This is a remastered version of Savior's incarnation

The premise and plot of the remake chapters wouldn't be different the only thing different is how I write them. Let's just say I'm not satisfied with the old one. I won't delete that old one but it'll be discontinued.

And for updates maybe around monthly would be the best for me right now given my circumstances.

Anyway enjoy the story.

Note: This is an AU that follows the main story plot of Honkai Impact 3. Some events in the future might be different from the canonical timeline of the game itself.

Chapter 1: Escape

Floating above on the skies of the middle of the pacific ocean. Lies Schicksal main base, where their overseer Otto apocalypse currently resides.

In his own personal office, the man is currently sitting down on his chair whilst reading the report that came from the Kolosten research team.

With a satisfied smile the man sipped his coffee.

Currently the team is working on 2 projects. Project: Sirin and Project: Ubermensch.

Earlier this week he had seen both of those projects early success. Test subjects K-423 and C-020, Became conscious in the same day.

After countless braindead clones he finally managed to create a Herrscher clone using Kiana Kaslana's genes. While on the other hand he also managed to create a perfect soldier clone by combining many strong Valkyries and knights genes into a single entity.

Nothing couldn't have gotten better until he received an unexpected development notice.

"Subject C-020 managed to awaken an undiscovered Stigmata?" At a first glance Otto couldn't believe what he was reading. Even project: Kallen didn't have anything like this happening.

Her granddaughter Therese Apocalypse one of the two successful clones of Kallen didn't have any natural stigmata on her let alone obtaining them after she gained consciousness.

But after seeing the pictures attached on the files. His doubt subsided and his interest peaked.

"A regular stigmata on his chest with a snake in an hourglass pattern biting it's own tail huh…Hmm fascinating" The overseer's smile deepens.

"A Herrscher and a super soldier that has it's own natural stigmata…Things couldn't get any better… Perhaps with this the path of Humanity's victory can be secured"

Scrolling down a bit further into the report. Something caught Otto's attention

"Amber!" A couple seconds later the android known as amber, That's also the 2nd surviving clones of kallen enters his room.

"You called my lord?" The android stands in front of his desk.

"How's subject S-010 condition?'

"Unconscious my lord…"

"Find more information about her background…"

"Can I ask your reason for that my lord?"

"This girl, Sakuya. She is one of the surviving subjects of world serpent's Celestial MANTIS Project"

"Understood my lord…I shall carry your orders" The android bowed her head before leaving.

Otto glances back to his computer screen. A word that appeared on the report caught his attention. Their rival the world serpent is doing some human experiments again.

"…Project: Celestial MANTIS" From the name alone makes Otto wonders.

What kind of Honkai genes did they infuse to her? that project also have a very high mortality rate of 99% and she is the sole survivor of the project.

He have heard about the term MANTISes from the previous era. A Soldier made from infusing a Honkai gene into them. With a gene editing technology that the previous era posses a few years after the 1st MANTIS soldier was created. That process became more efficient and have a higher success rate than the old meta morph surgery that previous era MOTH scientist used to use.

If the world serpent manages to succeed on that project again. They might pose a bigger threat to his plans or to Schicksal.

For now the overseer of Schicksal can only wait. If he could meet with their sire perhaps the two can strike a deal. But as of now that would be an impossible task as their sire is trapped somewhere in the sea of quanta.

His plans to get all the parts of the 2nd divine key, Cosmic Juggernaut might be ruined because of that.

Somewhere in the Kolosten lab.

"Ma'am… This recent subject that we stole from the world serpent is very interesting" A Scientist showed his superior the tablet.

"Are you sure this data is not mistaken?" His superior tilts her head after looking at the data that was shown on the tablet she's currently holding.

"Yes, we've done some checks and-" The scientist words were immediately cut off as the alarms began to blared loudly.

"Tsk, another trouble… You" She points at the scientist "Get to a secure location now! I'll organize the guards"

"Y…Yes ma'am!" The male scientist immediately bolted out of her office as she sighs.

Checking her computer. The woman immediately found the problem.

"Sector 5 seal off any entrance! Someone has stolen K-423 and C-020 from their pods find those intruders now!"

She stood up from her seat and 2 guards escorted the overseer of this facility to a safer location.

"Just who in the world manages to get into this Kolosten facility? Did AE do this? Tsk those 2 Subjects locations were confidential too… How did they find them so quickly?" She mumbled. But little does she knew that it was a certain Kaslana that had just broken into this facility is also getting helped from an insider.

A small girl started to gain consciousness amidst the cold and empty room, void of any humans around. As she woke up, she saw nothing but darkness.

The coldness of the liquid pierced through her skin and plain gown that she wore. She's also suspended in some kind of liquid. Soon her vision gets better and she could see herself being trapped in a glass tube like container. She also saw a reflection of herself because of how dark the room is.

A Girl with emerald green eyes. She has long dark hair and with pink gradients near the tip of her hair.

