"Commodore Farro, what is the status of the Seventh?" Thrawn calm voice echoed across the bridge of the Star Destroyer Chimera. This was something many of the experienced officers appreciated. The Grand Admiral always radiated calm and control even when everything around them was on fire and he never talked around problems but tackled them head on. Just a few of the many reasons why every single soldier in the Seventh Fleet is so loyal to their Grand Admiral, despite his inhuman appearance. Den his blue skin and glowing red eyes that seem to look at and recognise everything and everyone couldn't be missed.

"All ships have safely emerged from hyperspace and reported in. The fleet has spread out in standard safe formation and awaits further orders. We will not be surprised by anything else, Admiral." replied Commodore Farro just as confidently, but Thrawn had known the woman long enough to know how to read her voice and therefore knew that the message she had sent to his office was and that they had accomplished something impossible.

The bridge of the Chimera was a model of efficiency despite the unfamiliar situation and the hidden but obvious nervousness of the officers. They were as their Grand Admiral would expect them to be and as the Grand Admiral himself was. Calm, focused and ready for anything.

Lieutenant Lohmar conversed with the other ships in a calm and measured voice, but he could see the sweat on his brow. He kept clenching his hands as if the gloves were uncomfortable. His eyes were not focused on one point. All this indicated fear of an unknown danger. He decided to nod encouragingly at the lieutenant. He swallowed, nodded back and went on with his work.

Lieutenant Perody's fingers tremble every time she passes over the weapons control console as if to point the weapons at some enemy for everyone's safety. This also indicates fear, as the instinct is to have a weapon at hand in case of danger. She managed to calm herself, however, by taking a deep breath.

Lieutenant Yve slid back and forth in her chair and her face was tense with stress.

"Lieutenant Yve?"

"Yes, Grand Admiral?" Her voice trembled slightly and her eyes widened, also showing obvious signs of fear.

"With Commander Skerrus and the other ships, organize a patrol for the fleet and one to investigate the system more closely."

"Yes, Grand Admiral." she now confirms much more firmly.

Lieutenant Commander Hammely was dealing with all of this the best. She was bent low over the sensor console, engrossed in her readings and measurements gathered as they traversed the Anomaly

Lieutenant Agral also looked highly concentrated. In his case, however, it was certainly due to the fact that he was piloting the enormous mass of a Sterzertör, which certainly ensured that he could think of nothing else.

He was very... relieved about the already completed refit, instead of the heavy dual turbo lasers they now carried the new heavyweight-barrel Occtublen turbo lasers. But the other guns were also brought up to date, which multiplied their firepower. The sensors were also revised and the latest software updates had already been installed and adapted by the crew, which is not unusual.

They have also been fitted with reinforced armor and modified reactor and shields, like the other Empire I-class Star Destroyers of the Seventh Fleet. But if he guesses correctly, none of this will help them solve the problem.

"What is the status of the planet ahead?" demanded Thrawn. The planet looked like Lothal, only without the cities, pollution, and chute holes. In short, what the planet looked like originally and without intelligent life.

"Grand Admiral, initial scans indicate that the crust has a similar composition and plate tectonics as the known Lothal. In addition, we can only say that the atmosphere is Breathable and that the plants consist of digestible proteins." Lieutenant Commander Hammerly reported from the sensors.

Thrawn let what had been said run through his mind. He had several tens of thousands of men and women to care for. Although mutiny would not be a problem thanks to his attitude and leadership qualities, even if word spread that they could not return, they all wanted and demanded leadership. He had to take care of one problem after another, it didn't matter in what order as long as he did something.

He continued to look outside and think. He had twenty-five Class I Star Destroyers, although all had already been modified and counted as Class II, of which he had forty, thanks to the Emperor who wanted the rebels dead on Lothal. In addition, two Interdictors became four and his escort ships were also multiplied. All in all, a whole reinforced sector fleet, which is more than excessive for a single planet. But very important for him are the four Acclamators with factory parts, workers and Sinar System engineers, along with their families, which were assigned to him despite the additional support for Project Stardust. Probably as part of a reward for his successful work. These are now more valuable than anything else he has at his disposal, after which come the few new orbital structures he brought with him, originally intended to support the Defender project on Lothal. They will make a lot of work easier for all of them in the future, especially in maintaining and building new ships and proper shipyards.

"Commodore, put the entire fleet on Condition Two." He said, still in his surreally calm voice.

"Right away, sir." Commodore Farro hastens to say, pointing to the still sweating Lohmar in the command pit, who just nods his head in acknowledgement.

"Now they will order the Acclamators to land and begin searching for usable resources. Then they will dispatch all of our escort ships and scout our surroundings by micro-jump." Thrawn gave his first orders after several minutes of pause.

Commodore Farro only managed a confused "Sir?".

"If I am guessing correctly we will be here for a long time. We should not waste precious time. But to be sure, you, Captain Marinith, will personally take care of the problem and look for a way to fix it."

