Okay so for some reason my story is not working on Fanfiction. Woke up this morning and I keep getting a message saying the story is unavailable. So I deleted the story and reuploading it. I will also be changing the rating to Teen cause I feel like that may have been the problem. I don't know where else it would be taken down and I don't have any way to check. If you followed before please refollow this story.

Hello everybody. This is going to be my first 101 Dalmatian story, so I hope you all like it. I recently finished watching 101 Dalmatian Street (I know I was behind) and was upset to hear there most likely won't be a season 2. I really liked these characters and maybe it's because of 'The Owl House' but I really liked Hunter's character and wish they did more with him.

So of course, here I am on fanfiction/AO3 making my own story. I know a few other stories like this are already out there but not as many as I thought there would be. So, I thought I would give it a try. I haven't decided if this is going to be a longer story or a one-shot. We'll find out at the end.

And please if you like this story check out my page. I uploaded a whole other story that I think you may find fun, and updated one of my longer ongoing stories as well.

Also, for those reading on fanfiction. Not AO3 Does anyone know how to request for new categories to be made. Because I can't be the only one that finds it weird that all the Dalmatian categories are not only under one category, but that is also the movie one. Neither of the two tv shows have their own section or even a way to identify which version it is. Ducktales has a menu not only for the original series and the 2017 remake, but even one for the comics! Granted they are all under Ducktales, but the point is that they at least have ways to identify which era they are. Which can also change the list of the characters I believe.

Okay but enough about this let's get to the story. (P.S. I have updated some another one of my other stories and also uploaded a completely new story. Please check them out.)

Hunter…Dalmatian?

Chapter 1: To the Dog House.

It is a late rainy night in Camden Town, London. This goes for a specific area known as Dalmatian Street. Despite the rain it was actually a very quiet night. Meaning it was actually quiet for a change as everyone was asleep. Including a certain house that was home to one-hundred and one Dalmatians! Two parents and ninety-nine kids. Being such a rowdy house, the neighbors take any silence they get as a blessing. Course it is midnight, so everyone was asleep.

…Almost everyone that is.

'Of all nights why did it have to be raining tonight?' A young boy thought to himself ran down the sidewalk. His footsteps breaking the pattern of the night rain. He is wearing a red jacket with a white undershirt, black tie, black pants, black fingerless gloves, and red sneakers. He has blonde hair that goes quite a few inches passed his shoulders and if you were to look at his eyes you could see bags under them meaning that he has not been getting much, if any sleep. He his carrying a bag that has some extra clothes and other basic necessities.

This is Hunter De vil. Oh how he hated that name right now. The last part that is. He has never wished to not have a name before, but now he really wished he could get rid of that last name. It would fix so many problems he has right now.

"Stupid Cruella. This is all her fault. Why did she have to do this to me?" He thought not realizing he was talking aloud. He refused to call that woman his Aunty anymore. He also tried to use her name as little as possible. He did not want to have anything to do with her. Unfortunately, that meant Hunter was kind of…well homeless to put it simply. Not completely by choice though. Just days after helping save the Dalmatian pups, (after kidnapping them in the first place) and…her…getting arrested, he was notified that Cruella had lost all her wealth. For now, that is. All her assets were frozen in light of getting arrested and the list of crimes against her. Not counting kidnapping, the Dalmatian family, more than once counting the very first time, she also had way too many warrants out for her reckless and endangering driving. Among other shady things she did as a business owner. Let's just say that the Dalmatians were not the only animals she has hunted. Which made Hunter sick just thinking about it.

Anyways. The point of this is that because of all her accounts being frozen and everything being under investigation, she also lost the house in which he was staying. He already lived alone not counting the guards/hired servants, meaning that he was on his own. He was supposed to be taken to the police station for questioning. They might ask him if he had any part in helping kidnap the pups, and while he did, he could easily say that Cruella made him do it which would be the truth. But then they would ask if he had anywhere else to go. He knew he did not. He was an orphan at this point.

No home. No parents. No other known family. The police arrived at his, no, her house just earlier that day to take him. But he knew what would happen. He knew he would be taken to an orphanage, and who would want to adopt a kid like him. Cruella was trending all over the news. Once people found out he was related to her no one would want to adopt him. So, he did the only thing that made since to him.

He ran. Packing as many clothes and other necessities as he could he snuck out of what was once where he lived and ran with no clear destination. He wasn't originally planning to come to Dalmatian Street, he must have made the decision without realizing it. It was a place of familiarity, a safe place if you will. He truly had nowhere else to go.

Suddenly Hunter tripped on the sidewalk causing him to fall face first to the cement! He also felt his right knee hit the ground extremely hard, causing him to hiss in pain. He quickly turned around and grabbed his knee. Looking it over. Almost forgetting about the rain. He hit his knee hard enough that not only did he tear a whole into his pants, but also scrapped his knee! It wasn't too bad…as far as he knew. He never really got injured like this. It was bleeding a little bit, but nothing he couldn't take care of. He just needed to clean it and bandage it. Right?

Except…he didn't have any kind of towels. He only had his normal clothes, and even then, he didn't even have any bandages! He completely forgot to pack a first aid kit, even just a makeshift one, in his hurry to run away!

*Sniff. Sniff* Was he crying? He reached up with his hand shaking off as much water as possible before reaching to his eyes. Yep, he was crying. Everything was falling around him! Using the rain, he wiped his knee to clean it off as best as he could. Thankfully, it wasn't bleeding out continuously, but it still hurt. He stood back up wiping away his tears. It caused him to just get more water on his face, but he could care less. He grabbed his duffel bag with all his stuff, which of course fell into a big puddle of water, and continued walking. His knee was hurting enough he could not run anymore.

Walking best he could he started to think about that day. The day the Dalmatians were almost taken and…killed. He thought with Cruella arrested that would be the end. But so much happened that he just could not forget. Both from that night and the one just before she came herself.

"I'm bored with him now."

"What is the point of you!"

"I hate you!"

"Useless boy!"

"Are you a De Vil? Or a dog?!"

"You Traitor! You haven't seen the last of Cruella De Vil!"

All his life he had spent trying to please that women. To get recognition, respect, or even just love. At this point he can't even remember why it was so important to him. It was just what he was taught. And what he feared. She was, unfortunately, his only living relative so he didn't have anyone else to look up to. Thinking more and more about his past he realized that he was almost always afraid of that woman. Never sure what she would do. To the point that he did anything she told him without question. Find the Dalmatians that were related to those ones she tried to kill so long ago. Capture them. Bring them to her. He was so fixated in getting her approval he almost didn't care who got in his way. And those six statements teared it all down. The only family he had left, and she outright said she didn't want him for anything! She disowned him! Those statements and some others kept circling through his head. He couldn't stop thinking about them! He thought he wouldn't care, but how do you respond to someone who was supposed to take care you saying things like that?