Thump thump-

S-010 bangs her hands on the glass, maybe someone would hear her, someone would free her. Her expectations quickly dropped when she heard no response whatsoever.

Outside was silent, dead silent. No scientist came in to check on her, No one came in to rescue her either. This room is empty with only machines accompanying her

She remembered giving herself a name, instead of a code that some scientist gave her. Sakuya was her name but she couldn't remember much else other than the agonizing pain that those cruel scientists have put her through.

Her memories slowly return to her. Now she understands why she isn't too fond of this place and the place before she came here was much worse. A small part of her missed her first caretaker.

He was the one that picked her off the streets, fed her and taught her how to read, write and talk. She didn't have a name at the time and he didn't ask her one either as he knew of her condition at the time.

The girl was an amnesiac when he found her. He gave her the privilege to give herself her own name. A name that would later become her own identity.

By reading the far eastern books. The little girl eventually found a name that she likes, Sakuya. The name derived from a princess in the far east that lived thousands of years ago.

Her stories are now but mere folklore at this point yet the little girl at the time found the princess's name to be beautiful.

Although parts of her memories have returned. None of them are really helpful in her current situation.

Sakuya kept banging on the glass barrier that separates her from the rest of the room in hopes that she could escape. Unfortunately, the girl is just too weak to do any significant damage to the barrier.

"Silly human… How can a human as weak as you survived all of that?"

"!" Sakuya flinched as soon as she heard that voice. Where did it come from? She looked around and saw nothing but an empty room. No one came in or out of the room she was held in, is she going crazy?

"Hehe you won't find me if you try and look."

She heard it again. But how did it come from inside her head? The girl could only scratch her head trying to find any reason of why this is happening.

This voice. This EGO, it felt powerful compared to a mere mortal like her. She chose not to say things she shouldn't say, that would potentially anger it. But what does it want exactly?

"Escape this place human. I will help but you have to survive on your own just like before you were dragged into this place."

She tilts her head. The only question swirling in her mind was how? How could she possibly escape from here?

Yet without the EGO saying anything else. Sakuya felt something else from the air and liquid around her. A weird new sensation.

It seeps into her body without much effort although not much has changed.

"Use that… That thing you feel around you, it is called Honkai energy, Augment it into your own strength and escape"

Sakuya doesn't know who it is or what it really wants from her, but she wouldn't let an escape opportunity to be let go so easily.

That weird feeling had now engulfed her fist and with one punch a crack has formed on the glass.

"!" The girl couldn't believe it and wastes no time as she throws more of those similar kinds of punches until eventually-

Crash-!

The glass shatter and everything that was inside gushed out almost instantly dragging her along with it.

Her ears slowly work normally again and now she starts to hear noises, a lot of loud noises. The blaring alarms could even be heard from the room she's in.

'Is it because of me?'

She had difficulty trying to stand up on her own two feet. Her muscles is way out of shape as she hasn't used them in a very long time.

And as if the alarms weren't enough, 2 adults barged into the room. Although they didn't exactly look like scientist that worked on her and they even brought 3 kids along. 2 of which was carried by them.

A man and a woman both of which looked surprised at the girl that had just broken out of her container

"Dad look! She's free! Let's bring her with us too!" The small girl that was standing next to her father pointed her finger at Sakuya. Dumbfounded by the situation Sakuya doesn't understand what she truly meant.

Sakuya doesn't know if they're a friend or an enemy but they don't seem to want to hurt her nor do they look hostile.

"Your friend Mobius was right there is someone else here" The man walks closer.

He and the child he was holding has similar hair and features. The child on his arm looks very much identical to the girl that just pointed her finger at Sakuya.

"It'll be okay little one… we'll help you be free" With those words. Sakuya became less tense although she still kept her guard up.

"Sieg this way to the hangar" The woman on the other hand look like a scientist. She has blond hair and yellow eyes. While the boy she was holding has a deep red and slightly dark hair whose features look very different from her.

"Alright can you walk?" Sakuya nods, while the small girl takes her hand and smiled.

"My name's Kiana by the way"

"O…Oh uhm… It's Sakuya"

"Ohh a far eastern name! Hehe let's get along then! Stay close to me I'll protect you"

"Y…yeah" Sakuya held the little girl's hand a bit tighter. By doing so she felt a little safer.

They ran and ran. From corridor to corridor while evading the sights any guards they came across.

Alarms were still blaring in the background as they ran along the long corridors of the facility trying to find the hangar that Natalia talked about.

Speaking of which the Scientist woman is called Natalia Milkova and the man is called Siegfried Kaslana. The children they carried in their arms were a similar case as Sakuya, meaning they were experimented just like her.

Now that they reached the hangar after running for almost an hour.

But that didn't solve all of their problems however, as they quickly learned that there are still a number of guards in the hangar. It's almost impossible to steal a plane without getting caught.

"Damnit… Why aren't they moving?" Siegfried cursed to himself as everyone hid behind crates in the side of the hangar.