"Yes Grand Admiral." he saluted and walked into the pit where he joined Commander Woldar and his senior officers to look at the problem. Captain Marinith was an experienced captain, blessed with unusual tenacity and a willingness to solve a problem. Overall, he was a good captain, which is why he chose him. He also already had a good connection with the crew. Besides, despite being a new post, he had already got used to him and didn't want to disappoint his Grand Admiral.

"Lieutenant Commander Vanto." he turned to his long-time companion.

"Yes, sir." He replied as usual

"Go down to the sensor evaluation and help the officers there, your skills will most likely find use there now."

"Of course." he nodded in acknowledgement and turned to leave.

Four days. That's how long they've been here.

Two days since they went off alert and everyone started to calm down. With the time off, the soldiers have had time to think and he has had to break up several brawls throughout the fleet. He knew better than to punish them too harshly, either giving them extra shifts or a few days in the brig.

After four days, Captain Marinith and Lieutenant Commander Vanto reported their findings.

"Grand Admiral," Captain Marinith began. "We have reviewed all the sensor logs and analyzed them in detail. The phenomenon that hit us has never been looked at before and as far as we know it copied us atom by atom and apparently..." he hesitated to say the words "Transported us to another dimension."

Vanto jumped to the slightly incredulous Captain's aid "It's been theorist early on that hyperspace can move us into other dimensions, but never has what we've experienced been recorded."

Captain Marinith, overcoming his shame, continued "Maybe because you can't tell until you've passed through the phenomenon. Heh the scientists back home would have killed for that data. However, we can say that a return will be impossible at least for now, maybe forever. Since we have to atomise and reassemble in the right dimension. The difficulties are self explanatory."

Thrawn thought about what the two had said and came to the conclusion that the other Thrawn was still alive and continuing the fight against the rebels, so a reverse would not be mandatory. It does, however, raise the question of what they are going to do here.

"Commodore Farro tells the workers they can set up the equipment. We'll be here for the foreseeable future."

"Yes, sir," confirms the woman addressed in an exhausted voice. Like everyone else, she had been hoping for a miracle, which now did not happen.

"You are dismissed," Thrawn said, ending the conversation. He turned back to the transparent bridge front.

Thrawn stood on the command bridge and looked at the first data the scout ships and astronomers had gathered and thought about his next steps. They were apparently in an unpopulated or sparsely populated part of the Galaxy or, more unlikely, the Galaxy was not yet populated. But they were even luckier because there were only a few anomalies to watch out for here, which made hyperspace navigation extremely easy and shortened the travel time between planets, because if they were going to stay here for a while, he didn't want to limit himself to just one planet. He had to protect his people above all, and making the Galaxy safer with their help was an advantage he was happy to use. He was suddenly jolted out of his thoughts by the voice of Lieutenant Lohmar.

"Sir, the Corvette Sorrow is reporting severe gravitational fluctuations and I quote 'it looks like someone is traveling through a self-generated tunnel, indicating FTL in real space.'" To his credit, his voice doesn't waver or let his confusion about how FTL in real space is possible shine through.

He looked down into the pit and saw his officers talking to each other and sharing confused looks when it was mentioned how a spaceship could reach FTL in real space.

"Confirm FTL gravitational anomaly." Lieutenant Commander Hammerly reported back to the sensors.

He briefly looked at the holoscreen to check the position of the ships. The Interdictor cruiser Interceptor is the one responsible for this area but it should also inform the other ships of the fleet.

"Alert level 1 for the entire fleet. The interceptor is to activate its Interdictor field. Commander Skerris is to prepare the Defender for launch. All ships in range are to attack and leave whatever ship is coming intact, it could tell us a lot about this galaxy."

His calm voice is a stark contrast to the flurry of activity that erupted at his words. As officers relay orders to various stations and pass on various decisions and instructions to and from other ships.

With the most important orders given, Thrawn retreats into the role of observer and watches as the Chimera, Harbinger, Brutality and Emancipator move to intercept Commodore Farro's orders and readies their ion guns for fire.

Behind him, he hears Captain Marinith giving instructions in a calm voice, but one that carries the tension of an impending battle. "Did we get an exit point from the Indersepter?"

"Aye, sir," Lieutenant Lohmar dutifully reports.

"Good, Agral bow to the target. Pyrondi reports to ion weapons crews and lock turbolasers, I don't need anyone with twitchy fingers. Yve tell Skerris not to attack until the ship is disabled."

"Position locked, sir."

"Ion weapons ready and turbolasers locked, sir."

"Skerrus has reluctantly confirmed, sir."

"Shields ready, sir."

"Reporting full combat readiness, sir." That voice belongs to Commander Woldar reporting from the command pit.

"Lieutenant Lohmar reports the status of the other ships." Ordered Farro in a calm voice.

"All ships report full combat readiness, sir."

"Good, then let them come."
