Luz looked at her hands. She was nervous beyond belief. Her father, the Superintendent and the person that built the school, was talking to the Principal about her new schedule. Ever since her magic started to awaken, her mom and dad talked about enrolling her into her father's school. Her dad's school is for people like her. People... that are different. People that shouldn't exist. People like Witches, Demons, Vampires, Werewolves, creatures that hide amongst Humans, all that type of stuff. Luz herself is an interesting person, she's only half witch, but she is far more powerful than any other witch. The door opened and she stood up and walked in.

"Ah, Miss Belos, come, sit." The Principal said, "I am Principal Bump. Your father said you've begun to develop your magic."

"Y-y-yes, that's true." Luz said.

"Well, as you will see in this school, there is a certain subject, followed by a track. For example, a Vampire will be in the Bloodsucker Subject and can pick between Shadow Magic or Blood Magic. There are certain subjects that overlap, like Vampires and Demons being in a few Undead Classes. For you being a witch, you'll obviously be in the Witch Subject. As for tra-"

He was cut off by her father.

"She's going to be in all of them."

"B-b-but, that's against the rules."

"And who made that rule?"

"Y-y-you did." Bump said.

"Which means I can also make an exception. Remember who pays your salary."

"V-v-very well, Sir." He handed Luz a uniform, "I'll see you next week on the first day of the next semester."

"Thank you, Principal Bump." Belos said, "Come, Princess, your mother is waiting for us at home."

Luz got up and followed her dad. They got into the car and her dad put up his mortal form.

"There, can't let anyone see me in my normal form." He said, "Have to be subtle."

"Dad, there is nothing subtle about a Lamborghini SC20, with a gold paint job." Luz said.

He looked at her.

"Luz, what's the matter? You always wanted to go to Hexside High, why are you acting like this?"

"I'm just... before my magic started to activate, I was always ridiculed at school for liking fantasy and being born with pointed ears. What if people here mess with me because I'm half human?"

Her dad simply chuckled.

"Luz, do you have any idea how many people here are part human? I know most the children's parents, I can safely tell you, being part Human isn't that bad."

Luz gave him a small smile.

"Thanks, Dad."

"You're welcome, Princess. Now, let's get home, your mother is waiting and dinner is getting cold."
