Ever wondered exactly how Peter Parker-Coulson got into contact with all of these heroes within the Next Avengers?

Well, let's just say that not all of them were good people.

This is for your eyes only.

File report : Weapon X-23
Mission : Destroy at all costs
Agent assigned
: Agent S

It all began where it always does...S.H.I.E.L.D.

One of their intelligence buildings were broken into and Fury called the one agent he knows he can trust.

"Director." Peter greeted as he strolled into the building whilst Fury was looking at the damage the intruder caused.

"Agent S." Fury greeted him. "We need your help with this one...it's a bit out of the Agents usual mission."

"How unusual?" Peter asks.

"The intruder has been reported to have metal claws and tore through the whole security team." Fury stated and gestured to the gigantic holes in the wall.

"Meal claws?" Peter asks in shock. "She didn't have a laser or anything like?"

"No. Why?" Fury wonders.

"You know how many metals that can cut through these walls?" Peter asks the Director.

"Not many." Fury shrugged.

"Yeah, I designed them that way." Peter stated. "No metal claws should be capable of getting even a scratch off these walls. Whatever they're made out of, it's stronger than anything I've ever seen. And there's not a lot I don't know."

"Sir, we've got intel on the last files that were accessed." An agent reported. "They took any intel regarding...him." He looks towards Agent S.

"Do we have a lead on where they went?" Fury questions.

"Agents have reported her heading out of town." An agent was going to hand over the information to Fury when S took it and looked over the info.

"Looks to me as if she hunted them all." Peter reported as he looked over the security footage that was restored. "Their movements are almost animal like."

"Think you can track them down?" Fury wonders.

"Give me an hour." Peter confirmed.

The assassin made it across the forest and to the rendezvous point where she was supposed to be picked up for the information she stole.

She removed her mask to reveal her long muddy brown hair and dark blue eyes as she decided to look at the intel she stole.

The footage started with a few messages from Richard Parker about his five month old son.

"Say hi to the camera, Peter." Mary tells baby Peter who looks to the camera in his father's hands and laughs.

The camera glitches to Richard Parker sitting in what appears to be a S.H.I.E.L.D. room. "It's been two months since Peter's birth, and he seems to be advancing better than other kids his age. But other than that, there's nothing strange to report. Maybe the super soldier serum didn't affect with him as we first thought." Richard says before it moves onto the next video dated a week after the last one.

"In my last update, Peter showed no signs of powers, but recently, he's been acting strange. When an agent walked past him, he cried like no tomorrow, the same day, we learned that Agent was planning an assassination attempt on Director Fury. Looking further into it, we learned his mind has developed the ability to...sense danger. Like a sixth sense. We think this is the one of many powers that he will have."

X-23 watches how he was raised with a loving family and can't help but remember all the time she spent whimpering in the corner of her dark room with nobody else to talk to and no one showing her compassion or love.

Another video appeared and it was after the incident that claimed the Agents lives and showed Clint Barton training Peter.

"Now hold on, don't shoot yet." Clint says as he trains Peter how to shoot a bow and arrow. "You see where it's going?"

"Yep." Ten years old Peter confirmed.

"Great, now let's make sure it gets there." Clint said and backed off. "Okay, remember three fingers."

Peter backed the specially made bow that was designed to withstand his strength and shot the arrow straight into the bullseye.

"Yeah, great shooting there, Hawkeye." Clint cheered him on.

X-23 then once again, remembered her days she spent training, bleeding, and getting beaten until she was a perfect soldier for them to use. She was kept in a box, or in a training room. And this individual, who was just like her, was allowed to have a normal life, but he chose to fight.

All those days getting herself beaten in the rain, getting trained to the bone, and he wasn't getting the same treatment. She wishes she had a life like that. But this was the life she was given.

She was an experiment. Born to be nothing more than a weapon.

She was going to look further into it when she began to smell something was approaching and quickly hid.

Peter had just reached the location and dropped down to the area where he sees some light and a tablet in the middle of the room.

"Well, that's not suspicious at all." Peter muttered to himself as he walked towards the table just as his senses went off.

Quickly taking a stance, Peter was waited for something to happen just as the floor got clawed and caused Peter to drop through it.

X-23 was on the roof, using her claws to stay on the roof and quickly retracted them to leap at Peter who quickly dodged the attack.

