Chapter 1!

Yuri Anthology time!

As I've mentioned, this will contain both one shots, short stories, and side stories from existing fics, featuring a Fem!Izuku (Izumi) paired with different girls. That being said, might as well start off with Itsuka x Izumi, my favorite pair, and a side story from Tiger's Bite.

The side stories may be all over the place time wise as they could occur between chapters of their related fic or even past where the fic would have ended. It allows me to explore a lot about the relationships in different ways. The short stories and one shots may include ideas I've put in my idea fic, completely new ones, or challenge prompts as well.

At the time of posting this I probably don't have a lot of chapters for this yet and I'll be adding onto it sporadically since I have other fics to write for still but expect a number of different things coming here eventually. Some of the chapters may be shorter than what I usually do on regular fics but I hope to make up for that with the variety and of course the inevitably large amount of chapters that will come down the line.

Disclaimer: I don't own BNHA

Enjoy, more notes at the end!

Tiger's Bite Side Story 1: Dreaming Nights

*Itsuka POV*

Itsuka entered the plain looking coffee shop that had recently opened and took in the surrounding atmosphere. It wasn't a particularly big place but it had a bright but cozy feel to it with a decent number of booths to sit at as well as counter seats beside a large glass display of baked goods.

Hearing a shuffling somewhere in the back, Itsuka saw the owner appear and make a sour face.

"You know you're not going to get business with that kind of expression." the orange haired woman laughed as she made her way to sit at the counter. "I still don't get how you're not used to this."

"Ya don't get used ta stuff that grosses ya out." Izumi snorted as she paced around to get started on the coffee.

"You do," Itsuka stated flatly, "and we're in our mid 40's now Izumi, you'd think by now you'd have gotten that acquired taste." the orange haired woman waved a hand as she settled into her seat and propped her cheek in her palm.

"I'll never 'acquire' a taste fer bitter soup," the greenette grumbled with her back turned to Itsuka, "ya finish all yer work?" Izumi wondered as she turned and placed the cup of coffee on the counter, the green haired woman pinching her own nose just to annoy Itsuka.

"Yes, yes, I did all my responsibilities unlike you." Itsuka teased back, taking a content sip of her 'bitter soup' while Izumi bristled.

"I did plenty of my stuff I'll have ya know!" the greenette huffed with a pout, "I just don' have ta worry bout hero stuff anymore like tha rest of ya."

"Fair enough." Itsuka readily agreed with an amused smile, thinking on the other woman's words, "While you make the best coffee I do have to come all the way to Osaka to get it." the orange haired woman complained while taking another sip of her drink, though the complaint was more to poke at Izumi.

"Ya live in Osaka, tha hell are ya grumbling fer?!" the greenette kicked up a fuss, "Ya married an Osakan in fact!" Izumi followed up in an instant and Itsuka chuckled at how worked up her wife got.

"I suppose that's true." Itsuka mused, the greenette snorting at her response, as she leaned back into her chair and quietly let out a sigh.

"What's on yer mind?" the green haired woman asked from behind the display case, shifting some of the baked goods around.

"Actually, I've been thinking of retiring." Itsuka stated truthfully and Izumi perked an eyebrow while she peeked over from the side.

"If that's what ya want then go fer it, not like it's a bad time." the greenette commented reasonably and Itsuka thought back on something from a couple years ago.

Izumi had actually been the first of their year to retire from heroics, completely at that, and while everyone had tried to get her to rethink the decision, Izumi was quite adamant about her choice. It was a pretty big shock for everyone and Itsuka had asked in her own time why Izumi was so set on retiring.

*Flashback*

"I told ya I wasn't gonna be a hero forever," the greenette replied simply, "we're all plenty beat up from injuries over tha years an it's not like we're getting younger."

"That's true but isn't this really sudden?" Itsuka had pressed, "Even I didn't hear about this beforehand."

"Course ya didn' I just decided," the greenette explained and Itsuka probably should have seen that coming, "Retiring has been in tha back of my mind fer a long time an sure I'm still tougher than any of ya but I can tell this is tha place ta stop."

"But, why?" Itsuka questioned, her mind still not really comprehending whatever Izumi had.

"Tha point of retiring is ta go on ta tha next part of yer life," Izumi explained, suddenly taking on a more serious tone, "Ya know I got a lot of wear an tear on my body but isn't it better ta call it quits an be able ta still live life instead of being forced out after I get some permanent injury?" the greenette posed to the orange haired woman and Itsuka thought of how all those years ago All Might had hid what should have been a career ending injury and what he had to suffer permanently from years of continuing on as a hero.