He may have seemed happy when she was arrested, in hindsight he was after everything that happened that night. But on the inside, he didn't know what he was going to do. He was just enjoying the moment that all the puppies were alive and safe that he didn't really think about what that woman was saying at the time.

Afterwards the pups went on their way, Hunter waved them off before starting to chase his cat, who has since run away himself. Where did he go? Hunter could care less. Little traitor was working for her the entire time.

Not long after the reality of what happened set in. He was free from that woman. But now also alone. Granted Cruella didn't even live with or anywhere near him, but she supplied him with everything he had and while usually about business, had regular contact. (Except for those six months he was trapped in that container.) Now he had no one. Well…he had one hope.

Finally, he made it to his destination. The Dalmatian home. It was definitely hard to miss. It was the only red brick house for starters. But also had so much hanging out the windows and paint covered a few spots here and there.

For a second Hunter wondered how much of that was due to the pup that got viral for her paintings. Unfortunately, he couldn't remember her name. He didn't really know any of the Dalmatians now that he thought of it. He knew Dylan and Dolly who formally introduced themselves after he helped save them, he knew Dee Dee and Dizzy as well. They were the two that kept calling him 'Mister Funny Face.' And also, the ones he used to get in the house…he would have to apologize for that. Then there was Triple D. He spent a whole day with them and realized he never learned their names. (Did anyone know their names outside of the family?) He assumed they all started with 'D' like all the other pups. And then of course there was the youngest pup, Dorothy. The one he stopped her from trying to kill first. He felt bad for…well everything but he remembered how he used her specifically to get to Dylan.

Hunter was about to knock on the door but hesitated. Would they actually let him stay? Or even help? He didn't fully know what to say. 'Hey guys. I lost my home, don't want to end up in an orphanage so I ran away and was hoping to crash with you for a little bit?' Yeah, because that would go over well. He also stopped to think how he was showing up. In the middle of the night, while it's raining, with a duffel bag. Memories of that night rushed thru his head. Stopping them from calling for help. Capturing the parents. Realizing too late what Cruella's plans really were.

Maybe he could try camping in the park? He turned around to walk down the stairs but slipped due to the rain again!

This time he landed in one of the trash cans that was open. Thankfully, it had a trash bag at the top, so it was a soft landing. Unfortunately, he still knocked the trash can over causing a loud crash! Hunter winced hoping not to wake anyone up. That would be awkward.

"Who is up at this ungodly hour?!" A voice asked from one of the buildings. At first Hunter thought it was one of the Dalmatians but realized it was actually coming from the building to the right. He looked over and saw the next-door cat staring at him. His dog instincts almost kicked in, but he was able to stop himself. That would not help right now. (Now that he had some time to collect himself, he was trying to stop the dog instants more. Although he won't lie. Gaining the ability to speak to the dogs, and other animals by default, was really cool.)

Oh yeah, the one that she through in the crate. He never did apologize for that. Maybe he could help? What was his name again? Con? Stein? No…it was, Constantin! That's it.

"Uhh. H-hi Constantin." Hunter said getting up and wiping off any trash on him.

"I'm surprised you actually remember my name." He replied. "What are you doing here so late? Are you here for a sleepover with those Dalmatians?" He asked looking suspicious at the duffel bag.

"N-no. I-I'm just passing by." Great he was still crying. He tried to hide the tears, but his voice gave him away. He realized how stupid and weird his reply was but he was caught off guard.

"Your hurt." Constantine said bluntly looking at the boy's knee. "Come inside and I can help you get patched up." He disappeared before Hunter could say anything. He wasn't expecting this. He was mean to the Constantin the last time they meet. Well…she was. But he didn't try to stop her. Why would this cat help him?

Suddenly the door to Constantin's house opened the cat looking unfazed as most cats do. Not wanting to tempt his luck Hunter grabbed his bag and quickly got inside glad to be out of the rain.

His dog instincts kicking in again he tried to shake himself off since he was soaking wet. His hair especially. He looked back where Constantin was standing and flinched when he saw he accidentally got said cat wet.

"I'm so sorry! I'm sorry it's a habit I'm trying to break. I can get you a towel. Where do you keep your towels? I am so so-" Suddenly Constantin put one of his paws over Hunter's mouth to get him to be quiet.

"Never mind that boy. Leave your bag by the door and see if you have any dry clothes. I will get you a towel."

Hunter nodded doing as instructed. Thankfully, his bag was mostly waterproof. The bottom section may be soaked but the clothes on the top were still dry. He grabbed a shirt, socks, underwear, and a pair of pants without a hole in them. He decided to not worry about the jacket and tie right now. Not that he packed many ties anyway.

'How did I grab ties but not a first aid kit?' Hunter asked himself questioning his priorities. He took the jacket and tie he was currently wearing off putting the soaked clothes next to the bag.

"Here you go." Constantin was now back with two towels next to him. One most likely for himself.

"Thank you." Was all Hunter could say at the moment as he grabbed a towel and started to dry himself off. He also took off his shoes and socks so as to not track in more water.

Constantin just nodded and then proceeded to tell Hunter where the bathroom was so he could change into dryer clothes. Hunter went down the hallway going to the first door where the bathroom was. He quickly finished drying off and put on the dry clothes feeling much better already. As he opened to door however Constantin was already there waiting for him.

"Hold on now boy. Let me see that knee."

Oh right. His knee. He was so glad to just be out of the rain he almost forgot about the pain he was feeling before. He pulled up the pant leg showing the cat the injured knee.

"Hmmm. Well, it looks like the rain washed it already, but you better make sure. There are some paper towels next to the sink." Constantin pointed to the paper towels. Hunter grabbed a couple and got them damp. He went to apply them to his wound, but it only made the pain worse because he applied them too hard. Hunter hissed dropping the paper towels.

"Don't get these wounds often, do you?" Constantin asked. It sounded more like a statement though. Constantin picked up the paper towels and gently applied them to Hunter's knee. He hissed again but not has badly. Hunter sighed letting the cat do his thing.

"Thank you. A-and I'm sorry. Not about the water. No wait I am sorry about the water but that's not what I'm apologizing for! No wait that came out wrong! I mean-"

"It is too early for this young man. So, say what you need to say or be quiet." Constantin sighed.

