They stayed near Vida's body for a long time. A crowd gathered around, gasping at the sight and calling the police. They didn't notice until they heard sirens coming. A police officer walks through the crowd and pushes the bystanders away.
"Everyone away!" He yelled, before turning to the rangers. He looks at them sadly and bends down to take a look at the body .
"This your friend?" He asked. "We heard there was a monster attack happening around. We can't really do much about them and let the rangers deal with them. Seems like they couldn't defeat this one in time."
The guilt Chip felt knowing he caused this was terrible. He shook and sobbed over. The police officer sighed.
"I'm sorry but we have to take your friend. Despite us not being able to take action, we still need to take it for evidence and-"
"Evidence?! What can you do with Vida! You can't even fight the monsters!" Xander yelled. His eyes widened once he finished. He looked angrily with tears. But the officer took no offense
"I know but our chief said we should. And besides, we need to contact her family in case they want to plan something."
"Uh.. I-I'm her sister." Madison said quietly. She wipes her tears away and stands up.
"That's good. Would you like to plan something?"
Madison nod. "Yes. But I would like to discuss it with our parents…"
"Alright. But as of right now, we need to take the body. We'll keep it safe until you decide."
Reluctantly, Chip let Vida go and a medic takes over, placing the body on a cot and putting a white blanket over it. They watch as they put the body in the vehicle and get in and drive away.
"I'm sorry folks." The officer said and walked away.
The blood has dried on Chip. He hated it. He turns to see Nick hugging Madison. Xander coming in too. They gesture for him to join and he does. Tears fall out of all of them as they grieve for their friend.
"What are we going now..?"