"I'll go and distract them then"

It was an outrages idea that Siegfried didn't tolerate and without a second thought he retorts immediately. "No! Stay here I'm not leaving anyone behind"

Siegfried and Natalia glared at each other. The scientist backed down in the end with a frustrated sigh. The Kaslana is just too stubborn for this.

"Any ideas then? Boats don't work neither do trains Sieg… If we get caught stealing a plane, the plane might get shot down and don't even think about distracting them only you can fly a damn plane"

"….."

Silence. Everyone looked down in silence, no one can come up with any great answer.

"Hmm seems like you still need my help human…"

The EGO Spoke once more. Since it was inside of Sakuya's head no one other than her could hear what it was saying.

"You'll experience a lot of pain but in exchange I can create distraction that no other Human guarding this place could ignore"

Having no other option Sakuya contemplates on whether she should take it or not.

"Fine… Let's just go with that" In the end she chose that option.

"Hmm interesting choice… You really are desperate it seems, alright point your hand at that direction I'll do the rest"

Sakuya did as she was told. Both the adults look at her confused with what she's actually doing.

After a minute nothing seems to happen, now both adults are starting to question the child's sanity or maybe she's pointing at something they couldn't see.

It wasn't until they felt a tremor from the ground they were standing on. Earthquake? No that couldn't be possible as Kolosten weren't built on an active tectonic plate area.

The only other explanation is if something exploded and that worked as the alarms blared even louder than before. The Guards in the area also scattered leaving the area empty.

Sakuya's vision starts getting blurry. Her head felt heavy and stinging as if needles were poking her head. Something drips down from her nose and the corners of her eyes. It's blood.

Without being able to register it Sakuya fell down on her knees as her legs gave in. Leaving the adults and Kiana in a state of panic.

"I'll carry her… Sieg go! Start the plane! We need to treat her as soon as we can!"

Natalia immediately picked up the girl. Somehow Sakuya is still conscious but she's not very responsive to her surroundings.

"Is she going to be okay?" Kiana frowned looking at the state of her friend.

"I'll make sure she's going to be okay"

Kiana can only trust her with that statement as she nods and board the plane.

They eventually flew off into the distance with Siegfried flying low to avoid any radar detecting them.

"Kehehe What an interesting Human! To think a child would survive that. You're more tenacious than most humans. As expected for someone that survived a MANTIS program" The EGO spoke again as she observed the state of the child she just helped.

None of them knew what had really happened. But that miracle made their escape much smoother. Thankfully the plane had a first aid kit that would stabilize Sakuya's condition until they could give her any proper treatment once they finally land at their destination, Alaska.

Somewhere in an undisclosed Location. There the seed of Sumeru was located.

Inside was one of the world's pioneers, Su. The man had locked himself there observing the known multiverse in search of a way for Humanity to beat the Honkai.

Yet for decades he waited and observed the tree in front of him and the leaves it produces which represent 1 universe. Never gave him any answer. Every universe had Honkai as a problem yet none truly succeed in banishing them.

But in the past year a new variable entered the realm of the Seed of Sumeru unexpectedly that he didn't even foresaw it coming. A black box appeared and it strangely only contains the soul of a Human that was trapped in it.

Something that the Human inside it didn't really understand how it was possible as she was trapped there with another being, A herrscher. Yet that dangerous being disappeared completely as if the black box was split into 2 parts.

Yae Sakura was the name of that Human. A human that resembles a late old friend of the light gray-haired pioneer in terms of appearance and the way she talks. But their circumstances were different on how they obtained their fox ears above their heads.

One was a MANTIS and the other was a Pseudo Herrscher. Yae Sakura has been accompanying the man ever since, as she couldn't really leave this place even if she wanted to.

With her physical body being non-existent suffice to say that the Seed of Sumeru and that black box is ironically the only safe space that the girl could freely live as a spirit for now.

"Su… What's that? Why did the color on the leaves suddenly changes from green to white?"

Sakura glances over at the tree in front of them. With one of the leaves in the palm of Su's hand even the man couldn't understand what's really happening. Multiple leaves that were on a similar branch began to turn white as well.

And then a smaller branch fell off the tree. All the leaves that fell with it sporadically changes its color as if they all suddenly became a rainbow.

"Maybe we should intervene Su" Yae said she looks rather concerned just now. Usually, only leaves fell not an entire branch like this

"Hmm, not a bad idea Yae san…" The man lets go of the leaf on his hand and began to hope again. 'Maybe things would really be different in this era.' He thought

'But why did that branch fell? Did something happen?' Su shakes his head and decided to wait a little longer.

"But let's be patient for now, Yae san… Although something concerning may have happened… We still need to be cautious. This might be our only chance in finishing this war against the Honkai…"

"…Once and for all" The pioneer declared. The fox eared girl behind him began to smile as well. Because with this perhaps her Savior, Kallen, would finally have her dream that she pursued to come true.