"I'm sorry about my Au-Cruella. When she threw you into that cat carrier. And for how I treated you. I don't know what I was doing that day."

"Are you done?"

"Yes."

"Then apology accepted." Constantin stated.

"Wh-wait really? Just like that? You know what I did right?" Hunter asked confused.

"I am not one to hold grudges young man. And while I may have been annoyed by you and that woman's antics that day, even I don't think I am the one who you should be looking for forgivness from." Hunter knew he was referring to the pups, which was also a reason for coming to their house. As he spoke Constantin got some bandages from one of the drawers. He handed it to Hunter who peeled off the back. "And yes, I know very well what happened that day. I know you helped kidnap those pups." At that remark Hunter winced hoping he wasn't about to be berated or thrown out. "But I also know that you risked everything to save them in the end. And that you didn't know the full extent of what that woman was intending."

"How-"

"One of the pups, Deepak, told me everything. He is one of the few I tolerate more than the others. He told me all about the time in the container with you and all the others."

Of course, he did. Well, that's just one less thing to explain then. But he still had a major question. "Okay I can understand the whole not holding grudges. But why are you helping me? Why are you being so…nice?"

"I live by the teachings of the Great Guru Miaow. Which states that all animals must be treated with kindness and respect. And humans are technically animals. Plus, even I have a soft spot for children like so many other animals do. Even if we live on our own." With Constantin's help Hunter got the Bandage to cover his scrap and pulled down the pant leg. It was like it wasn't even there. Except for the part where it still hurt to walk.

"On that note, you are not going back out in that weather. Especially at this time of night. You'll be lucky enough to not have a cold."

"Oh no. I couldn't possibly stay. I've already overstayed my welcome. I-I should be going." Hunter, not wanting to be a berdun, tried to leave but Constantin stopped him by grabbing him by the pant leg.

"And just where do you think you are going? I won't ask why you are here in the first place, but if you want to go the Dalmatian's home, then I suggest you wait till morning. I don't want to be woken up by screaming."

"How did you-"

"You seemed to have walked down here on your own carrying a bag with barely anything other than clothes. It doesn't take a genius to connect the dots. Like I said I won't pry, mostly because I am too tired. I have some mats that you can use to sleep on. They won't be the most comfortable. But it's better than sleeping in the street."

"T-thank you." Hunter stumbled not sure if what was happening was real. He felt like he couldn't say no even if he really wanted to. It was clear this was no trouble to Constantin, so he accepted the invitation. "I'll take my stuff to my bag."

"Please do so. And make sure to get some sleep. Those pups like to get up at the crack of dawn most days."

Hunter picked up his wet clothes and took them back to his bag. He walked into the living room where he saw the mat's Constantin mentioned. They were piled on top of each other to make it as comfortable as possible. There was also a pillow and blanket just big enough for him to use.

"I hope you find these accommodating. I know it is not much." Constantin said walking in.

"Oh no this is fine. I showed up here unannounced in the first place." Hunter replied. True he may have been used to a more luxuries lifestyle, but he was for all intents homeless. He couldn't afford to complain.

"Very well. Enjoy the night. You can go over to the Dalmatians as soon as you are ready in the morning."

"I know I've said this a lot. But thank you. You have no idea how much this means to me."

"Just promise me you won't be running out in the ran like this again and we can call it even." Constantin compromised.

"Deal." Hunter agreed. He laid down on the mats almost instantly falling asleep. He didn't realize how tired he actually was.

(The Next Morning)

Hunter woke up looking around the room he was in. He almost freaked out before remembering the events of the previous night. He looked at the time and saw it was somewhere around eight or nine. Maybe it was because he just woke up, but he had trouble reading the clock on the wall.

For one of the first times since…that night…Hunter actually had a decent rest. Most nights he couldn't sleep and others he kept having nightmares. Maybe it's because he was so tired, maybe because he wasn't sleeping in that house. But didn't even have any nightmares!

"Hopefully, that continues." He said to himself.

He quickly gathered his stuff while looking around the house for Constantin. For some reason he could not seem to find said cat. 'He must still be asleep somewhere.' Hunter thought. Deciding he could talk to him later Hunter grabbed his stuff and walked over to the Dalmatian house.

"Here goes nothing." He said aloud knocking on the door. He suddenly realized that he couldn't hear anything inside. No barks, yells, nothing. Waiting for the door to open was some of the most nerve-wracking things ever to him.

He knocked again but still no one answered. 'Are they at the park?' He thought. He decided to go back to Constantin's place and wait when suddenly, the door slowly opened.

Hunter turned back around looking inside the house. All the lights were off, the only source of light being from the light outside.

"Hello? Anybody home?" Hunter asked hesitantly walking inside. This doesn't count as breaking and entering, does it?

As soon as he stepped fully inside the door slammed shut behind him making him whine out in fear! He turned back to the door walking away from it while facing it. The scare caused him to go down to his hands and knees. It was only dark for a second however as an ominous red glow started to fill the room.

"Uhhh…hey if anyone is home, I think there is something wrong with your door!" Hunter yelled hoping someone would answer. Where was anybody? What was going on?! Hunter backed up so much he reached the staircase taking deep breaths.

He stood back up on his feet looking around. Looking at the wall of family photos he saw many of the pups that lived here. Some he even recognized. But then he stopped when he saw something out of place.

The claw mark Cruella made. Including the scratch along the photo of the great, great grandparents of the family. It was too high for him to reach but he tried to anyways. The red glow of the room causing it to look more…freighting than it was. Suddenly, the photo started to crack even more! The cracks traveled upward completely covering the dogs' faces! The rest of the photo breaking off and falling on the floor in front of him! At the sound of the shattering class he jumped from the stairs to in front of the entreway to the living room.

He then felt something under his foot sounding like it was deflating. Looking down he saw he stepped on a chew toy that had not been there before. Did someone drop it when he wasn't looking? "H-hello? Anyb-body here?" Hunter asked shaking. He wanted to run back to the door, but he had a feeling it would not open.

Hunter stepped off the chew toy, the squeak came out awfully slow and sounded like it echoed around the house. Breaking the cursed silence.

Suddenly he heard what sounded like a dog's whine. And it wasn't him that time. Looking down the hallway he saw a very small pup come into view. It was Dorothy! What was she doing all by herself?

"Hey Dorothy. You remember me, right? Hunter?" Hunter was so happy to see a familiar face. He was still confused what was going on though.

Instead of Dorothy coming to greet him however, she started to growl at him in fear! Hunter, now more confused than ever started to back away from the pup hoping to show that he wasn't a threat. Not this time.

