Author's Note: So loved the concept, after reading/reviewing one-shot: Not His Best Idea Ever by: Griddlebone
Silence. So pin dropping quiet, Disregarding everything/one Scott walks up to gently cradle Summer's face in his strong hands. The heart melting smile on his face can't be denied, she leans up on her tippy-toes to kiss his nose.
"I understand why you didn't tell them." Scott looks up at Martin and Clara Landsdown's flabbergasted shocked faces. Inwardly, hoping the team backs up what next comes out his mouth without question.
"I'm sorry sir, you can't marry off my wife."
Scott states strongly staring her father down. As he causally wraps his arms around Summer's waist, pulling her against his chest. She giggles bashfully, lightly smacking his chest as she turns around in his arms.
"Honey, control yourself."
"Forgive me sweetheart, you know I can't keep my hands off you."
The laugh so genuinely, the team just stare more shocked. Yet Flynn's blue eyes shine in silent chuckles. Dillon just gives a raised eye as Ziggy looks like he is watching a pingpong match.
As soon as the Landsdown wake up from their frozen trance immediately Clara scoffs.
"Summer dear, why? He's so-"
"-middle class mother? Sure but Scott is our leader ranger Red, he is the fighter pilot I saved before the dome's shields went up."
"I swore that day ma'am, this angel here saved me. We were inseparable ever since. Getting closer with every battle against Venjix's forces and discussing the pain of losing Marcus and Andrews."
"Scott's older brother and my personal butter Andrews remember him?"
Summer walks over to her parents, Scott having released her but not completely. Neither Landsdown giving Summer any indication they know whom she is talking about.
Clara just grimaces staring down as this thought before servant of the Power Rangers has her daughter's shoulders underneath his left arm, his right hand gently holding her own right hand. Clara turns to her husband, Martin looks the two up and down.
"Dad, we need that diamond."
"We have been planning your wedding to Chez since you were 5."
Scott subtly looks to Dillon behind Martin, they share a smirk at that name. Deep brown eyes glance down at the blonde in his arms. Scott kisses her head to bring back her smile. At the mention of this Chez guy, Summer scoffed annoyed.
"Summer we are broke. We have no money. Ugh how do regular people keep saying that? We. Have. No. Money. God those words are worse then this Venjix craziness."
Martin hugs his wife close. Completely agreeing with her. He looks to their hands, in less disgust then his wife. Yet still condescending and smug, he grins like a shark.
"Summer dear, you're not lying to us are you? No fine jewelry is anywhere on you as far I can tell. If a young man can't shower his woman in luxury, is he really worth anything?"
"Hey now! Scott practically worships Summer." They all turn to Flynn as Dillon had nearly strangled Ziggy by the back of his jacket into Dr. K's sealed laboratory doors. Martin and Clara both unimpressively stare at the blue boy as he gestures to Scott's red speed racer.
"He doesn't allow any of us near his car. Summer is the only one that can drive it without an argument."
Scott hesitantly nods his head with a sheepish grin. Summer rests head again his shoulder. Both knowing Flynn is so lying. The height difference, he leans down to kiss her blonde hair.
"Mom, dad. . . Scott loves me for whom I am. For the feisty caring ranger Yellow he leads. The guys all care for me too. Flynn's always supported Scott and I since the beginning of our 3 men team. Ziggy may badly joke about us, but he means well. As for Dillon-"
"-Unmoveable rock that will hurt anyone that dares look at Mr. & Mrs. Truman wrong."
Dillon stares strongly returning to the garage with Ziggy in toe. Dillon winks at Summer as she hugs Scott's side more. The big brown eyes of the green ranger shine with love proudly showing the Landsdowns, a beautiful marriage certificate.
"Totally yeah. Trust me, me and Dillon were weirded out when joining the team. Not because we hated them or anything but more of shock. I mean seeing them always get handsy and hot, not even a crowbar can separate them. Heck just yesterday when a Grinder attacked Summer, knocking her unconscious, oh damn I actually felt sorry for those metal heads. Scott didn't stop until Dillon and Flynn restrained him. I thought they have to knock him out too."
As the two Landsdown look away from Ziggy, Dillon smacks him upside the head.
He laughs so harshly, Flynn grins walking up closer. Hand against his shoulder. "Laying it on to thick Ziggy." Dillon smirks only one that heard that whisper, as the cybernetic hybrid glares at Summer's parents.
"Scott has been nagging at Flynn to custom make rings. But our good old mechanic always says the same thing."
Dillon turns expectedly at the blue ranger, immediately Flynn laughs grin widely.
"Until we defeat Venjix, when things get more peaceful again."
"So you see, I'm more then happy here. Yes, I didn't keep my promise of marrying Chez but my happiness mean something more right?"
Both Landsdown parents flatly stare at their daughter that they hadn't contacted since the dome of Corinth first went up.
"We. Have. No. Money-
-No wedding, no diamond, we'll give you until tomorrow to make your final decision."
Martin's last words without a backwards glance starting to lead his stunned wife out. Yet the alarms go ringing off just before they full exist. Dr. K's voice booms throughout the speakers around them.
"Rangers, intruders destroyed the side wall. Location at the park down by the market."
Scott/Summer share a sad look even as they kiss. Before Scott opens his red racer door swiftly leading the the blue truck, black enforcer car and light yellow motorcycle into the fray.
"Oh Martin, I want the old Summer back." She dramatically leans against him. As he nods his head. Watching their daughter leaving to ugh save people in her little yellow tights.
"Don't worry darling, she's a true Landsdown. She'll do the rich thing. Come on let's get the newspapers ready."
