"Alright, it's time to play god…again."
Dolor walked onto the hexagonal platform, the dust puffing into tiny clouds around her feet as her baseball shoes made contact with the inscriptions carved into the stone. She adjusted her purple checkered flannel and brushed some of the dust off of her white t-shirt, the dust falling onto her jeans before rolling off to the floor.
A flash appeared on the opposite end of the platform as a teen who was wearing a black shirt and trousers paired with a blue jacket. His jet black hair and eyes almost matching the background of the timeless abyss that surrounded them. The smartwatch on his left arm displaying the images of an eye that glowed a dim cyan on a black background. He sized up Dolor before walking to another section on his left.
"New outfit?"
"I tried to incorporate my purple while not sticking out too much in that time era, how is it?"
"Yikes," Nate replied. He smirked as Dolor displayed her surface-deep affection with a single finger in the air.
"Alright you two, don't destroy the indestructible dimension before I've got my worth out of it."
Nate and Dolor turned to the voice, Dolor placing her thumbs into the pocket of her jeans while Nate placed his hands behind his back. Viribus walked onto another section of the platform, chuckling at Nate's formalities despite their relations. He put his thumb and pinky together and held his hands together, turning them inwards to change his appearance from wearing nothing but a teal cloak to a white tuxedo decorated with a small speck of blue spattered onto his left shoulder.
They stood on the platform in the arrangement of the points of a triangle while all of their eyes glowed. Nate holding up his watch while Dolor and Viribus raising their right and left hands respectively to an indent on the centre of the platform, activating the dimension's mechanism as glowing crystals matching their colours manifested themselves.
"Alright, before you two create yet another multiversal war I'm going to state our next course of action as Deus." Viribus stated while turning his left hand slowly to morph the crystals into the shape of nine spheres surrounding a smaller bluish-green one.
"Disturbances have been detected around these dimensions surrounding this version of earth. The exact cause has yet to be located, but I suspect that it might have something to do with the 'Crimson Mage' we've been trying to chase down."
"Our plan is to plant a trojan to monitor these dimensions, normally Nate would be in charge but this one requires someone with a historic understanding and centuries of experience with magic. So Dolor will be in charge of monitoring."
"Nice, I finally outclass Nate on something."
"Something other than poor film taste."
"I was a 17th century peasant, the only people who had access to the theatre were aristocrats and those who paid for puppet shows. Besides, it still works for Enna."
"This is getting more sidetracked than a poorly engineered monorail…" Viribus muttered as Nate and Dolor continued their bickering. Pinching the bridge of his nose as a small hexagon appeared beside each of the nine spheres surrounding earth.
