The Man of Honor and Courage

Why is it that most people find Seifer an annoying pest who can't fight well? Is life just all about judging from your battling skills? Is life just all about judging from your outer appearance? In my eyes, Seifer was a human like all of us but in such way that he was one of the most interesting person in Final Fantasy ever made. He stood far from the rest and he wasn't the same like any other. He was always in the wrong, always unwelcomed and disliked because he was found an irritating person, a mere troublemaker who just wants to attract attention. But when he was being courageous at that time, who was there to witness it all? In everybody's minds, they just think: Oh look, there goes Seifer, the annoying pest, showing his Hyperion again, and going against the world again.

Is life just judging from your battling skills? Sure, Seifer couldn't fight as well as Squall and some others did. But now i'll come to the humorous part. You know that there's no denying that it was THREE person who fought against Seifer. Now would that be fair? Let's have Squall against Seifer. Yes, you have that in Disc One, where Seifer lost out immediately. But if you used Squall against Seifer at Disc Three, let's see you win the battle. No, i'm not criticizingSquall or anything. It's really a fact that Seifer CAN fight but doesn't have a better limit break than Squall, that's all.

When Seifer was courageous...who was there to turn around and admire him? Who was there to support him all the way throughout? There wasn't anyone and he was to survive on his own. He was manipulated in the arms of a sorceress and he was brain-washed, not like he could help it anyway. Just right then when he became the Sorceress's Knight, his world came collapsing before his eyes...But was there a chance to back out? He was a man of pride who was always afraid of teases voicing behind his back. So he finally accepted the situation he was putting himself in. He knew it was his fault, but he knew there was no turning back. He just had to go on.

What happened when the world turn its back against him? What happened when everybody started to walk out on him? He was left on two knees and who knew when he cried in the night? He feared much, he hated himself. Nobody was there to hear his pain, nobody was there to see him cry. He needed a shoulder, but who was there to lend him one? So he was left alone in this lonely world, with only he himself struggling on...But didn't he managed to survive in the end? Now if it was for you, wouldn't you feel like backing out when the world starts crashing before your eyes?

Seifer, he was a man full of courage. He strived on, he feared much, he experienced much but he survived in the end. Through the four discs, he was seen as a school troublemaker, who bullies others. He was seen as a person with a heck-care attitude, but who could understand the deep feelings he kept in his heart? Just like any other humans, his heart wasn't made of solid metal. It still consists of pain, misery and tears struggling to break free.

But nobody was there to admire his courage, nobody was there to help him up when his world walk out on him...He could only count on his courage to do everything.

Seifer Almasy, the legendary knight, a man full of honor, pride and courage. So many words to describe this man with an endless amount of willpower.

Of course, let's not forget, this is Seifer Almasy we're talking about. The Seifer Almasy who knows no sickness, the Seifer Almasy who knows no tears. That's why i idolize him and i'm sure he'll always be the Seifer i know and love of.