"Wait, wait! I'm not here to hurt you." Hunter tried to reason. He knows he's probably not the pup's favorite person right now, but something seemed off here. Suddenly Dorothy ran into the living room disappearing in the darkness.

"Dorothy!" Hunter yelled watching her disappear. He was so panicked he almost didn't catch a bunch of new voices talking to each other.

"Did someone scare you, Dorothy?" A voice asked in the darkness. It sounded familiar. Then another voice spoke.

"I think someone did Dizzy. And they should have known better." The more the voices spoke the louder they got sounding to sound strange. Almost demonic. Most of them coming out as barks.

"Yeah. Because if you hurt one of us." Suddenly two pairs of eyes could be seen in the darkness. DeeDee and Dizzy making themselves known. Their voices combining into one. Hunter started to back away until he hit the opposite wall feeling trapped. As he backed up more and more eyes became visible each one looking more and more angry. Hunter thought about going up the stairs, but one glance up told him that was a no go. As he saw four specific dogs waiting at the top of them blocking the path. The parents were two of them. The other two were the oldest siblings Dylan and Dolly! Hunter looked back in front of him suddenly seeing all the pups all showing their fangs, their eyes all redder than the room, and ready to pounce! He ran up the stairs forgetting about the other four and was stopped by Dylan! Dolly was right behind him. The other pups were directly behind him trapping him! He looked at Dylan hoping to plead to let him go. But he didn't get a chance.

"YOU HURT ALL OF US!" All the voices said at once. But to Hunter it looked like all of them came from Dylan! Hunter moved his arms up to protect himself screaming for his life, waiting for the attacks to come…but nothing happened.

Confused he willed himself to look up seeing that he was no longer in the Dalmatian house, but now in the shipping container!

"No-no anywhere but here! Let me out! Let me out!" Hunter yelled running to the front of the container. He started banging on the doors so panicked he couldn't even stop to think how he got here! "Someone let me out please!" He begged starting to cry.

"It's the end of the world!" Hunter turned around at the sound of that voice startled enough to jump. Behind him was one of the Dalmatian pups. The one that had more black fur than white. The one that he first tried to capture when he got out of this thing. He was so shocked the dog was here he couldn't even say anything.

"It's the end of the world!" He repeated.

"What is that supp-"

"FOR YOU!" The dog suddenly yelled disappearing. Alone again Hunter heard the walls of the container starting to creak. Suddenly the walls started closing in!

"Help. Someone help!" Hunter started screaming again. Hunter collapsed in the center of the container unable to do anything but panic. Tears streaming down his face. He was breathing heavy feeling like he was suffocating! He tried to make himself as small as possible as the walls started to get closer and closer when suddenly, the creaking stopped.

Looking up Hunter saw he was no longer in the container. But in a dog kennel! Looking around he saw he was not only in a dog Kennel, but on the same boat Cruella took him and the pups too! His kennel was directly facing the machine that she was going to use on the puppies! For some reason it was the only thing he could see the rest of the room in complete darkness.

"Well, well. Look who finally decided to WAKE UP!" An all too familiar voice said walking into the room.

"Nononononononono! You aren't supposed to be here! You got arrested! You can't be here! You can't!" He yelled looking at the most terrifying person he would ever know. Cruella De Vil.

"My dear, useless child. Did you really think I could be held for that long? Hahahaha. The police were only a temporary roadblock. I told you had not seen the last of me. Honestly, you should not be surprised. I thought I trained you better than that? What was the point of you really?"

"You aren't real! I refuse to believe you are real! This is-is a dream! No! A nightmare!"

"My dear boy, do you not believe your own eyes? A demonstration is in order then." Suddenly his Kennel was moved by an unseen force moving him closer to the conveyor belt!

"You're-you aren't going to-" Hunter couldn't finish his sentence.

"Kill you? Not yet child. I thought you just deserved a front row seat!" Suddenly the rest of the room lit up and while he couldn't see them, he could hear all of the puppies trapped in kennels of their own!

"B-but I…we stopped you! I helped save them! How did you capture them again?"

"Save them? Dear sweat Hunter. You helped capture them in the first place!" Cruella suddenly popped her head in front of the kennel causing Hunter to back up once again tears once again going down his face.

"I just felt that you should get to see your hard work pay off." Cruella continued laughing above all the dog barks and growls. She walked to one of the kennels grabbing three puppies all tied up so they could not run. The puppies were DeeDee, Dizzy, and…Dorothy. Three of the youngest pups and ones he knew the most.

"No! No please stop Aunty. They don't deserve this! St-stop!"

"Oh it is far too late for that my child. I hope you are ready to say goodbye!" Cruella said placing all three on the belt. All three looked scared for their lives but did not say a thing.

Hunter started to try to hit this cage hoping to get out like before, but he couldn't get through!

"No. Don't do this!" He yelled as DeeDee and Dizzy were both sucked in disappearing in the machine! Dorothy was next. "No!" He yelled again trying to hit the cage one more time. With no results he looked at Dorothy who looked more sad then afraid. Like she was disappointed.

"I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!" He yelled as Dorothy disappeared.

"A little late to ask for forgiveness don't you think?" Cruella joked. "You crack me up child. But enough of that. Since this is so hard for you. Why don't you go next?" Suddenly Cruella opened the kennel and grabbed Hunter by his hair throwing him into the machine!

"Nonononononono!" Was all Hunter could yell as he entered the machine.

"Noooooooo!" Hunter yelled waking up for real this time. He was in a cold sweat breathing so heavy you think he was drowning!

"It was just a nightmare. None of that was true." He told himself. But even he didn't believe himself. It seemed so real. Tears were running down his face and he could not stop it.

At this point he lost track of the nightmares he has had since that night. Although none of them have ever been that intense before. That was new.

Suddenly he heard the sound of…tiny symbols? They sounded calming and were enough of a distraction he looked over to where the sound came from. Sitting in front of the back door, was Constantin who had the tiny symbols in one hand each.

"I see you are finally awake. I could tell you were having a nightmare and was trying to wake you up or calm you down but nothing seemed to be working. Are you okay my boy?"

"I-I think so. I've been having nightmares for a while now. It's no big deal though. I can handle it." Normally he wouldn't admit having nightmares, but he couldn't hide what just happened to Constantin. That being said he wasn't going to tell him what the nightmares were.

"If you insist. Now do you still plan to go to the Dalmatians?"

"I don't really have anywhere else to go." Hunter said without thinking. "I mean! I don't have plans to go anywhere else! Yeah, that's what I meant. Sorry still trying to wake up." He chuckled at the end hoping his host would buy it. He did let out a yawn as well that was actually genuine.

