(Hi everyone, Fox here! I'm very much in love with Genshin Impact and the characters so I decided to do a reverse harem story with Lumine and a bunch of the guys in the game. This story takes place shortly after the Archon Quest Song of the Dragon and Freedom. Also in this world Paimon does not exist because 1. I didn't feel like writing her and 2. it would have made some scenes very awkward and difficult to write. Also there will be lemons in later chapters, I will put a warning at the beginning of those chapters. Make sure you're 18 or older to read those ones. Thanks for reading and please enjoy the first chapter!)
Chapter 1:
"She should be heading out of there any minute now." Kaeya remarked as he watched the entrance to the Knights of Favonius Headquarters. Not even a minute later the great doors swung open and out strode the person he was looking for. The Honorary Knight herself, Lumine. Her blond hair fluttered around her face as she smiled and waved at the guards at the doors before starting to make her way towards him. Kaeya was just about to call out to her when a voice interrupted him.
"And what do you think you're doing?" Kaeya whirled around to find a tall red haired figure standing in front of him, that scowl of his looking extra grim today.
"I was just about to wish our dear Honorary Knight safe travels. What are you doing?" Kaeya shot back with his trademark smirk. If he was being honest he was forcing it. The real reason he was here was because he wanted to ask the Traveler if he could join her on her journey. He had already had Jean approve his leave for a set period of time and had a bag packed and ready to go, he just needed to ask her. He wasn't exactly sure what had spurred him into this spontaneous wanderlust, perhaps the idea of seeing new places intrigued him or maybe the chance of getting closer to the Traveler interested him more than he thought.
Diluc snorted as he crossed his arms. "I happened to have some free time and thought I would ask the Traveler if she needed anything for her journey."
"The Traveler is quite resourceful; I'm sure she already has everything she needs to make her trip as smooth as possible." Kaeya replied, hoping he could get Diluc to leave before she reached them.
"Kaeya and Diluc!"
Too late. Kaeya thought as he Lumine called out to them. Plastering on a warm smile he turned to her and greeted her warmly.
"Hello there Miss Honorary Knight, how are you doing this fine morning?"
"I'm doing great, and please, call me Lumine." Lumine replied sweetly, her gold eyes twinkling in the sunlight.
Kaeya chuckled and nodded, "Very well, Lumine." He glanced down and saw her hefting a fairly big backpack in her arms. "Heading out of Mondstadt already?"
Lumine nodded, a determined fire blazing in her eyes. "I'm afraid so; I need to keep going if I'm going to find my brother."
Kaeya was about to ask his burning question when Diluc cut in. "Do you need any extra supplies?" Kaeya glared at him but Diluc seemed to be ignoring him as he talked to Lumine.
"Nope! I made sure to stock up on everything beforehand. I got plenty of food, medicinal supplies, water. . ." Lumine trailed off as she held her bag close to her chest, her expression suddenly turning downcast.
"What's wrong?" Kaeya asked, curious as to what could've caused her sudden change in demeanor.
She stared at the ground, her boots scuffing the stone as she shuffled in place. "Well, I've been in Mondstadt for so long now and now that I'm continuing my journey I'm already starting to feel lonely. It's been so nice being around so many wonderful people and friends and now that I'm leaving I'm not sure when I'll see another friendly face." Tears were starting to well up in her eyes as she spoke and she hid her face behind her pack.
Kaeya was reaching out to put his hand and her shoulder and comfort her when Diluc shoved him aside.
"I can go with you." He announced as he rubbed her shoulder reassuringly. Lumine glanced up at him in surprise.
"R-Really? But don't you have to oversee the winery and Angel's Share?" She asked with a tilt of her head.
Diluc shook his head as he responded, "I have people that can oversee and take care of everything while I'm gone."
"If you're sure it's fine then I would love to have you with me." Lumine replied with a grin. Kaeya couldn't believe what was happening; Diluc was stealing his place! He was supposed to be the one traveling with Lumine, not Diluc.
Kaeya shook his head, perhaps he could still salvage the situation. He sauntered back over arm around Lumine, taking both her and Diluc by surprise. "Y'know I have some free time and I would love to travel with you as well." He murmured as he met Lumine's golden gaze.
Her face lit up at his words. "Really?! I would love that!" She smiled even brighter, her happiness nearly blinding. Kaeya glanced over at Diluc slyly and gave him a wink. Diluc's frown quickly turned to a scary scowl at that but he hid it when Lumine glanced back his way. "This journey is going to be so much better now that I have the two of you with me." Lumine said excitedly as she bounded out of Kaeya's grasp and towards the entrance of the city. "C'mon you two, our adventure awaits!" She announced as she turned heel and started skipping towards the gate.
Kaeya started towards when Diluc suddenly jerked him by his shirt and held him so they were face to face. "Listen here and listen well, if you dare do anything funny to Lumine I will kill you." Diluc growled, his voice just barely above a whisper.
Kaeya met his fiery hot gaze with his own icy cold glare as he replied, "Same goes to you, dear brother." Diluc released his iron grip on him and huffed as he rushed to catch up with Lumine. Kaeya brushed himself off and sighed, a smirk crossing his lips as he trailed after them.
Looks like I'm not the only one interested in Lumine after all. May the best man win Diluc. Kaeya thought with a devilish grin. This journey was going to be a lot more fun than he initially thought it would be.
