zero hero's continue to travel south following a mysterious trail of blood. It had taken a little convincing on Diego's part to get his friends to allow him to track the injured animal, but in the end they all agree. Except for Sid as usual.

"I tired, cold, and hungry!" Sid complained again.

"Sid" Diego said politely

"Yes"

"Shut up." Was Diego's cold reply.

"Do you have any idea what were tracking?" Manny asked.

Diego had to admit he liked Manny a lot more then Sid. For the main purpose that, unlike the sloth, Manny could actually handle a normal conversation. This came at a price, as it was harder for Diego to resist eating the mammoth twice as much as it was Sid. For god sakes the sloth smelled like he'd been wadding in a pile of crap!

"Not yet, all I know is that we're really close." Diego didn't look up as he responded In truth Diego knew perfectly well whet they were tracking. After about an hour more of tracking Diego looked up to stretch his neck when something catches his eye.

"What the hell?" Diego mutters

Roughly twenty feet from him, Diego sees what looks like a patch of redish- brown fur.

"I'm I seeing things now?" Diego squinted as he tried to identify the fur.

Manny stepped up to Diego's side, obviously curious.

"Hey Uber-tracker, what are you seeing?"

What has Diego found? What is he hiding? Why the hell won't my writers block go away? Find out the answers next time in BLADE!