"I see. Well before you go would you like anything to eat?"

Hunter's stomach growled and he realized he hadn't eaten anything since lunch the previous day. "No thanks. I have some food in my bag. I should get going. Thank you for the hospitality." After that nightmare he didn't want to stay much longer. While he was sure Constantin had good intentions, Hunter didn't want to talk about it. He didn't like to think of the nightmares he has.

"You are quite welcome my boy. My door is open at any time. If the nightmares continue you can always come to me. Deepak may be able to help as well."

'Deepak…oh right one of the pups. Hunter could only guess he must know some techniques to help calm people down if Constantin suggested him.

'I'm going to have a lot of explaining to do.' He thought.

He still wasn't sure if he should go the Dalmatian house. He caused them so much pain. Sure, everything turned out right in the end, but would he really be accepted? Maybe…no it was definitely because of the nightmare. He was starting to have second thoughts. Would it really be right to do this? While he knows none of it was real, he wanted to make sure the pups he saw in his dream were okay. The three that got trapped in the machine especially.

He wasn't expecting them to just straight up take him in. That would be highly unreasonable and selfish. But he had nowhere else to go. He needed a place to stay to figure things out. And while Constantin's offer was nice, Hunter was having trouble trying not to start chasing him randomly. The dog instincts still very strong.

He could try living in the streets, but he had a feeling that would not work out. He only had so much money and was too young to get a job. Not that he would now where to start looking for one anyways.

Looking through his bag he grabbed a couple granola bars eating them outside. It was a much sunnier day compared to the previous night. Hunter was glad it was no longer raining. He hated getting wet when it wasn't for the purpose of getting a shower. And he felt that way before getting trapped in the container.

For the actual second time he walked up to the Dalmatian's house. Already he could hear the chaos from all the pups. Only for him he hears what they are actually saying instead of just barks and yells. Most of what he hears however is laughter (and one pup just yelling dig over and over). They really are a happy family. So many siblings. He always wondered what it would be like to have a have an older or younger sibling. He was also just glad that they were actually home. His nightmare making him think they wouldn't be.

He started to reach for the door, still hesitating if he should knock or not. His biggest fear right now was being rejected. And while it sounded crazy, being rejected by these dogs-no, by his friends. It would hurt far more than being disowned by that woman.

Taking a deep breath, he finally got the courage to knock. Hoping someone would hear him. And hopefully it would Dylan or Dolly. Any of the other pups and he may scare them.

"Dylan! Someone's at the door!" A voice yelled. That was definitely Dolly.

"Well can you get it?! I'm trying to help Dawkins fix the kibble machine again!" He heard Dylan yell back.

"Is someone expecting a package?" A voice asked. It was one of the younger pups. The voice sounded vaguely familiar.

"I don't think so DeeDee." Ah there it is. The twins. Hunter knew he would probably be hearing them call him 'Mr. Funny Face' a lot. And he honestly didn't mind. It was kind of funny. And he liked it better than his last name.

"Fine I'll get it!" Dolly responded. Okay. He was hoping to speak to Dylan first. But if he remembered correctly Dolly was basically second in command. Just not as serious as her brother. Hopefully, he wouldn't be met with fear or hatred. They left him on…good enough terms he guessed.

Hunter waited for the door to open but nothing happened at first. He then hears something small hit the door and looked down to the mail slot. He met eye to eye with whom he assumed was Dolly.

"Uhh….Hi." He chuckled awkwardly. He guessed he shouldn't have been surprised that Dolly would check who was at the door before opening it. It hasn't even been a week since the whole thing with Cruella. "Can I talk to you? I'm not here to cause trouble." He pleaded.

"Uhhh…Hi. Give me one sec." Dolly answered back just as awkward. Closing the mail slot. Honestly, Hunter was expecting worst. Granted he figured confusion was better than straight up fear. He would react almost the same as Dolly if the roles were reversed.

Dolly was gone for only a few moments before the door opened this time her and Dylan both coming out. He also noticed that it got noticeably quiet. He could only guess why.

'Okay Hunter just try to act natural.' He told himself.

"Uhh…hey guys. Been a while. How are you doing?" 'Oh my gosh this is even more awkward than I thought it would be!' He thought.

"Heyyy, Hunter. What brings you down here?" Dylan asked both confused and a little suspicious. He couldn't blame the two. They were the only ones that were not immediately captured nor were they there when he told his feeling to the others. But if one of them told their neighbor then surely one of them told these two about it.

'How much do I tell them? Will they even believe me?' Hunter thought panicking. He realized he never really planned this passed knocking on the door.

"I-uhhh-I…How do I put this? I wanted-no, needed to talk to you." He explained trying to figure out how to start.

"Would you like to come in?" Dolly asked. That was unexpected. He didn't think they would invite him inside. At least not until he told them more about why he was here. He realized that both had been staring at the duffel bag however and they must have connected some dots.

"If you don't mind. I-I don't mean to intrude." He said trying to remember his mannerisms. He walked in with both Dylan and Dolly following right behind him. He looked at the photos and other things covering the wall taking in the look of the house for the first time. True he has been inside before but never like this. He noticed that it was also noticeably quiet. He could hear faint voices, but they sounded like they were outside now.

He stopped when he saw a specific part of the wall. The one where Cruella clawed through not just the wallpaper but into the wall itself. And then through a framed photo of the very two dogs that started this family so many years ago. The crack making it look like their heads were cut off from their bodies. Hunter winced thinking back to his nightmare. Suddenly he heard a squeak and jumped! Looking down he saw he stepped on a chew toy. But the squeak was normal, and no dog came to retrieve it.

"Sorry about that. Hard to keep those things in one area." Dolly joked.

Hunter nodded in understanding trying to calm himself down. He looked back up at the crack on the frame Dylan noticing.

"Yeah. Been meaning to get that frame replaced. We ordered one but it hasn't arrived yet." Dylan explained. Hunter could only stare trying to keep his tears back. How did he allow things to get as far as they did? Should he really be here?

"Wow. You okay dude?" Dolly asked.

*Sniff. * "Y-yeah. Just a lot of stuff going through my head right now. Where are all the others?" In truth he was happy it was just the three of them. He didn't need a whole audience to be watching him.

"We had Dawkins take them outside. They don't know you are here…yet." Dylan responded.

"No offense but we wanted to be on the safe side. You ended up saving us, and more importantly Dorothy, in the end. So, we are giving you a benefit of a doubt. No offense." Dolly continued.

"No no I understand. To be honest I'm surprised your trusting me this much."