"You've got some skills, kid." Peter complimented her. "Where'd you get your training?"

"Wouldn't you like to know!" X-23 declared as she raced over to claw at him, but Peter dodged the attack, only for her to kick Peter into the wall before running off and grabbing the tablet.

Peter quickly raced on to find her, still trying to figure out where she could've come from. "Come on, kid, talk to me."

His senses went off again, but this time it was too late when X-23 dropped a chunk of the ceiling on him, but Peter used his webbing to redirect most of it towards X-23.

X-23 just takes the damage and charges at Peter and kicking him back.

"Note to self, keep this out of my report to Fury." Peter whispers to himself. If he learned he was getting beaten by some as Asian with a metal skeleton, he'd never let him live it down.

X-23 ran up to a wall, pulling out a claw on her foot and using it to climb upwards and tries to escape.

"You're not getting away that easily, kid!" Peter stated as he shot a web at her leg, only for her to quickly cut it.

"I am not a kid!" X-23 stated as she charged to attack Peter, but he grabbed her arms, trying to avoid her claws.

"You are. You're just like me." Peter told her. "But they used you, didn't they? Exploited you for what you can do."

X-23 quickly kneed him in the chest, sending him flying backwards. As he was regaining his balance, X-23 charged in and kicked him, tackling Peter as they were sent flying through the wall and into the cold rain.

"Why are you after me? Who put you up to this?" Peter asks.

"This is all your fault!" X-23 stated as she went in for another attack, but Peter kept dodging her swings. "Everything I am is because of you!" She declared and went to use her foot claw, but that ended with Peter once again dodging, and her ending up imbedded into the tree.

"What are you talking about?" Peter asks as he tried to calmly approach her.

X-23 breaks off the tree and was able to catch him off guard and slice through his uniform, surprising Peter as his suit was designed to be almost indestructible.

"I was created to destroy you!" X-23 stated and went in to strike again, but this time Peter webbed her legs and arms, causing her to drop down and roll. "I...I'm like this because of you..."

"I am victim. Just like you." Peter informed her before kneeling down to face her. "I was created to be a soldier, but they were stuck with me. I'm the only person that understands what's going on with you. Please...stop trying to fight and let me help you."

X-23 breaks out of the webbing and begins to break down and goes in for another attack, but it was a sad attempt as Peter just grabbed her arm and pulled her into a hug, being the final nail in the coffin as she broke down into tears.

"It's okay. I've got you. I'll help you." Peter promises her. "You don't have to be alone anymore."

As they were talking, they hear propellers and S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicopters were coming down to surround them, causing the girl to get defensive again.

"It's gonna be okay." Peter assured her.

S.H.I.E.L.D.

Peter was with Fury in his personal quarters where Laura Kinney was sleeping. After some talking, she told Peter that was her name with the Facility.

The Facility was where she was created and experimented on. And is the next place where Peter plans on destroying once she's settled.

"What do you plan to do with her now?" Fury asks Peter.

"She didn't ask for this life, Fury." Peter informed him. "She's like me. She just needs to be shown some compassion. She might be able to help us in the future, if she wants."

"You want us to put her on the Index?" Fury asks Peter.

"No...I've been thinking about something for a while now." Peter told him. "An Index of children individuals who might be able to function as a team."

Over the passing months, Peter trained with Laura, helped her with her issues, got her away from S.H.I.E.L.D. for a few days to give her a few days in the real world, and even revealed his true identity to her feeling she deserved to know it.

The two got close and Laura was happy to have finally gotten away from the Facility and have a life like Peter has been given.

And from there, their relationship grew to the point Peter believed she could be on her own and she lived in a safe house of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s and was even going to school, interacting with others, and Peter dropped by anytime he had the chance.

Fun fact: the original characters for the Next Avengers (A Team) were going to be the following.

-Kitty

-Rogue

-Iron lad (who would in fact later become Kang the Conqueror)

-Miss America

-Silk (who was going to be a double agent for HYDRA, and the love interest of Peter)

I changed them after feeling they'd be a little overpowered, and I wanted to save them for other stories. Not to mention wanted to keep the focus on Peter and his journey from nobody, to agent, hero, Avenger, humanity's shield.
