Little Miss Nobody

by sugar.coated

*Star light,*

The girl wasn't moving. Barely breathing, blue eyes closed, pale face tilted downwards. Arms folded across her chest, but not by her own choice. No, this girl was a danger to herself and to those around her. She needed to be locked up tightly, not even being allowed to move her hands, because if she did so, _things_ could happen. Her young life was wasting away in a straightjacket in a mental institution, just because she was born different.

*Star bright,*

And suddenly she thought about the stars.

*First star I see tonight,*

It was a long time since she last saw them. Even longer since she wished upon one.

*I wish I may,*

She used to wish a lot. First it was simple things, because life was simple. Even when they were hungry and cold and poor they always had each other. Then that life ended, and she wished for it back. Wished to see Marya's warm eyes, being hugged by Django's strong arms again. Wished for her brother to be like he was before the incident. Before their parents had died. Before their _real_ father had found them.

*I wish I might,*

Then she was brought here. And she started wishing for her father to come back for her. To see her brother one more time. To be let outside these cold, uncaring stonewalls for just a little while. To see the sun. And the stars. And with time, she grew up. Her wishes changed yet again.

*Have the wish I wish tonight.*

Now there was only one thing she wished for.

*I wish . . .*

Revenge.

.the.end.

AN: So, what do ya think? People liked "Suffer the little children"! Yay! Thank you who have reviewed that story so far; Blood Roses, nat, Seth, flitwicke, Bobcat Moran and Carpedaim. You inspired me to write a new angsty lock-up fic, this one about Wanda. I assumed that hers and Pietro's past was kinda like in comic-verse, and then Magneto found them and brought them to New York with him. And then all the stuff told in "The HeX Factor" (which I haven't seen) happened. So, there! Please review! Was this better/worse than "Suffer the little children"? Should I write more like this? I'd like to know.

Oh, and I'm looking for English (American) nursery rhymes. If you know any (especially creepy ones), please let me know? The ones we have in Sweden are just so . . . blah.

Disclaimer: I don't own anything X-men. The nursery rhyme belongs to someone. Not me. I own this story. Hurrah!