"Well, the pups did explain everything you told them while in the shipping container. And on that note, we would like to apologize for you being trapped for so long. We assumed someone would get you out much sooner." Dolly semi apologized. They weren't sorry for trapping him, which was understandable. But they didn't think he would be trapped for six months!

"It's alright. You had no way of knowing. Even I didn't see that coming." Hunter couldn't help but smirk. It was a sad smirk. But a smirk, nonetheless.

"Yeah. I can't believe a family member would do that to you. It's honestly almost impossible for me to comprehend." Hunter thought of what Dylan just said. He knows what that woman did was not normal, but it was all he knew.

"Okay to hopefully get away from the sad talk. Why are you here Hunter? And what's with the bag?" Dolly asked.

Hunter once again took a deep breath turning to face the two oldest pups.

"I've come to ask for help. I-I don't have a home right now. My Au-Cruella can't pay for the house I live in being in jail and all. I'm not sure if she even would if she could. The police are investigating my home for any evidence of all the crimes she has committed. They said they were going to take me to any relatives I may have but I don't have any! I d-don't h-have any family or friends to go to. And I don't want to go to an orph-…an orphanage." The more he explained what was going on the harder it was to keep the tears back. Stuttering a couple times holding it back. While talking he sat down on the bottom of the stairs feeling like he wouldn't be able to stand.

Dylan and Dolly listened closely not sure how to act at first. In the end they both nuzzled up to him to give him some kind of comfort.

"I-I know it is a lot to ask. But I was hoping I could ask to stay here for a little bit? Just until I can find out what to do. I brought some clothes and snacks and even some money. Enough I could go out and pay for my own food and I completely understand if you say no but I really don't have anywhere else to go and-"

"Wow, wow slow down kid." Dolly interrupted. Hunter was starting to talk almost too fast and sounded like he was about to hyperventilate.

"Give me and Dolly a second. We'll be just over there if you need us." Dylan told him as the two walked into the living room making sure to whisper.

"We aren't really considering this are we?" Dylan asked.

"I mean why not? He did save the pups."

"After trying to kidnap them! Twice!" Dylan seethed through his teeth. "It's because he helped saved us that I'm being nice, but can we really trust him?" He reasoned.

"Well, we can safely rule out him trying it again. You heard him. He doesn't have anywhere to go. And Cruella is in jail, so he has no reason to try to capture us again. You remember what Da Vinci and the others told us. He just needs some help."

"Why do you trust him so much?"

"I don't know. I think it's more like I feel bad for him. He obviously had to walk down here. And I remember getting to that building he lived in. It's not exactly a short walk."

"So, you feel bad for him because he had to walk?" Dylan asked sarcastically.

"No! I just-…Clearly the kid is going through a lot. No one can act that well. Besides, we obviously need to talk to mom and dad about this before anything concrete is decided. But he did save us. The least we can do is help him until then. And I know some of the pups have been wondering about him. All of them were there when he found out what was going to happen to us. He completely broke down. According to Da Vinci and Dawkins."

"Why is this one of the few times you are actually logical?" Dylan sighed. He knew his sister had a point, but he still wasn't sure. Don't get him wrong he wanted to help Hunter. But letting him stay in the house was a very big leap.

"Hey!" Dolly exclaimed a little offended. Her brother wasn't wrong but still. "Little too far there bro."

"Sorry, sorry. Just a lot going through my head right now."

"C'mon bro. We can keep an eye on him. Plus, you can have another space buddy." Dolly persuaded.

*Sigh* "Okay. He can stay, FOR NOW. But Mom and Dad get the final say. And he is on a short leash. He steps out of line and he is gone."

"A little harsh but fair enough. Why don't we let the pups inside. Like I said a lot of them have actually been worried about him. DeeDee and Dizzy and even Dorothy have been asking about him almost every day since that night."

"I didn't realize Dorothy could speak in full sentences now." Dylan joked.

"You know what I mean. Now let's go welcome our guest."

While the two siblings were talking Hunter sat at the steps nervous about what they could be saying. He would completely understand if they told him to leave. He was surprised they were considering it at all. Even though he isn't expecting them to say yes, he's not sure what he will do if they say no. They don't even know about how he has actually been here since last night. Well at Constantin's that is.

After what felt like an eternity but was actually just two minutes the two siblings finally came back.

"Okay Hunter. We have come to a decision." Dylan started slowly. Hunter stayed calm on the outside but on the inside, he was a complete mess.

'OhgodtheyaregoingtosaynoandI'mgoingtohavetogotoanorphanageorliveonthestreetwhatamIgoingtodo-!' His mind started assuming the worse thinking he already knew the outcome. How useless was he? Can't even get a home with the only people (animals?) he could call friends?

"We decided that you can stay. For a little bit."

'What?' Hunter thought. "Come again?" He asked.

"You can spend the day with us. Think of it as…a playdate. Our parents get the final say on if you can stay longer." Dolly explained.

Hunter started to calm down feeling so relieved. Letting out a breath he didn't realize he was holding. "You really mean it?" He asked not able to hold back his tears. He noticed that Dylan seemed to relax a little, like he just realized something. Both pups nodded and Hunter was filled with something he hasn't felt in so long. Happiness and… a sense of belonging.

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! You won't regret this!" He said pulling them into a hug.

"Gah! Hunter can't b-breath!" Dylan exclaimed. Dolly doing the same. Hunter quickly let go apologizing profusely.

"I'm so so so sorry!" He panicked. Were they going to toss him out now? He didn't mean to hurt them! He should just leav-

"It's okay dude. You were excited that's all. All the pups hugging us at once does about the same." Dolly chuckled interuppting his train of thought.

"And to reiterate what we said before, you can stay for the day. Any longer is up to our parents." Dylan reminded.

"Of course. I understand." Hunter agreed. That logic made since.

"Okay now that this conversation is done; how about we go see the others outside? Some of the pups have actually been worried about you since we last saw each other. Dolly explained.

"Worried...about me? Really?"

"Yeah. You really had an impact on some of them when you were all trapped. DeeDee and Dizzy have especially been asking."

"Those are the two that keep calling 'Mr. Funny Face' right?" Hunter chuckled.

"Yep!" Dylan laughed. "Dorothy has also been worried. You helped all of us, but you protected her when we couldn't. I…I don't think we could ever repay you for that. I know I said it before but thank you."

"It was no big deal." Hunter said trying to downplay it.

"No big deal!? Dude, you stopped that crazy Aunty of yours from…well you know. You were amazing!" Dolly cheered.

"Don't call her that." Hunter mumbled.

"What?" Dolly asked not sure if she heard him correctly.