Despite how shocking and abrupt Izumi's decision was, Itsuka couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed about her own reaction. "When you put it like that then no one can really say anything about it."

Izumi had gotten out of her seat across from the orange haired woman and walked around the table before draping her arms around Itsuka and hugging her from behind, "I'll tell ya tha truth," Izumi began, her cheek resting on top of the orange haired woman's head while Itsuka placed her own hand on top of one of Izumi's, "there are countless days where I wanna ask ya ta retire as well but tha's not up ta me." the greenette admitted with another nuzzle, "yes I'm yer wife but I never wanna get in tha way of yer dreams. I'm just...moving ta tha second part of mine okay?"

Itsuka closed her eyes and leaned back into her wife, Izumi did say she had always intended to take over her family's candy shop and expand it as a small coffee shop, "Okay." Itsuka answered and Izumi hugged her a touch closer.

*Flashback End*

Itsuka pushed her empty cup forward and Izumi refilled it while giving her a small plate of sable cookies, "By the way," Itsuka piped back up, "I know everything here is good but shouldn't you have a specialty thing?"

"Do I need one?" Izumi pondered, having pulled up a stool to sit across from her.

"It'd probably be a good idea." the orange haired woman suggested and her green haired wife tilted her head in thought before a sharp smile spread on her lips. Uh oh.

"Fine, I'll make a mikan cake be tha shop's special." Izumi decided readily and Itsuka nearly sputtered while also cursing Izumi for waiting until she had been taking a drink.

"You are so immature," the orange haired woman took the napkin that her wife had passed over, "I don't know how you've managed to practically never change since we've been together."

"It's my best quality." Izumi bragged with a large and cheeky grin while Itsuka shook her head.

"That's easily arguable." the still active hero shrugged blandly but the greenette still kept her smile.

"Cause it's so hard ta pick what's tha best about me!" Izumi cheered smugly and Itsuka had to at least commend how optimistic she was.

"Sure, let's go with that," she agreed with another sip of coffee, "but are you seriously thinking of a mikan cake?"

"Well, mikan anything should be tasty," Izumi figured, a finger tapping at her chin, "My hero outfit was accented orange an tigers are orange too so it's not like I was just doing it ta tease ya."

Itsuka lowered her cup in realization and stared at her wife, "How did I never figure out that you're actually more associated with orange than I am?"

"Not my problem," Izumi shrugged and Itsuka felt the familiar annoyance that hadn't changed in all the years they had known one another.

"But I'm the one with the nickname?!" the orange haired girl asked with disbelief.

"Yer head is tha color of a mikan, Mikan Head!" Izumi argued back, prodding at her hair from across the counter, "plus it's not like ya never gave me a nickname!"

"Not a direct one! It's just 'cat', 'damn cat', or 'kitty cat' when you're being annoying or I'm messing with you!" she pointed out but Izumi didn't appear convinced.

"Close enough isn' it?" the greenette reasoned in a bit of a deadpan but Itsuka wasn't having it.

"You've been calling me 'Mikan Head' constantly for almost 30 years now!"

"Yer hair's been orange even longer than that! It's a miracle that I'm tha first one ta think of it!"

"That's because no one's as annoying as you!"

"Nah, just no one annoys ya in particular as much as I do."

"So ya do know you're annoying?!" Itsuka growled and Izumi immediately switched from heated to smug in the blink of an eye.

"We gotta fix that accent of yers." her green haired wife forced down a chuckle behind her hand and Itsuka as always flushed in embarrassment whenever she caught her wife's accent.

"You're one ta tal-SHIT!"

The customers that later entered witnessed the famous and frequent sight of the owner being scolded by her wife as she tried not to laugh.

Notes and Stuff

A little bit unexpected maybe but when it came to the side stories in the anthology I wanted to explore the many different times of the characters' lives. In this case, Itsuka and Izumi are 45 and Izumi retired from heroics at 43. As stated in this, they did eventually get married but I can elaborate more on that with its own dedicated chapter. This side story came from chapter 16 of Tiger's Bite in fact, both Izumi talking about not being a hero forever and expanding her family business, so that was where the idea was first entertained. Even Itsuka accidentally adopting some of Izumi's accent first appears in that chapter too.

I mentioned some stuff particularly in regards to the one shots but I'll have to say that I'm not too familiar with many challenge prompts or common prompts/troupes in general as I surprisingly don't really read fanfics that often. I'm usually writing them or don't have the time so unfortunately I'm not as versed in that department. So with that out there, feel free to let me know some of the ones you like. I can't guarantee I'd know how to or would use them but I'd love to try them.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed and look forward to more updates from me!
