Sune and Luna were rivalling divine beings. Sune commanded the forces of Light and illumination while Luna controlled the Dark and the celestial spirits such as the moon and stars. Sune and Luna's powers were equal. Both fought constantly for control or to out do the other.

One day Sune created the earth, Luna was furious. In her rage she created the ocean. Both Sune and Luna were surprised when their most close confidants began to neglect them. Soon they had begun to completely ignore Sune and Luna. After a while Luna became depressed. In her sadness she climbed to the tallest mountain peek and laid herself to sleep. Sune, seeing his chance to take over the sky with his blinding light followed Luna. He lifted the magical dagger above her chest cavity but as he gazed down at her innocent face he couldn't bring himself to kill her.

Filled with a mixture of confusion and rage he sat starring at the orange sky. He sat there thinking. Many thoughts of things he could do with Luna out of the way passed through his mind but he hadn't the heart to put any to action. Instead he stood up from his seat and walked over to Luna. Bringing his hand to his heart he sat by her side and waited for to awaken. Days passed and yet she still wouldn't awaken, Sune was becoming worried. She began to wither away and seem so tiny just lying there. Unconsciously, he let a tear escape the confines of his eye. Sune waited as a month passed and she looked as if she was about to die there. Sune finally realised how much he missed her, how much he loved her. With a hopeful smile he leant down and whispered, "I love you Luna" into her ear. But he had realised his feelings to late. Luna's soul had already departed from her body. Watching him with tearful eyes she let her tears flow down onto the earth as she whispered forlornly, "I love you too Sune."

When Luna had given up all hope she felt a tug on her spiritual form. She closed her eyes and when she reopened them she was alive. A weak smile alighted her features and Sune let tears roll down his face. He took her hand and they both created their most amazing deal of all. Every twelve hours the sun would set, the moon would rise and they would continue that cycle from then on.