"Cru-That woman is no longer family to me. She left me as good as dead even before that night. I try not to think of her any more than necessary."

"O-okay. If that's what you want, then we understand." Dylan agreed. The back door is just up ahead. Hunter nodded heading to the door. Dylan and Dolly, a few feet behind.

"So still unsure about our decision?" Dolly asked.

"Okay I'll admit he does seem to be in a lot of trouble. I don't think I've ever seen a human so emotional. We may have to ask Deepak for help on that note. And with what he said just now…maybe we don't have to worry about him. I still don't one-hundred percent trust him, but he hasn't done anything to not give him a chance." Dylan reasoned.

"That's fair. Now let's go tell the puppies before we reintroduce Hunter. Don't want them to freak out."

"Agreed. Hey Hunter! Before you go outside, we want to tell the pups first." Dylan stopped the boy before he could open the door.

"Oh. Yeah, that makes since. I don't want to scare them." Hunter chuckled awkwardly.

"Well hopefully they have the opposite reaction. Like we said many of them have been very worried about you."

"If you say so." Hunter didn't really know how to respond to that. They were worried about him? Even after everything he did? Why? He didn't deserve it. He honestly didn't think he deserved this. But there was not much else he could do.

"I'll go out and tell them. You two stay here." Dylan said walking outside making sure to leave Hunter out of view before closing it.

"Sooooo, I noticed you cut your hair a little." Dolly commented not sure what else to say.

"Uhhh. Yeah. It was a little too long. I really like it like this though. I just don't want to go back to that style I had before."

"Why? Too boring." Dolly asked.

"…Sure, let's go with that." Hunter sighed. In truth he didn't want to cut his hair any shorter for a couple reasons. He didn't know how to do it himself for one. And because he didn't want to be reminded of his old life. He kept his hair like that because She wanted it like that. Something about 'keeping appearances.' He didn't mind at the time, but now that he was free, he wanted more control over himself. So, while it didn't seem like much, it meant everything to Hunter that he could make decisions like that without consequence now.

If Dolly wanted to ask more questions, she didn't get a chance as the door suddenly opened with Dylan and Dawkins standing in front of it. Hunter and Dolly stepped out all eyes on Hunter.

Glancing at all of them he saw many…mixed reactions. There were many that seemed happy if not excited to see him. Others seemed, uncertain for a lack of a better term. They didn't seem to be afraid or have hate in their eyes. But instead, didn't seem to not be sure how to react. A few looked understandably tense. Hunter hoped that wouldn't last.

He made eye contact with one pup he almost forgot about earlier. The one that showed up the container in his nightmare. He would make sure to apologize to him specifically along with DeeDee and Dizzy. He owed all of them an apology of course but he took advantage of those three the most. He also scanned the crowd of pups for Dorothy want to make sure she was okay.

"Uhh. Hi everyone." Hunter said smiling the best he could. "I-I just wanted to say that I'm sorry about everything that happened. And that I hope that we could be friends?" Was that too soon? To direct? He didn't know what else to say!

"Also, Hunter is going through some things right now and needs our help. So, for the at least the day he is going to be hanging out with us. Any longer will be up to mom and dad."

Everything was silent at first. Too silent for Hunter's liking. Were they going to reject him? Surely not all of them. Didn't Dylan and Dolly say that a lot of them had been asking about him?

"Hi! Heheh." Suddenly the silence was cut by a young voice saying hi to Hunter followed by a small laugh. At first it took Hunter a moment to recognize the voice. Right as he made the connection, he felt a small ball of fur suddenly cling to his leg. He looked down and so none other than Dorothy, the youngest pup of them all, hugging his leg! Seeing she was not only all right, but happy to see him made him shed a tear of joy.

"I told you Dorothy had been asking about him." Dolly teased Dylan.

Without saying a word Hunter kneeled down on his opposite leg (thankfully Dorothy was hugging the one that has the scrapped knee, so he didn't have to worry about putting pressure on that) and petted her small head glad to see she was doing alright.

Suddenly two more balls of fur jumped onto him also clinging to the same leg has Dorothy. "Mr. Funny Face!" Dizzy exclaimed.

"You came back!" DeeDee said equally as excited. Hunter laughed at the two happy to see that haven't changed at all. They were all okay. All of them were.

Seeing three of the youngest pups unafraid to approach Hunter and how Hunter reacted to them, the tension that was so thick you could cut it with a knife, went down considerably.

"You know what this calls for right Dolly?" Dylan asked mischievously.

"Why I believe I do dear brother." Dolly replied. Hunter looked up at the two of them not liking the way they said that. What were they planning?

"Group Hug!" Both older siblings yelled before jumping out of the way. Dawkins included.

"Hug? Hug? Hug!" He heard several puppies say at once.

'Oh no.' Hunter thought one second too late. "No-no wait!" But it was too late. In seconds there was a sea of Dalmatians approaching him quickly burying him under what felt like a mountain of fur and paws! Even if he tried to move, he could not with the three previous pups holding down his leg. Hunter started to tremble but quickly remembered that this wasn't his nightmare. They weren't actually going to hurt him. Not on purpose that is. He realized that many were trying to reach for him to give him a hug, only to get tangled up with each other. He grabbed DeeDee, Dizzy and Dorothy and brought them out of the pile of puppies careful not to hurt any of them.

He stuck out his head so he could actually breath looking at Dylan and Dolly who were both smirking at him. "You did that on purpose." He moaned.

"It is something you will inevitably have to get used to." Dawkins chimed in. "Assuming you stay longer than a day that is."

"And that was because of the hug you gave us earlier. We warned you." Dolly laughed. The three pups all joined in nuzzling Hunter's head.

"I really hope you get to stay longer." Dizzy commented.

"Me too!" DeeDee agreed. Dorothy just laughed unable to say anything else.

He would never admit this to any of them. But the hug felt nice. Even if all his bones were being crushed. He couldn't remember the last time he ever had any hug. Much less one like this.

"Okay everyone hop off. He needs to breath!" Dylan commanded while laughing.

Almost as quickly as they got in the hug all the pups went their separate ways most going back inside.

"So, what now?" Hunter asked as he was finally able to stand, dusting himself off.

"Just hang out." Dolly said as if it was obvious.

"Yeah, all of the pups have different interests. Just try talking to them." Dylan said.

"I also know that you like space like Dylan and myself. I would suggest checking out the treehouse if Dylan is okay with it." Dawkins added.

Hunter looked at Dylan who nodded and the two walked over to the treehouse. Just from the outside he could see a tire swing, a bucket to bring things up, (including some of the smaller pups) and…was that a telescope?! He thought he wouldn't see one again!

