Author's Notes: Okay, this is weird and short but it demanded to be written. My next should be longer….
Disclaimer: I do not own any aspect of Final Fantasy Nine…a chocolate covered Zidane, Blank and Kuja would be nice though…

The rain beats down upon my skin, a cold curtain against my curiosity. The fallen troop lies still and weary before me, that elephant-lady did a superb job in choosing a supreme general. I gaze down at them all, a Burmecian rat, a black mage one of my own creations, an unidentifiable species of marsh creature and…a boy.
I know that he is one of my kinds a Genome. I can tell by the appearance of a tail, even in this pounding torrent the fur shines of golden sunbeams. His hair is blonde, typical of an ordinary Genome; an Angel of Death…
He is I, my other half so to speak, yet as I stare at him I cannot help but feel lost. He should be surpassing me in all levels yet here he is weak and defeated before me. I am a Genome but I hide it, a weakness to my superiority. I hide the tail beneath my clothing whilst my hair is silver because of my magic, unlike an ordinary Genome.
I tilt my head to one side surveying him with sudden lust. I smirk as I move towards them, flicking my disobedient hair behind my shoulder with a flick of my fingers. My boots thud upon the ground and they stir, their eyes reguarding me with fear; all except the boy…
His cornflower eyes meet mine and we stare at each other, nothing else exists at that precise moment save us. His gaze is strong, competent, brimming with determination then it falls as he collapses as they all collapse.
I turn away to my silver dragon, only he can take me to new heights. As I walk toward this magnificent creature I smile, the boy is mine. Alighting my steed I maintain my smile and the dragon arises and soars to the heavens leaving the boy far behind.
I know that we shall meet again and I shall be ecstatic when we do, for he is I and I am he, sunlight to moonlight, and together forever…