He followed Dylan up the stairs making sure to be careful not to put too much pressure on them. They were made for the intentions of dogs using them, not humans. The two made it to the top where Hunter saw it was actually very spacious. He saw the same telescope from outside, along with some other space stuff like little model rockets being hung by strings. There were also some pillows here and there along with a mat to make the place look cozier.

"I assumed the treehouse was for everyone. Is it just yours?" He asked Dylan.

"Well, anyone can use it yes. I just happen to be the one that uses the inside the most so it sort of became mine as a default. Hence all the space decorations. And because of this baby." He said grabbing the telescope. It's not as impressive as the one back at your place-" Dylan stopped realizing what he was saying too late. He looked at Hunter hoping he didn't make him upset. "Sorry. I didn't mean to bring that up."

Hunter took a deep breath trying not to let his emotions get to him too bad. "No it's okay. Would it be okay of I use it from time to time?" He asked trying to move on with the conversation. He loved stargazing. Right next to taking photos. Those were the only two things he had of his old life that he wanted to keep. He thought his love of space would be lost without anything to properly use to study the stars but now thanks to Dylan he had a way.

"From one stargazer to another you can use it whenever you want." Dylan said. He let any of the pups use it with supervision but not many of them other than Dawkins liked to use it that often. And he knows how much Hunter likes this stuff.

"Thank you." Hunter said giving another genuine smile.

"Think nothing of it." Dylan said.

Hunter watched as Dylan started to seem to move some of the pillows around seeming to make room. Hunter watched thinking about how Dylan seemed to first react when he got here. He could tell Dylan had seemed tense, not that he could blame him, but now he couldn't tell. Dylan seemed to change his attitude really quick.

"You don't trust me, do you?" Hunter bluntly asked his smile fading. "You just pity me."

Dylan winced not expecting Hunter to ask that. "Was I that obvious back in the house?" He asked. Hunter waved his hand back and forth as to say a little bit. Dylan sighed sitting down on some of the pillows.

"I don't blame you if you do, I just thought I should ask caus-"

"I was being cautious earlier yes." Dylan interrupted Hunter before he got too far. "And I'm not trying to pity you. But like Dolly said earlier, some of the pups did tell us what happened when you were trapped with them. So knowing that and then you come here saying you are homeless, I can't help but feel bad. You saved us, many of the pups actually do like you, Dorothy straight up gave you a hug and before that night I'm pretty sure she wanted to make you into her new chew toy for obvious reasons. You haven't done anything to not lose my trust." Dylan slowly explained. Hunter listening very carefully nodding in agreement.

"But do know you are on a short leash. Try to kidnap or hurt any of my siblings, and I'll make sure you won't ever be near them again." Dylan warned. He didn't say it in a threatening way. He couldn't pull that off. He said it in the most neutral tone he could with a very serious face. Despite not trying to scare him, Hunter still whimpered a little from fright knowing the eldest pup meant it. And he was sure Dolly had similar sentiment. He remembered when the pups had him cornered in the container. If they were ready to fight then, he didn't want to test these two. Sure, he fought them before, but that was with his cat helping and he had the capture nets.

"I wouldn't dream of hurting any of them." Hunter quickly said. "I know it sounds crazy, but I've come to care about a lot of them since that night. I've…I've had nightmares where some of them got hurt so I was relieved to finally see them again."

"That's all I needed to hear." Dylan sighed also in relieve. "I really do hope we can help though. You wouldn't be the first street pup to be adopted in the family."

"Adopted?" Hunter asked confused.

"What? You didn't think all the puppies were from our parents, did you?"

"Well...I never really thought about it in all honesty." Hunter answered truthfully.

"Yep. It can be a bit confusing. I'm from my Mom's side. Before she met Dad, I only had fifteen siblings. Dolly had another fifteen siblings on Dad's side. They met and we all became a family. Mom and Dad started to adopt some more pups from shelters or off the street while also having fifteen more kids. Eventually we got the family you see today." Dylan explained.

Hunter quickly did the math in his head and his eyes went wide. That meant that only forty-five of the pups were actually related to the parents, and of that only thirty were related to the Mom! He knew from the DNA match that the Mom was from the side of the family that descended from the pups great, great grandparents. How much would have changed if he got the DNA of literally any of the other sixty-nine puppies! How he wished he did. But then again...she wouldn't be in jail if he did.

"Your parents really like kids." Hunter laughed not sure what else to say.

"You can say that again. With one being a nurse and the other a firedog, it isn't too surprising that they try to help as much as possible." Dylan laughed. "Speaking of the pups, why don't we get you accuantied with them? You have only really met a few of them after all.

'I have to meet almost ninety-nine puppies.' He thought in horror. Was it too late to leave? Probably. But he was really considering it.

'Here goes nothing.' He thought walking back into the house. Time to actually meet the Dalmatian family in its entirety.

And done! So yeah if this ending doesn't tell you, this is definitely going to be a longer story. I was originally planning on it being a one, maybe a two-shot story, but I think it is going to have to be longer to get the full story I want for it.

Hunter is with the Dalmatians! For now. This is one of the longest single chapters I have written, especially for a first chapter. Next chapter will have Hunter being formerly introduced to all the siblings and the parents. Do I actually mean all of them…probably. The main ones for sure, and thanks to wiki and YouTube I actually have a list of all the names of all the pups. If anyone has some request for any specific interactions let me know. I could use some ideas for so many characters.

I think it would be nice to have him interact with some of the pups outside of the main cast. So if anyone has some ideas for what some of the pups could do please leave a comment.

Also sorry if any of this seemed rushed. I am trying to wright this before my classes start again next week and I'm writing some other stories at the same time as this one. I just got a lot of inspiration to do this one and had to do it. But like I said this is the first time I wrote for any of these characters and especially one of my darker stories compared to what I have written. I was having a little trouble to decide how the pups should react to Hunter cause realistically a lot of them would be scared or hold a grudge against him, but he also saved them and they all felt bad for him during the container scene…so I decided that most probably are going to be okay with him, if not a little awkward at first, and have some specifically be more slow to trust him. Dylan was the hardest to wright cause I tired to have him between being sympathetic to Hunter and protective for his siblings making him feel a little out of character in my opinion but maybe I'm just looking too much into it.

And depending how many side characters I use, a lot of the pups will be based off of head cannons or what ideas I think fit the best. Again for the puppies outside of the main cast.

Please let me know what you think of this story and if I should continue it. (Let s be honest I'll continue it anyways)
